Preview: Big Moose one-shot (Archie Comics)

As a longtime Archie Comics fan, I'm happy that Moose Mason is getting a one-shot titled Big Moose one-shot. The book priced at $4.99 will be available on Wednesday, April 26th. It will feature three stories written respectively by Sean Ryan, Ryan Cady and Gorf with illustrations by Thomas Pitilli, Cory Smith and Ryan Jampole. And color by Matt Herms, Glenn Whitmore and Kelly Fitzpatrick with letters by Jack Morelli.

Last February, I wrote in a post "Five Archie Comics Characters I Wish Had Their Own Comic Book Series", that an ongoing series would be a great way to show Moose is more than just a big dumb jock. But that doesn't mean I don't love Moose the way he is, I just wanted them to add a bit more character development. From looking at the previews, I like what I've seen but I hope Midge Klump will appear in all the stories and not only in just a few scenes.

I also hope that if this one-shot sells well that it will lead to an ongoing series. Here are all the covers for the issue followed by the preview.

Description:

Riverdale's resident jock gets the spotlight in this special one-shot where everything's Moose!

Preview: Black Panther issue #1

Although this first issue of the upcoming Black Panther series will not be available until Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Marvel has released a preview so readers can see what we are in store for. It looks like T'Challa may be a King without a Kingdom, it will be interesting to see where this will lead. I will be adding this to my list.

The series will be written by Ta-Nehisi Coates with illustrations by Brian Stelfreeze and color by Laura Martin.

Preview: Superman: Lois & Clark #1

I wasn't planning on turning this into "Superman Day" but I haven't posted a preview in quite a while and Comic Vine has an exclusive preview for the upcoming Superman: Lois & Clark comic book series. It premieres next Wednesday (10/14) and will be written by Dan Jurgens with illustrations by Lee Weeks.

With so many fans getting fed up with the current state of both Superman and Lois Lane in the New 52/DC You, many (including myself) are excited for this new book to hit the shelves.

Here's a look at the first issue and I would love to know what you think about it? Will you be picking it up next week (be it digital or in print)?

Preview for The Green Team issue #3

The Green Team: Teen Trillionaires is quickly becoming one of my favorite series. It's funny and silly, everything that's missing from a lot of the comics in the new 52.

Below are a few previews for the third issue of the series that was released on Wednesday:

Preview of Adventures of Superman digital issues #7 and #8

If you're looking for a well written interesting Superman, well Adventure of Superman is the book you should be reading along with Smallville Season 11 and Superman: Unchained. They are the only three books were you will find a Clark Kent/Superman worth reading. Action Comics isn't too bad either.

Anyway, the 7th and 8th digital issues feature the first two parts of the three part story and there's also a secondary Lois Lane story as well. The second issue of the print edition will be available at the end of the month.

Below you will find the previews for the digital issues of Adventures of Superman:

Book of Interest: Eartha Kitt: Femme Fatale

I'm going to call my local comic book store later today to see if they carry the Eartha Kitt: Femme Fatale series. This premiered back in February so I really hope they do. I also hope Eartha Kitt's Catwoman appears in the Batman 66' comic book series. Her Catwoman was great.

Below are a few previews from the first issue:

Preview for Adventures of Superman digital issue #3

The more I see of this series the more I can't wait to read it. I might have take a chance and buy another digital comic but I just love going into the comic book store to buy my books. I have a question for anyone who reads this comic, I want to know if Lois Lane is featured in it?

Don't forget the digital issues are only 99 cent.

This chapter does NOT feature Bizzaro! It does NOT have lots of flying and punching and super-heroics! It is NOT drawn by rising star artist Riley Rossmo!

Previews for the new Batman/Superman comic book

Cover for Batman/Superman issue #1 by Jae Lee

Cover for Batman/Superman issue #2 by Jae Lee

I'm not sure if I will be reading this new series. The interview with the series writer Greg Pak didn't really spark any interest in this series for me. But I might give the first issue a chance, maybe it'll surprise me and be really good.

Sometimes I feel like DC Comics is over doing it with all the Superman and Batman stuff. I wish they would promote some of the lesser known characters too.

Anyway, here are the four previews from the first issue of Batman/Superman:

Previews for Adventures of Superman digital issue #2

The second digital issue of Adventures of Superman (which is available now for .99 cent) was written by Jeff Lemire (he also did the line art as well). The print edition which will include both the first and second digital issues and will be out at the end of the month. Doesn't the art color remind you of water color? I like it, it's different.

Story Description:

Straight from the mind of Jeff Lemire, this chapter features Superman vs. Brainiac! Or is it Lex Luthor? Or Zod? All of the above?! Find out for yourself!

Comic Book of Interest: Aw Yeah Comics #1

This seems to be turning into a comic book day but don't worry I have my Wish List Wednesday and it's not comic book related.

Book: Aw Yeah Comics! issue #1

Description:

AW YEAH COMICS!!! It's FINALLY here! The catch phrase? The store? Nope. THE COMIC! This is it! The comic you've heard so much about! Action Cat! Adventure Bug! Follow these amazing super heroes created by Art Baltazar and Franco in this EPIC ALL-AGES comic extravaganza featuring contributors from across the comic industry! From the creators of Tiny Titans and Superman Family Adventures!
----

That's so great, Aw Yeah Comics! is by the same the creators of Tiny Titans and Superman Family Adventures, which were two really great comics series. This is available now for $1.99 in digital, it will go to print edition but I believe you will have to contact the company (Aw Yeah Comics) to order the print issues. I think I'm going to have to do just that because I really want to read this.

Below are three previews from this issue:

2 Comic Books Getting Good Buzz: Adventures of Superman and The Movement

The latest Superman comic to hit the digital shelf is Adventures of Superman written by various authors. The first chapter is available now for 99 cent. You can get the complete first issue in print edition at the end of May. Since I'm a print edition girl, I'll have to wait until then. I'm just glad they ditched Orson Scott Card (he had no place writing for a Superman comic).

Below are three previews for the first chapter:
