Star Style Video: Ryan Guzman (Behind the Scenes for DA MAN magazine)

The movie Step Up 4: Revolution may have initially put Ryan Guzman on the map, but it's his current character Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz on the TV series 9-1-1 that has become such a beloved fan favorite. He is currently on the cover of the October/November issue of DA MAN (or DAMAN) magazine. The magazine recently posted this behind the scenes video for his photo shoot.

I feel like the stylist Kimberly Goodnight channeled a Hallmark character. He looks like he stepped out of one the channel's romantic comedies. A character who is Type-A/uptight and too busy for life, love and romance. That is until he meets the vibrant laid-back love interest who breaks him out of his monotonous life that makes him see that there is more to life than work. Which resulted in him getting a new wardrobe that goes with the new him.

Anyway, I really like these outfits, they are very preppy, polished and sophisticated but also very casual and cool. Also with the glasses, it's giving me Clark Kent vibes.

Photo: Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman (Entertainment Weekly)

I remember how excited fans were for the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Especially when this picture of the characters: Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman from the movie were on the cover of Entertainment Weekly's July 2015 Special Comic-Con Double issue.

I'll be honest I wasn't that thrilled about seeing Batman v Superman especially after my disappointment after watching the movie Man of Steel. And not to mention the trailer for Batman v Superman didn't really sell me, however the teaser trailer initially did. Yet, there was something about this movie I was still excited to see and that was Wonder Woman. This was going to be the character's first appearance in a big screen live-action movie. And I couldn't wait to see it. But once I did, yeah, it was not the best.

Fans had been waiting for years to finally see these three characters on the big screen together. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice should have been The Superhero movie instead all that potential was wasted. I will say the theatrical version of this movie had moments where it was good but it felt like they were trying to do too much in one movie. And edited out things that should have been included which is why I prefer the extended version of the movie. It's much better even though there is still too much happening but this version added more to the story. Anyway, I still love this cover photo from the magazine, I found the textless version to post.

Beauty: Jenna Dewan's Favorite Beauty Products (Glamour magazine)

According to the Glamour magazine article Jenna Dewan Drops Her Skin Care Routine, actress and dancer Jenna Dewan likes to unwind with a “witchy bath” at night. “I use all kinds of essential oils, Epsom salt, and some lighted candles. The sage is going; it's a whole vibe for me at night in my baths. I love all my spiritual stuff, and I love meditating.”

Aside from taking "witchy baths", Jenna likes to take good care of her skin. As a teen she struggled with acne and as an adult she's dealing with discoloration and melasma. “Skin care has always been a true passion of mine,” she says. “I need multifunctional products and a routine that's not going to be too complicated but will do all the things that I need and really work.”

Below is a list of some of her favorite beauty products for skin discoloration and brightening (along with her comments):

Video: Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine Take The Friendship Quiz (GQ magazine)

I'm really looking forward to seeing the upcoming Red, White and Royal Blue movie which will premiere Friday, August 11th on Amazon Prime. Some early promotion (prior to the Actors' Strike), that the actors Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine did for GQ magazine is this fun little Friendship Quiz with surprisingly most of the questions are about food. This video really shows how good they're chemistry is because for a romantic comedy you don't want weird or forced chemistry because that would quickly ruin a movie.

Home & Garden: RuPaul's Home Tour (Architectural Digest)

Looking for a little home and garden inspiration, well you have to take a look at RuPaul's magnificent home. There is no fear of color here because every room that he showed is bursting with almost every shade and not to mention eye-catching patterns. I just love the closets, especially his drag costume closet that can double as a museum exhibit. Every room in the house and the outside spaces are fantastic, this is just a beautiful amazing home.

Tom Hiddleston (GQ magazine)

I didn't forget about the Loki TV miniseries premiering yesterday, I'm going to try to watch the first episode today. Until then, here's a nice picture of Tom Hiddleston holding a book while standing in front of shelves full of books.

Home & Garden: Karen Gillan's Home Tour (British Vogue)

Karen Gillan's home has a comfy and laid-back feel. Sometimes when celebrities show off their homes, they tend to have a cold and weird museum/showroom aesthetic to it. Which is why I like Karen's home, it has a warm, fun, relaxed and offbeat feel to it.

I love seeing so many of her collectable, it's cool that she has so many amazing items throughout her office and home. I also love seeing all the books on the shelves and that she showed a couple of board games. This place seems to reflect her quirky personality.

Issa Rae (The Hollywood Reporter)

I'm so behind on watching Insecure, I really need to get caught up. Since it's been a while, I'm thinking of just rewatching the show from the beginning on HBO. Until then, here is a really beautiful photo of the amazing actress Issa Rae who is the co-creator and a writer for the series.

Fashion: Kerry Washington's Jumpsuit (InStyle magazine)

I love this bright and colorful Richard Quinn floral print jumpsuit (it has a built in cape) that Kerry Washington is wearing. A colorful jumpsuit would make a fun go-to-party look for summer because this looks comfy while still looking chic. I love that it has a cool 70s feel to it, this is so cute.

Entertainment Weekly's "Wonder Woman 1984" Cover

I can't wait to see Wonder Woman 1984 and this cover is awesome. The New 52 really put an big emphasis on Wonder Woman using a sword and shield and unfortunately made its way into the first movie. Which is why I'm glad that the upcoming sequel will focus less on her wielding these weapons because she really doesn't need them. This was one of the things I missed about Wonder Woman and it's good to see at least the movie-verse making a return to it.

Side Note: if anyone is on the fence about seeing the Birds of Prey movie, please go see it. Guys, I can't overstate how fun this movie is, I'm thinking about seeing it again this weekend. I rarely go back to see a movie a second time, I usually wait until it's out on DVD/Blu-ray.

Katie Leung (Wylde Magazine)

I never understood why some Harry Potter movie fans didn't like Cho Chang. I always thought actress Katie Leung gave a great performance as Cho especially in the fifth movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. In that movie, Cho was under a great deal of stress including dealing with a broken heart while also opening her heart up to a potential new love. She was going through a range of emotions and Katie portrayed that perfectly.

Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway is an amazingly talented actress and I love that you don't see her but whatever character she's portraying. No matter the role, she completely transforms perfectly into that character. To me that truly marks a great performer.

I have to get the September issue of InStyle (which is out on newsstands now), it celebrates the magazine's 25th Anniversary. It will also feature some of the past celebrities who have appeared on the cover such as: Kerry Washington, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Jennifer Garner, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Jessica Alba and more.

John Boyega (GQ magazine)

Isn't this an amazing picture? I love that not only is John Boyega, who looks very relaxed and stylish, is holding a Star Wars book but behind him are two magnificent rows filled with even more of them.

Yara Shahidi (Harper's Bazaar)

I love this picture of actress Yara Shahidi, her hair is so magnificent. It's so big and pretty and eye catching and I absolutely love it. I like that she's not only a rising star in Hollywood but also an activist who encourages teens to register to vote and get involved to help make positive changes in the world.

Zendaya

I haven't seen Spider-Man: Far From Home yet and so far I've been able to avoid spoilers. I do hope Zendaya's character Michelle Jones will get a bigger role in the movie. I like Michelle, she's a weird and emo kind of character who's not trying to impress anyone which I think is awesome.

Anne Hathaway

Do you remember when Anne Hathaway was hated? I didn't understand the backlash against her. All she did was enjoy her accomplishments after winning an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Les Misérables along with a host of other awards. Where was the harm in doing that? They accused her of being arrogant, smug, self-centered, boastful and a narcissist among other terms.

I found the backlash to be so ridiculous along with all the articles and posts that were written about her. It's not as if she was out there doing something terrible but for some reason Anne Hathaway celebrating her achievements caused a problem.

Well, I'm glad all of that animosity towards her has died down because she's really is an amazing actress.

Elizabeth Olsen

You can tell I'm a total bookworm because the first thing I thought of when I saw this picture of Elizabeth Olsen is that this would be a perfect place to read a book. The view is so idyllic, how could you not image yourself sitting there enjoying a good read.

Chris Hemsworth (Variety Magazine)

Who else is excited to see Men in Black: International? I totally am, we just have to wait a few more weeks until it's released on June 14th. I hope the movie does well at the box office because the trailer looks fun and I can't wait to see it.

I'm glad Chris Hemsworth's acting is finally getting more attention because for a while it seemed like some fans and various media were only talking about his looks. I think he's good in dramatic roles (see Rush) but he totally excels as a comedic actor (see Ghostbusters and Thor: Ragnarok).

Constance Wu

Constance Wu was amazing in the Crazy Rich Asians movie and I also hear she's equally amazing on the Fresh Off the Boat TV series. I've never watch the TV series, I think I'm going to give it a watch since it's on Hulu.
