To all women, which includes trans women and women with disabilities (who both unfortunately tend to be overlooked by society), we are so powerful and strong and definitely matter. Women may not always get the appreciation for all that we do but that doesn't stop us from striving and continuing to make a difference and break barriers.
So, to women worldwide, I want celebrate our strength, perseverance, achievements and empowerment. To our continued fight for education, equality, equal pay, reproductive rights, disability rights and our continued fight against racism, sexism, etc. and ending wars and genocide as we fight for a better world.
Happy International Women's Day! Below is a mini list of movies that celebrate women being awesome.
The trailer for Joy Ride makes this movie seems like it's non-stop chaos that I can't wait to see. I'm sure Audrey finding her biological mother was supposed to an important journey that she embarked on with her friends but it somehow turns into a hilarious crazy fun adventure. Joy Ride will be in theatres Friday, July 7th, there's something about zany chaotic movies that I just love. I really can't wait to see this.
