Teaser Trailer: Percy Jackson and The Olympians TV Series

I'm not sure what to think of this teaser trailer for the upcoming Percy Jackson and The Olympians TV series. It looks good while also feeling a bit generic. And the actors for Percy and his mother, Grover and Annabeth just seem so bland and boring. I'm sure they're talented or they wouldn't have been cast. I just wish they stood out a bit more.

Anyway, I love the Percy Jackson book series by Rick Riordan and despite not being a fan favorite, I also really enjoyed watching the movies. They weren't perfect but they were fun to watch. Which is what I hope the show will be as well. A good story that's fun and interesting to watch.

Percy Jackson and The Olympians will premiere with two episodes on Wednesday, December 20th on Disney Plus.

Fandom Friday: I want an older Percy Jackson TV series!

It's Fandom Friday, what do you guys want to talk about?

For me, all I've been thinking about lately is an older Percy Jackson TV series with the actors (Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T. Jackson) from the Percy Jackson movies. I know there was an announcement a while back that there is going to be a new show on Disney+ but I want a series with the movie actors because I think it would be cool to see these characters older.

The actors may be in their 30s or close to it but just because the characters were originally written as younger doesn't mean they have to stay that way. I would love to see an older Percy, Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood. I want to know what's going on in their lives. Are they trying to living normal lives or are they still dealing with constantly being attacked by monsters and doing quests for the Gods? Are one, two or all three characters running Camp Half-Blood? Are the stakes even higher the older they get because Demigods do have very dangerous lives and most tend to die at a young age.

Well, life, death and quest aside, I also want to know if Annabeth and Percy are together or if they broke up? Is Grover still with Juniper or did they break up? And is there any chance, for both couples if they are broken up to get back together?

I feel like with older characters, a Percy Jackson show could really explore more of the complex stories and darker themes that were included in the books along with all the Greek mythology. I know that a lot of fans want a book accurate TV series with younger actors but a series with older characters could be be amazing as well especially if the show has magnificent writing and directing.

Does anyone else want an older Percy Jackson TV series with the movie actors?

Favorite Fictional Bookworm: Annabeth Chase

One of my Favorite Fictional Bookworms is Annabeth Chase from the Percy Jackson book series and Heroes of Olympus book series. I'm not sure if she appears in the Magnus Chase or Trials of Apollo book series since I haven't read them yet. Annabeth is a demigod who loves to learn and read which can be attributed to her mother being Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom, War (Battle) and Craft.

She's a lifelong learner who has a big interest in architecture, history, philosophy and Greek mythology and read a lot about each topic. Her dream is to become an architect and she received an amazing opportunity to redesign Olympus after the home of the Gods was severely damaged. She now holds the title of Architect of Olympus.

At Camp Half-Blood, all the demigod campers/students are trained in the art of battle. It's a way to make sure they are prepared to fight and survive against the many mythical monsters that will attack them out in the world. The training is also to prepare them for any demigod quests they may be selected for as well.

Aside from all her training, Annabeth is extremely intelligent but is also very logical and rational which allows her to see the big picture and remain calm during a fight or in difficult situations. When she wasn't attending classes or training, Annabeth although a student herself, taught a class on Ancient Greek to the other students. Which was a pretty big deal because that meant she was so knowledgeable about the subject that she was given a chance to teach.

I like Annabeth, she may not have active powers as many of the other demigods like her boyfriend Percy Jackson but she uses her vast intelligence and combat skills to save the day.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I can't believe I nearly forgot to post something for today. I don't know how I could have forgotten when everywhere I look there is either someone wearing green or someplace decorated in it.

A Character in Need of their own Book Series: Annabeth Chase (Percy Jackson)

Annabeth Chase needs her own book series. It's time for her to get her own quest. After reading about Percy and now Jason (from the Heroes of Olympus series), when is it going to be Annabeth chance for a quest. I think it would be cool.

Annabeth is smart, courageous and an interesting character. I hope Mr. Riordan will one day write a series from her point of view.

I think Annabeth Chase is a great character in the Percy Jackson series. As the daughter of Athena, Annabeth is skilled in the art of war and battle. She also has a love of architecture.

Annabeth is one of my favorite characters (out a series that features awesome characters). I love that she's not just a damsel-in-distress or only there as the love interest. She's smart, a bit bossy, and really cool. I can't imagine the series without her.
