On My List: October 20th

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. It's been a while since I've posted an On My List and I have so many things that I want to post. But here is just a small list of what I want to read and watch.

Book on my TBR (To Be Read) List that I Want to Read Soon:

I'm slowly but surely making my way through my TBR List but there are just so many books on it. And one that I plan to read soon is The Paleontologist by Luke Dumas. The description immediately drew me in because it's a supernatural/sci-fi mystery with the possibility that a dinosaur or the ghost of one is behind the mystery. Or is it something much more human? It seems like an interesting story and one that I can't wait to read.

Book: The Paleontologist by Luke Dumas

Description:

A haunted paleontologist returns to the museum where his sister was abducted years earlier and is faced with a terrifying and murderous spirit in this chilling novel.

Curator of paleontology Dr. Simon Nealy never expected to return to his Pennsylvania hometown, let alone the Hawthorne Museum of Natural History. He was just a boy when his six-year-old sister, Morgan, was abducted from the museum under his watch, and the guilt has haunted Simon ever since. After a recent breakup and the death of the aunt who raised him, Simon feels drawn back to the place where Morgan vanished, in search of the bones they never found.

But from the moment he arrives, things aren’t what he expected. The Hawthorne is a crumbling ruin, still closed amid the ongoing pandemic, and plummeting toward financial catastrophe. Worse, Simon begins seeing and hearing things he can’t explain. Strange animal sounds. Bloody footprints that no living creature could have left. A prehistoric killer looming in the shadows of the museum. Terrified he’s losing his grasp on reality, Simon turns to the handwritten research diaries of his predecessor and uncovers a blood-soaked mystery 150 million years in the making that could be the answer to everything.

TV Show I Want to Watch:

I have been wanting to watch Superstore for a while but never got around to until now. The show ran for six season as it follows a group of zany and disfunctional employees at the big box store, Cloud 9. I just wonder how annoying are these characters not only to each other but to the most likely weird customers as well in this work-place comedy. From the trailer, I can already see there might be a potential romance between Amy and Jonah. I guess I'll see how that will turn out. Just so you know, I know nothing about this show other than what I've watched in the trailer and saw that it ran for six seasons. So I've spent a long time avoiding any information about this show.

Superstore

Starring: America Ferrera, Ben Feldman, Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos, Mark McKinney, Nichole Sakura, Danny Gura, Jon Miyahara, Kaliko Kauahi and more

Creator: Justin Spitzer

Description:

An oddball family of employees at supersized megastore Cloud 9 tackles the day-to-day grind of rabid bargain hunters, riot-causing sales and nap-worthy training sessions. Stalwart employee Amy is just trying to hold it all together despite the best efforts of her daftly clueless manager Glen and his iron-fisted assistant Dina. Rounding out the crew is new hire Jonah, a dreamy dreamer, sardonic Garrett, ambitious Mateo and sweet young mother-to-be Cheyenne. From bright-eyed newbies to seen-it-all veterans, bumbling seasonal hires and in-it-for-life managers, they're all going to get through another day -- together.

Movie I Want to Watch:

I can't believe I haven't watched KPop Demon Hunters yet. I kept saying I'm going to watch this movie but never got around to watching it. But I'm going to watch this week. The trailer just looks so amazing as it follows these singers who are also superheroes fighting against evil supernatural beings. This just looks so cool. I can't wait to watch this, I just need to get my snacks and sit back and relax.
