New Book Purchase: Star Wars Costumes: The Original Trilogy

I have wanted to buy Star Wars Costumes - The Original Trilogy for the longest but I could never find it on sale. And $60 is a lot for one book, even if it is Star Wars. However, a few days after Christmas, I found it online for $46.99 at Target. I knew I had to order it especially for that price and I'm glad I did because it sold out afterwards.

I just love all the costumes and I can't wait to flip through the pages to see all the details. I'm a big Star Wars fan (and I'm sure anyone who visits my blog knows that), I really can't get enough of it. From watching the movies and TV shows to reading the books, I never tire of finding new stories in this ever expanding world of Star Wars.

Book: Star Wars: Costumes - The Original Trilogy by Brandon Alinger with Forewords by John Mollo, Aggie Rodgers and Nilo Rodis-Jamero

Description:

Who can forget the first time Darth Vader marched onto Princess Leia's ship, in his black cape and mask? Or the armored suits of the stormtroopers? Or Leia's flowy Princess dress? These costumes—like so many that adorned the characters of that galaxy far, far away—have become iconic.

With many of the costumes fully assembled for the first time since filming ended, Star Wars Costumes gives fans a fresh look at the creation of the original trilogy's iconic wardrobe. This impressive tome offers a rare and in-depth look into the Lucasfilm Archives, with all-new photography, behind-the-scenes images, new interviews, and original costume concept sketches by the renowned artists—some of which have not been seen in more than 3 years. This book is sure to become a classic in your Star Wars library.
