Fandom: 9-1-1's Buck and Eddie won third place in Battle of the Ships contest

Tell-Tale TV recently had a Battle of the Ships contest and Evan "Buck" Buckley and Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz from the 9-1-1 TV series were listed in the category Ship You’d Most Like to See Sail. In round 1, there were 20 non-canon couples and Eddie and Buck survived to make to it to the second round where the couples were whittled down to 12. And from there they made it to the third and final round where the couples were whittled down again to six.

Buck and Eddie did relatively well, they survived all three rounds but unfortunately didn't win first place. However they did win Third Place. First place was Wednesday Addams and Enid Sinclair from the Wednesday TV series. And Second Place was Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Organized Crime TV series.

I find it interesting that Buck and Eddie (or Buddie as the ship is called) continue to be one of the most popular ships. Especially in spite of the 9-1-1 Showrunner going out of her way to keep putting Buck and Eddie with random bland and boring love interest, especially the last minute ones they got in the sixth season finale, than with each other. I can't believe they would waste the amazing chemistry Buck and Eddie have. Regardless, that's not going to stop fans from continuing to ship them. Eddie and Buck have already been written to be each other perfect love interest, too bad the Showrunner and writers won't follow through with it.
