Scarves are no longer just for cold windy days they are worn all year round. They are a great way to add a little bit of style to an outfit even if it's just a t-shirt and jeans. What I like about the color red is it catches the eye and it truly stands out which leads me to Mako. And who doesn't stand out more than him?
Mako's scarf is more than just a fashion statement it's a way for him to stay connected to his parents who were murdered. Prior to giving his grandmother his scarf (see The Legend of Korra season 3), Mako was rarely without his red scarf. He usually dresses for function and not for style but this red scarf was his little touch of fashion.
Challenge for today is to just rock a red scarf like Mako. There's nothing easier than that.
