Fashion Meets Comics: Kara Danvers (Supergirl)

In the beginning of the Supergirl episode The Bodyguard (season 5 episode 14), Kara Danvers, her sister Alexandra "Alex" and her friend and co-worker Nia Nal were at the Obsidian Platinum virtual pop up. As they were leaving, Alex's girlfriend Dr. Kelly Olsen arrived with a cute little bento box with food for Alex. So, while Kara was being adorably nosey and a little too interested in the dumplings that were in the box, she was wearing this really nice tie waist trench coat.

I love this coat because it's chic and sophisticated but also have a casual everyday feel to it. Kara could wear it to work or to style up her weekend look. To get the look I found a tie waist trench coat that has a similar look and feel. It's a lighter color and has adjustable button sleeve tabs. Usually for one of my Fashion Meets post, I find a lot of different yet similar pieces. But I found this coat at the start of my search and didn't feel like looking for any more because this is a great find. And since Kara is a journalist, a nice coat at a good price is probably something she's find rather newsworthy.
