Star Style: Angela Bassett and Connie Britton (Zero Day Promo)

In recently released promotional photos for the new Netflix mini series Zero Day, Angela Bassett and Connie Britton were both wearing eye-catching yet easy to wear monochromatic looks. Angela is wearing a beige (or sand) top, pants, coat and heels. And Connie is wearing a black jacket, top, skirt and heels. These are both very simple yet sophisticated outfits that could easily go from day to night.

I really love this Carolina Herrera burgundy V-neck spaghetti strap dress that actress Jenna Dewan wore in her InStyle magazine photo shoot. It's a simple yet classic style that's just so effortlessly chic and glamourous. The stylist paired the dress with equally simple yet stylish black Christian Louboutin heels which really completes the look. And since this is such a classic style, you can find affordable versions of this look.

Star Style Video: Ryan Guzman (Behind the Scenes for DA MAN magazine)

The movie Step Up 4: Revolution may have initially put Ryan Guzman on the map, but it's his current character Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz on the TV series 9-1-1 that has become such a beloved fan favorite. He is currently on the cover of the October/November issue of DA MAN (or DAMAN) magazine. The magazine recently posted this behind the scenes video for his photo shoot.

I feel like the stylist Kimberly Goodnight channeled a Hallmark character. He looks like he stepped out of one the channel's romantic comedies. A character who is Type-A/uptight and too busy for life, love and romance. That is until he meets the vibrant laid-back love interest who breaks him out of his monotonous life that makes him see that there is more to life than work. Which resulted in him getting a new wardrobe that goes with the new him.

Anyway, I really like these outfits, they are very preppy, polished and sophisticated but also very casual and cool. Also with the glasses, it's giving me Clark Kent vibes.

Star Style: Isla Fisher

I love this outfit that actress Isla Fisher wore to attend a book party for The Spoken Object: A collector's journey in fashion, jewellery, design and architecture edited by Gene Sherman. This is a really good outfit, a red double-breasted blazer paired with what I believe is a black cami with a lace trim and flared jeans.

A blazer is very adaptable, you can style it in so many different ways. And I like that she with a casual chic style by pairing this red blazer and gold buttons with a cami (I believe) and jeans. I absolutely love a good flared jean and ones that are a little long (I'm short (and so is Isla) so most of my jeans are a little on the long side). Anyway, the ones she wore are amazing, I totally love these jeans. This is a good outfit, I do wonder what shoes she was wearing, maybe platform boots, sandals or wedges for a little extra height which is what I would have gone with. Regardless, this is just an effortlessly chic outfit.

Star Style: Ronen Rubinstein, Brian Michael Smith and Rafael Silva

I can't wait for 9-1-1: Lone Star to return in January for the show's fourth season. Until then, here's a fashionable look at three of the show's actors. Yesterday, Ronen Rubinstein, Brian Michael Smith and Rafael Silva attended the Outfest Legacy Awards which celebrates LGBTQIA+ representation in film and media. They each wore eye-catching suits, you know what I love about fashion is that men's suits are no longer boring and basic, they're a lot more fun and creative.

Ronen wore a Mans gray oversized plaid suit paired with Alexander McQueen boots. Brian wore a Dolce & Gabbana black and white graffiti print denim jacket and jeans and a black turtle neck paired with black patent leather (or faux leather) shoes. I'm not sure if the shoes are D&G but they could be as well. Rafael wore an Ocean Rebel sky blue double-breasted blazer and matching pants and a Weishen Paris white mesh top and paired with black Gucci loafers.

They each have their own amazing look and I love that there is a mixture of bold prints and textures. It all has a timeless yet modern feel.

Star Style: Nicole Maines, Azie Tesfai and Javicia Leslie

Actresses Nicole Maines, Azie Tesfai and Javicia Leslie attended ACLU Southern California Bill of Rights Awards on Sunday, October 16th and they each look stunning. Nicole is wearing beautiful Pamella Roland black dress with a pearl embellished collar and bow on the back. Azie is wearing a colorful and cute yellow halter wide-leg jumpsuit and Javicia is wearing a black sequin halter dress.

This picture makes me miss watching both of The CW's DC Comics TV series: Supergirl (Nicole was Nia Nal/Dreamer and Azie was Dr. Kelly Olsen/Guardian) and Batwoman (Javicia was Ryan Wilder/Batwoman).

Star Style: Lauren Ridloff

A little flashback fashion for Sunday, actress Lauren Ridloff wore this really beautiful eye-catching and colorful Naeem Khan floral sequin pant suit at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) back in July. She was there promoting her TV series The Walking Dead and I remember seeing pictures of this suit and thinking it was amazing.

This suit is a totally statement piece and I love that she kept the styling to a minimum with only pairing it with hoop earrings and strappy black sandals. Her hair and makeup is simple yet stunning, her curly hair was up in a classic high ponytail and her red lipstick and fuchsia nail polish really added another fun pop of color to her look.

I love that this is still a very classic and elegant look but the bright colors and floral makes it feel very fun and summery.

Star Style: Alexandra Shipp

The temperature may be starting to get cooler, well it is officially fall but that doesn't mean we can't still wear cute clothes. Look at this really cute outfit actress Alexandra Shipp wore for the 8th annual Through Her Lens: The Tribeca CHANEL Women’s Filmmaker Program.

Her outfit is a Chanel embellished red and white striped cardigan paired with Chanel print jeans and most likely Chanel sandals as well. This is such a fun and cool look, I love that it's mismatched but very much still goes together. It has a very colorful and creative vibe to it, I really like it.

As for beauty, her make up is understated but flawless. I love her hair, it's very big and and curly and her bangs are perfect. Overall, this is just a really cool look.

Fashion: Kat Graham at the Cannes Film Festival

Happy Friday!

It's time for a little fashion, what do you think of this dress that actress Kat Graham wore on the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival? I think she looks absolutely stunning.

The style of her dress makes me think of 80's glam especially with all the embellished details of the flowing train. For her hair, I like that her stylist went with a look that's simplistic yet very pretty and chic. It keeps the focus and attention on her dress. Her makeup is spectacular, a nude lip pair with playfully defined eyes. This is such a pretty dress, overall she just looks amazing.

Fashion Meets Comics/Star Style: Arielle Kebbel's Deadpool T-shirt and Red Pants

I have a lot of t-shirts with comic book characters on them, I'm wearing a Wonder Woman t-shirt right now. I mention this because while I was looking for information about this year's New York Comic Con (NYCC), I somehow found pictures of actress Arielle Kebbel from the 2018's NYCC. As soon as I saw her outfit, a Deadpool crop top and red wide leg pants, I thought it would be perfect for a Fashion Meets Comics/Star Style post.

Fashion Meets Star Style: Greta Onieogou's Jumpsuit and Sandals

Looking for a little style inspiration, actress Greta Onieogou wore this really cute denim Good American jumpsuit and Vince Camuto platform sandals when she appeared on the talk show The Real. I really like this outfit, it's laid-back yet stylish and polished. This jumpsuit and platform sandals also give off a retro vibe but it still feels very cool and modern.

To get her look, I found the jumpsuit and sandals which are a little pricey. However, if this is not in your budget, there are similar styles you can find at a more affordable price.

Jennifer Lopez has been promoting her upcoming new movie Marry Me which is in theatres on Friday, February 11th as well as streaming on Peacock. I like this backstage photo of Jennifer, she was waiting to appear on Live with Kelly and Ryan. She was wearing an all pink Valentino outfit and what I absolutely love are the platform strappy sandals.

Fashion Meets Star Style: Natacha Karam

I love bright and bold colors, I'm totally inspired by them and they're superfun to wear. No one wears bold colors better than actress and fellow color enthusiast Natacha Karam. Her Instagram account is filled with pictures of her wearing wonderful and interesting outfits in lively bold colors and prints. She is such a style inspiration because she's certainly not to afraid to wear bright colors and she makes it look easy.

Fashion Meets Star Style: Megan West

I really like this outfit that actress Megan West wore for a magazine photoshoot. It's chic but has a laid-back feel. She's wearing a black turtleneck paired with a black leather or faux leather jacket and acid wash jeans. I don't usually like acid wash but it's all the details that make me love these jeans. I wonder if they're boot cut or wide leg?

This would be a good outfit to wear to meet up with friends for lunch or dinner, well you know, if we weren't in a pandemic.

Happy Monday, I thought I'd post this picture of actor Ronen Rubinstein from the LA Fashion Week back in October. He was wearing this quirky and rather interesting Stella McCartney sweater. And the more that I look at it, the more I really like this sweater. The unique pattern really stands out.

Fashion Meets Star Style: Tessa Thompson

In 2018, Tessa Thompson attended the Sundance Film Festival wearing an oversized Belstaff blazer, turtleneck and a gathered waist skirt paired with Wolford black tights and Alchimia Di Ballin Nix silver booties. I like this outfit Tessa is wearing, it makes me think of a time when you could sit in the library reading for hours.

One of my favorite fashion styles or trends is Academia which I feel Tessa perfectly mastered with this look. This style which has a preppy bookish feel to it is usually very popular in the fall and winter but you can adjust the look to wear it all year round.

Fashion Meets Star Style: Daisy Ridley

I love how the stylist put Daisy Ridley in a Star Wars t-shirt and paired it with a pastel orange layered voluminous ruffled skirt. It's really eye-catching. Anyone else think this outfit looks like something that Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw would have worn on the show if she was perhaps going to a Star Wars movie red carpet premiere.

Fashion Meets Star Style: Naomie Harris

I've always loved bright colors and I wear a lot of them which is why I love this outfit actress Naomie Harris wore for her photoshoot. It's a simple coat and dress but the bright magenta and orange really stands out. The combination is so perfect together and I also like the turquois background it brings out the colors in her outfit.

This is an outfit I'd wear, it's cute, colorful and cheery.

Fashion Meets Star Style: Chloë Grace Moretz

Due to the pandemic a lot of us are working and going to school at home. Being at home has made dressing really easy because I've been wearing more sweats and lounge wear more than anything else. But I want to get back to wearing cute and non-lounge/sweat clothes again. Yet I still want to be comfortable.

Which is why I love this outfit that actress Chloë Grace Moretz wore a few years ago. I know she's wearing a sweatshirt but pairing it with a mini skirt totally kick it up a notch style wise. This look is so cute and casual yet still looks ultra-comfy.

This is a simple look to put together with a cozy sweatshirt paired with a cute skirt. Since Chloë's sweatshirt has a sheer panel, I picked this Buffy the Vampire Slayer black sweatshirt because I wanted something that was unexpected yet still pretty cool. I paired it with a faded red skirt for a pop of color.

Summer Look: Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba has such amazing style. From vibrant skirts and dresses to skinny jeans and tops, I have never seen a photo where she's wearing anything awful. Take for instance, this picture from 2010, Jessica's wearing a classic summer look of a button down shirt paired with cuffed denim shorts. It's cool and laid-back but also really chic with how she styled it with oversize sunglasses, bracelets and colorful sandals.
