Depending on how he is written my favorite thing about the Caped Crusader is when he's actually using his detective skills to solve a mystery or case. Since not every writer is good creating a compelling mystery, Batman's detective skills are sometimes pushed to the side to show him fighting off villains.
One of my least favorite things about Batman is when he's shown doing nothing more than fighting. I know that Bruce spent years honing both his body and mind but I feel like a lot writers only want to focus on Batman using his fighting skills instead of using his keen intellect. Of course there are going to be times when Batman will have to fight but that shouldn't be the only thing he is shown doing. Especially since in the world of DC Comics he is knows as the World's Greatest Detective and it makes no sense not to show him using his detective skills.
