As much as I enjoyed some of the fifth season episodes (quite a few of them have not been very good), I feel like the writers are trying to turn this show into something it's not. 9-1-1 isn't Chicago Fire or Station 19, the show is it's own wonderfully unique series because it has a lot of fun and ridiculous moments and the characters are like a found family that really care about each other. And a lot of these moments are few and far between or all together missing so far during the first half of the fifth season. It really stands out that the writers are trying to do something different this season and it's just not working. Hopefully, tonight's episode and next week's midseason finale will be good especially since the shows rating have been up and down throughout this first half.
It seems like viewers and fans are not happy about this season and are starting to opt out. I do hope they will tune in tonight especially if this episode turns out to be good. However, if this is another bad Ghost Stories episode then I don't blame fans for finding something else to watch if the writers keep putting out bad episodes. Anyway, here's the trailer for tonight.
9-1-1 season 5 episode 9: Past is Prologue 8:00 PM EST FOX
