I was looking for something new to watch when I saw the trailer for Boyfriend on Demand, a miniseries that premiered earlier this month on March 6th on Netflix. This 10 episode miniseries looks like a fun, cute and romantic show. I find the concept very creative. With the way the world just feels like you don't have a lot of time for anything let alone dating, I guess Seo would rather try to experience romance through virtual reality. But it looks like she also might find it in the real world too. It will be interesting to see which world she would rather put more time and focus on, will it be Boyfriend on Demand or the real world? With Boyfriend on Demand giving her the perfect romantic experience will she be willing to give romance in the real world a chance? I can't wait to watch this.

Looking at the trailer for the Young Sherlock TV series it feels like a prequel to the Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes movies. It wouldn't be far-fetched especially since Ritchie is one of co-creators for the TV series and how seeing the similar mannerisms are for both versions of Sherlock Holmes.
Despite the mixed reviews I've seen for this series, I am very interested in watching it. I want to see how the story and mysteries will unfold. I do wonder why James Moriarty was added to the series? By including the character so early on, it takes away the mystery or mystique of his character. Well, he was also included in the 1980's Young Sherlock Holmes movie but in that he still had that mysterious element.
Hopefully, his presence won't take away from Sherlock finding his own self-growth and strength and while he continues hone his deductive thinking and skills. Anyway, I can't wait to watch this. The first season has eight episodes which are all available to watch.

Books I Want to Read:
There are so many books I want to read and these two books are definitely going on my list: Nawlins by Deric Augustine and The Elsewhere Express by Samantha Sotto Yambao. Both are fantasy books with the first being set at a magical school and second being set on a magical train. Both focus on the main characters' uncovering secrets and also a bit of self-discovery. Based on the description, Nawlins feels like it's going to be full of drama, action and magic. And I wonder how wistful The Elsewhere Express will be especially since you only can get on the train when you feel like your life has no meaning. Regardless, both of these books seem like they are going to be really good reads.

I read the description for this romantic mystery Drop Dead by Lily Chu and knew I had to read it. The story follows two rival reporters who have to work together to uncover the truth about a scandal. And I guess as they're working together they start to see a different side to each other. So, will they find the truth and fall in love? I guess I'll see once I get this.

Since hockey romances aren't my usual genre of books, I had no idea about Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid let alone that it was adapted into a TV series. Funny enough I used to be a big hockey fan but for some reason I must have lost interest in it. I certainly don't know the names of any of the players on my local national hockey team that's for sure. I don't remember the last time I watched. But I'm sure if I wanted to, I could probably go back to watching it. Anyway, back to this new show, Heated Rivalry, I'm not sure if this is a TV series or a miniseries, either way, the first season has six episodes. And the first two episodes premiered yesterday (Friday, Nov. 28th) and the other four episodes will be released on Fridays (December: 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th).
The show seems interesting because despite progress in the LGBTQ+ community, there is still unfortunately plenty of hate and homophobia in the world directed at that community. And with Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov being professional athletes, them being open about their sexuality is probably not going to get the positive reception that it should. Which is probably why they are keeping what they're doing a secret. Since I never read the book (maybe I will), I don't know how this will turn out. Will they get the chance to be themselves and have both their careers and love/relationship? Or will they have to continue to keep everything a secret as not to lose everything?
I'm trying to see when I'll start watching this because do I want to read the book first then watch the show or just watch the show and read the book later? I also still need to watch the first part of Stranger Things' fifth season. I didn't get a chance to watch it when it premiered on Wednesday and I have been avoiding spoilers ever since. Anyway, since I want to watch both shows, I just need to figure out which one to watch first.

Book on my TBR (To Be Read) List that I Want to Read Soon:
I'm slowly but surely making my way through my TBR List but there are just so many books on it. And one that I plan to read soon is The Paleontologist by Luke Dumas. The description immediately drew me in because it's a supernatural/sci-fi mystery with the possibility that a dinosaur or the ghost of one is behind the mystery. Or is it something much more human? It seems like an interesting story and one that I can't wait to read.

There are so many shows On My List that I want to watch which includes The Residence. It's a mystery dramedy that centers on a murder at the White House. I can't wait to see the mystery unfold and play out while trying to figure out who is the murderer. And since it's set in the White House is the murder politically motivated? Or is it perhaps personal?
As soon as I finish watching The Z-Suite (which I'm so loving) and I will start watching The Residence.

From a dark supernatural fantasy to a foodie cozy mystery to a cozy witchy supernatural romantic comedy, I so want to read these three books. They each seem like such good reads. The first book has magic that's seems like it's haunting and life changing. While the second book has small town murder mystery with the new resident as the prime suspect. And finally, a witch is looking for a new love but is her former love helping or hindering the processes.

As I've been dealing with the return of my reader's block, I've been watching a few different shows and one I started today is Not Dead Yet. I'm watching the first season (the show is currently in it's second) and I'm loving what I've watched so far. It's just warm and heartfelt and funny as it follows Nell Serrano, who after a disastrous breakup tries to restart her life and get her old job back as a journalist at the SoCal Independent. However, she's back but not with her old job, she now writes obituaries. But there's a catch, the ghost of the person she's writing the obituary for shows up. And one way or another she gets to know them which allows her to write a very well-written and profound story of their life. The show also centers around her friends, co-workers and roommate and all their interesting issues.
I've only watched the first seven episodes but this show completely grabbed my attention from the first episode. And I can't wait to finish watching the rest of the first season. I'll write more as I watch more episodes because the fourth (Not Dating Yet) and fifth (Not Moving on Yet) episodes that centered around Nell dating were really well-written. She was hiding and running away from her life and prior relationship issues. But in the end, she got some much needed ghostly advice because she can't keep avoiding her life. Anyway, as soon as I finish with the first season, I'll start the second so I can get caught up before the next new episode airs on Wednesday at 8:30 PM EST on ABC.

Currently Reading:Lulu Dark Can See Through Walls by Bennett Madison. I found this forgotten book on one of my shelves and I have been zipping through it ever since I started reading it.
Last Song: "Take Care of Me" by Chrysti Ane on Spotify. It was recommended to me, so I thought I'd give it a listen. It's not a bad song, it's pretty catchy. I could see re-listening to it.
Last Movie:Crossword Mysteries #1: A Puzzle to Die For, I rewatched it yesterday. I really love this series, this first movie was a good introduction to the Hallmark movie series which is set in New York City. The movie follows Tess Harper, a crossword puzzle editor at the Sentinel newspaper noticing clues within the daily crossword puzzles. Yet she was having a difficult time with Police Detective Logan O’Connor who initially considered her to be a nuisance who was getting in the way of his murder investigation that's connected to an art theft.

Before I post about On My List, I wanted to send all my love to the people in Morocco after the devasting earthquake. Every little bit of news I hear is just so awful. I truly hope that all who have survived will be able to rebuild their lives and mourn all that have died. This is such a difficult to segue from but here On My List.

In this week's group of books is a board game centered mystery (I believe this is a cozy mystery), a supernatural romance and an unexpected celebrity romance. All three books seem interesting.

I guess I'm still in a romantic sort of mood and the first two books center around love, crushes, friendship and life. The third book is centered around a creepy house with someone trapped in it. Although, I just bought a few new books, I really want to get these three.

Romance was never on the agenda, and Lilah’s not positive Isaac likes her that way. But all signs seem to point to love. Unless she’s reading them wrong? One thing’s for sure: Lilah wanted change, and things here . . . they're certainly different than what she’s used to.

I guess I'm in a romantic sort of mood and these three books which center around love and life are On My List. From politics to writers' retreats to missed opportunities, love has an interesting way of finding you. I haven't bought any new books in a while, I really want to get these three.

A Book on my Bookshelf that I Haven't Read:
Yesterday, I was looking through one of my bookcases and found Star Wars: Scoundrels at the back of one the shelves. I forgot I had this and definitely want to read it. It's a book that centers on Han Solo, Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian, how could I have forgotten about this book. I've moved it to the front of the shelf, so I'll see it and hopefully it'll remind me to read it soon.

I'm on a supernatural kick but I don't feel like rewatching Supernatural (at least not right now), so I found two new shows that I'm interested in watching: Velma and Wolf Pack. Although both shows premiered back in January (the 12th for Velma and the 26th for Wolf Pack), I never got around to watching either one. At least there's a bright side to this, all the episodes for the first season of Velma have already aired, the season finale (10th episode) just aired last Thursday (Feb. 9th). Meanwhile Wolf Pack is still airing new episodes every Thursday.
Although, both shows have received mixed review (with a lot of them leaning toward the negative), I'm still interested in watching them. I know Velma is a different take on the world of Scooby-Doo with a focus on Velma Dinkley and it's made for adults. And Wolf Pack is about teen werewolves but with absolutely no connection to the Teen Wolf TV Series (despite both shows being created by Jeff Davis). However, it feels like a missed opportunity not to have linked the shows but I guess he wanted Wolf Pack to be a standalone series since it's based on the Wolf Pack book series by Edo Van Belkom (which I haven't read).
I'll start watching both shows either tomorrow or this weekend, most likely this weekend which would give me more time to watch more episodes.

TV:Grimm (I only have two episodes left of season 1), rewatching Project Runway (I'm on season 16), 9-1-1, rewatching Murder, She Wrote, rewatching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, rewatching Gilmore Girls (just a few episodes). I've been thinking about starting Only Murders in the Building and Andor as well.
Movies: A few movies I recently watched or rewatched are: Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, Star Wars IV: A New Hope, Superman and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
What have you been reading, listening to and watching?
Why does it feel like Monday came way too soon? I was really enjoying the weekend but I'm also looking forward to the week. What can I say, I'm an optimist. Anyway, here are a few books, shows and movies that are on my list.

I found three very interesting stories: a middle grade magical fantasy, a young adult magical mystery and a young adult contemporary story about a taking chances. I really want to read these books.
