Fashion: Janelle Monáe at the "UglyDolls" Premiere

Janelle Monáe attended the Los Angeles premiere of her movie UglyDolls on Saturday (April 27th) wearing this cute and colorful look. I love a pop of color and feel like you can never go wrong with wearing bright and bold colors.

I just love her outfit, Janelle looks fun, comfortable and stylish on the orange carpet. She's wearing an Alice + Olivia 'Rylyn' embellished t-shirt paired with an Alice + Olivia 'Ursula' sequin skirt. It's very casual glam.

As for accessories, the Edie Parker 'Jean' hearts clutch and the bright and bold jewelry really adds even more fun to her look.

I feel like I've been reading magazines for as long as I've been reading books. I know the publishing industry has changed a lot and and magazines are no exception especially since several magazines have either gone out of print or have gone digital only. So it's nice to still be able to find a magazine at the store. At least for me, it like with physical books I enjoy holding the magazine and turning the pages.

And two that I'm going to be on the lookout for are the July issues of Allure and Marie Claire magazines which have Janelle Monáe and Amy Adams on the respective covers. The pictures from both photo shoots are stunning, I like the bright, bold colors and voluminous dresses that Janelle Monáe is wearing while Amy Adams has an understated look in all white.

Magazine: Marie Claire's Fresh Faces Covers and Interview Highlights

It's that time of the year again when Marie Claire magazine unveils their Fresh Faces issue. The May issue which will be available on Tuesday, April 18th will have five different covers that will feature: Aja Naomi King, Alexandra Daddario, Zoey Deutch, Emily Ratajkowski and Janelle Monae.

I know who Aja Naomi King, Alexandra Daddario and Janelle Monae are but I don't think I've seen anything the other two have starred in. King stars on How to Get Away with Murder, Daddario was in the Percy Jackson movies and Janelle Monae a singer and actress and was in Hidden Figures and Moonlight.
