Entertainment News: Kelly Marie Tran in a New Movie, Netflix book series Bookmarks and the LEGO Star Wars game trailer

If like myself you're a big fan of animated movies, actress Kelly Marie Tran will be voicing the main character Raya in the upcoming Disney animated movie Raya and the Last Dragon. The movie, which is tentatively scheduled to be released March 21, 2021, will also feature the actress and comedian Awkwafina who will be voicing the character Sisu.

The movie which is co-written by Adele Lim and Qui Nguyen is about Kumandra, a land that was split into five different regions and a warrior named Raya who is searching for the last dragon in hopes to save Kumandra. The summary of the film seems interesting and as a fan of Kelly Marie Tran and Awkwafina, I can't wait to see this movie.

Netflix has a new book related series called Bookmarks: Celebrating Black Voices which will premiere on Tuesday, September 1st. It will feature Lupita Nyong’o, Common, Tiffany Haddish, Misty Copeland and more reading children's books as way to engage young readers.

As a bookworm and reviewer, I'm really excited about this new show but I would love it even more if actor and fellow bookworm LeVar Burton was featured as one of the readers. To many of us bookworms, he's known for haven been the wonderful host of the show Reading Rainbow. So it would be so amazing if he is featured in this new series.

This trailer for the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga video game looks amazing. Although, I'm a big Star Wars fan, I'm really not a big gamer. I like to play the few games that I have but it's just not a big interest for me. Okay, for instance the last game that I bought was Batman: Arkham City for my Xbox 360.

I also haven't replaced my game console either but after watching this trailer, I may actually save up and buy a new one. Because I really want to get this game. And since it's not being released until next Spring that will give me time to save my money and figure out which console I should maybe get.
