Preview for Miss Fury issue #1

Dynamite Entertainment will be publishing a new Miss Fury series which will be written by Corinna Bechko with illustrations by Jonathan Lau. The first issue will be available on April 6, 2016. I think the previews look good and I will be adding this to my pull list.

Review:

I thought this was good but not as good as I hoped it would be. To me the story just felt like a bunch of villains trying to find a treasure that didn't belong to any of them. And I found many of the characters to be either way too talky or not that interesting.

I thought The Black Sparrow and Miss Fury were cool and I would like to read more comics featuring them. However, I don't think this story really showed how awesome they could really be. I do wish there had been more information given about both The Black Sparrow and Miss Fury because the story felt a little lacking in that area.

The story follows The Black Sparrow teaming up with The Shadow after she was double crossed by a client. After the two catch up with the crooks, Sparrow ends up double crossing The Shadow so she could team up Miss Fury to find the treasure.

The artwork and story were good but I do think there were a few errors especially with the dialogue it doesn't seem to go with the 1940s feel of the story.
