Although it's small, this one bedroom apartment has an open layout which makes the place appear larger than it is. You can tell that they maximized every bit of space in this apartment. I love that their living room and kitchen area is filled with so much stuff from a mini workshop near the kitchen to various artwork, framed pictures and knick-knacks displayed throughout their home. I'm surprised they even have two TVs (and there probably is another one in the bedroom) within such a small space but I guess as reporters they need to stay informed on the latest news.
Some other things I noticed are:
Kitchen
The kitchen is small but they made good use of storage by going with a couple of open shelves to display many of their bowls and glasses while boxes were also used to store the rest. Although, it's hard to see in the second picture there is an island with a sink with plenty of drawers and cabinets for additional storage.
On the counter by the stove is a mug tree (or holder) to store their everyday mugs and glasses. There's also a utensil holder, glass storage containers and a glass pitcher (or beverage dispenser).
Living/Dining Room
I noticed that instead of a bookcase, there are several boxes stacked on a long table. I can't help noticing they have a lot of books on their make shift bookcase as well as on the side table near the couch. Also next to the couch is a magazine rack filled with stuff including a copy of The Daily Planet newspaper. Despite being a small space there is room for a dining table which probably doubles as a work space (unless there is another area designated for it).
This place is really cozy just look at the couch it looks like something you can lounge on relaxing after a long day of work.
I think the set decorator/designer did a great job making this apartment look like a real home instead of looking like something out of a catalog. This looks like a home that Lois and Clark decorated because it fits their sensible yet extremely busy lives.
