Comic Book News #3: Grumpy Cat and Pokey, Comic Awards, Fashion and More

- Dynamite Entertainment's Grumpy Cat and Pokey get an all new weekly online comic book series. The comic strip The Misadventures of Grumpy Cat is available Mondays and Thursdays at GrumpyCatComics.com.

-  DC Comics' miniseries PREZ written by Mark Russell with illustrations by Ben Caldwell was given the Best Comic Book Award from the National Cartoon Society (NCS) at its annual Reuben Awards. The Reuben Awards honor the outstanding achievements of professionals in the world of cartooning. Celebrating creators in a variety of facets including newspaper strips, TV animation, gag cartoons, comic books and more.

I think it's pretty cool that this book received an award. I have not read this yet but I plan to.

- Looking for something new to add to your collection, the DC Super Hero Girls Katana Action Doll will be available in July for the price of $40.00. Unfortunately, it will only be available at this year's San Diego Comic Con. So far there is no news on whether it will be available in stores.

This 12-inch doll will come with a display stand, which can also hold her sword, interchangeable hands and various weapons (a katana, two sai, three shuriken, a naginata or a sheathed tanto).

This product will be available for pre-order at MattyCollector.com from June 17 through June 26. But orders must be picked up in person at the San Diego Comic-Con.

- Love some of the fashion you've seen in Captain America: Civil War? Clothing company Matchless London has an exclusive Captain America: Civil War line featuring jeans, jackets and a belt inspired by the characters. Be forewarned, the prices for the collection range from $150 for a limited edition belt to $1,500 for the jackets. Matchless also has other movie collections as well.
