Which brings us back to the seventh season when Kara finally appeared. What I like about this version is that she's headstrong, confident and a little impulsive. While she was trying to get to know her cousin Clark, she was also trying to familiarize herself with being on Earth and living in Smallville, Kansas. There was definitely a period of adjustment for her and she was trying her best to fit in. But she went from Krypton's highly advanced world to ours, nothing can really prepare you for that. She truly was in a different world.
(Smallville season 7 promo)
Kara's wardrobe initially was very casual with typical mid 2000s pieces such as crop tops, cute tops, shorts, t-shirts and jeans. Throughout the series, her wardrobe evolved into something more sophisticated. But this outfit of a crop top, crop hoodie and shorts was an iconic look for her which is why I picked it for this Fashion Meets Comics.
(Smallville season 7 episode 2 Kara)
I wanted to recreate the look but I made one change. Instead of a crop hoodie I went with a regular one in a darker blue. I figure if you already have a crop top why do need a crop hoodie as well. Plus, it made the look feel dated. For the rest of the outfit, I kept the crop top (just not as short) and shorts.
As for accessories, I included a silver cuff bracelet which for Kara was both an important piece of Kryptonian technology and fashionable jewelry. Her bracelet was also engraved with the symbol of the House of El. Although, Kara wore red boots with this outfit, you could wear flip flops, gym shoes or sandals as well.
