Fashion Meets Star Style: Tessa Thompson

In 2018, Tessa Thompson attended the Sundance Film Festival wearing an oversized Belstaff blazer, turtleneck and a gathered waist skirt paired with Wolford black tights and Alchimia Di Ballin Nix silver booties. I like this outfit Tessa is wearing, it makes me think of a time when you could sit in the library reading for hours.

One of my favorite fashion styles or trends is Academia which I feel Tessa perfectly mastered with this look. This style which has a preppy bookish feel to it is usually very popular in the fall and winter but you can adjust the look to wear it all year round.

If you want to give this a different look, you can replace the skirt with pants, jeans or shorts. I like that she wore eye-catching silver booties, it adds a little fun to her look.

What I like about the Academia look is that it's a classic and tailored style that's easy to put together. It incorporates classic fashion staples such as sweaters, flowy tops, turtlenecks, blazers, skirts (long or mini), pants and other pieces to give you an effortlessly chic look. It's very nerdy chic.
