Happy Friday! What fandom thoughts are on your mind? Well, here are some of mine:
- I rewatched the 9-1-1 sixth season mid-season finale episode Red Flag and I was looking at the fire that the 118 put out and it really looks like some one only set a certain section of a grassy area on fire. I do wonder if that couple that Fire Captain Robert "Bobby" Nash is suspicious of perhaps killed his sponsor Wendell and set a fire to get rid of any evidence on the body that showed he had been murdered. And they left drug paraphernalia near the body so it makes it seem as if Wendell overdosed but that still doesn't explain the fire and how the area caught fire. Especially since the fire was in a residential area and not out in the woods. When I first watched the episode when it originally aired (Monday, Nov. 28th), the couple asking Bobby questions about the fire after it was put out immediately set off red flags (hence the title of the episode).
To me as the viewer, the fire seemed suspicious and to Bobby as well and I don't think the Police Detective assigned to the case is going to really look into Wendell's death. Because according to Bobby's wife Police Sergeant Athena Grant, the detective stated that the area where the fire was and where Wendell's body was found is a known area for drug users. Which makes me think that the detective isn't going to make too much of an effort to really investigate Wendell's death. They'll probably write it down as a overdose. But then how do you explain the fire because if he some how died from an overdose, how did the fire start? See this is probably why Bobby is going to take it upon himself to investigate Wendell's death and the couple he thinks may be behind it since the police probably won't really look into it. I'm really interested to see how this story is going to unfold in the second half of the season.

- It's disappointing that Wonder Woman will not have a third movie. I really don't know what the new executives over at Warner Bros. Discovery are doing over there in regards to DC Comics. I guess they don't see the value in another Patty Jenkins Wonder Woman movie which is disappointing. The second movie wasn't bad, I actually really enjoyed watching it. I do wonder if they plan on keeping Gal Gadot signed on as Wonder Woman and maybe at some point later on they'll make another movie. Or they're letting her go and plan to recast the character, which would also be disappointing because I think Gadot does a good job portraying Diana/Wonder Woman.
Well, if they do pass on Gadot continuing in the role then maybe her and Amy Adams could make a really fun and cool action comedy spy movie or a mystery or a romantic comedy. Especially since it seems like those same WBD executives don't seem to find any value in Amy Adams continuing as Lois Lane as well.
- I know that Castle has been over for quite some time which means no more new episodes of one of my favorite series. But something I would have loved is Alexis Castle and Hayley Shipton in a spinoff series. I thought it would have been a fun show because any time I watched their scenes, I could see them starring in their own PI or detective series. In the spinoff Alexis and Hayley could have continued their detective work for Castle's private investigation company. And truthfully, they were the geniuses behind the successes of the company, sorry Richard Castle.
Too bad ABC never announced a spinoff for this duo, it would have been awesome to see these two taking on cases and solving crimes. Two smart, funny, take charge women who remind me of Sherlock Holms and Dr. John Watson. It's impossible not to be a fan of these two and not imagine what a series starring them would have been like.
