Meme vs 9-1-1

Happy Monday! I wanted to start the day with something fun.

Yesterday, I rewatched the first episode of 9-1-1 and there was a scene that made me think of the old spliced together meme of "woman yelling at cat". It's the scene after the firefighters drop off the baby that was rescued from the pipe and the baby's mother to the hospital. That scene had Police Sergeant Athena Grant very understandably mad at Probationary Firefighter Evan "Buck" Buckley after he wanted to refuse transporting the mother of the baby.

The mother was a teen girl who had secretly given birth to a baby and was dealing with complications. When Athena said "that mother was no less of a child than her baby.", she was right. And Buck refusing to help although he was also understandably mad because the baby would have died if the firefighters hadn't rescued it. But his job is to help no matter what. Anyway, before this topic becomes too heavy, I just wanted to post the 9-1-1 scene because it reminded me of the meme.

Athena's anger is just as palpable as The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Taylor Armstrong and Captain Robert "Bobby" Nash looks just as placating as RHOBH's Kyle Richards. And Buck looks just as confused as the cat. Meanwhile, Henrietta "Hen" Wilson is standing there observing the entire scene.

(9-1-1 season 1 episode 1: Pilot)
