According to the descriptions, each of tonight's episodes of Happy's Place, Lopez vs Lopez and S.W.A.T. have something to do with family. From a long held grudge (Happy Place) to a possible family secret on (Lopez vs Lopez) and a family visit (S.W.A.T.). These episode are going to be very interesting. I wonder on Lopez vs Lopez what George's cousin is going reveal about Georgie's mother? I wonder if she has a health issue that factors into her locking Mayan and Quinten out of their own home. I guess, I'll see.

I know with so much happening in the world the last thing some might wantt to see is a post about TV shows. I wasn't sure if I should post What's On Tonight but at times when things are rough, a little humor can help boost your spirits. Tonight I was going to watch Happy's Place and Lopez vs Lopez.
For Happy's Place, Bobbie's daughter Gracie is visiting and I hope that won't cause any tension or problems between Gracie and Bobbie's newly discovered sister, Isabella. I believe this will be the first time that they will meet. So Bobbie will probably try to make sure everything is perfect for Gracie's visit.
As for Lopez vs Lopez, I hope the writers are not using this storyline of Rosie suing her ex Josué as a way to get them back together. Ever since he was mention early on this season and then returned in last week's episode, I just have this feeling they are trying to get them back together. It would be better if all this ended with Rosie getting closure and moving on. I guess I'll see how the episode ends and see whether they do end up getting back together or Rosie simply gets closure.

For Happy's Place, it looks like Bobbie and Gabby are trying to compete to see who should be the emcee for bar's anniversary party. And Lopez vs Lopez, it seems like there is a lot going on with George secretly hanging out with Rosie ex-fiancé Josué. Mayan taking on the job of moving a client by herself and her fiancé Quinten trying to do home repairs which I'm sure is not going to go well.

It's the mid-season finale for S.W.A.T., Happy's Place and Lopez vs Lopez. For S.W.A.T. I feel like the writers may try to pair Powell with Alfaro which wouldn't be a bad match. They surprisingly complement each other rather well. On Happy's Place, I don't recall if Isabella every said she had a boyfriend but in tonight's episode it looks like she maybe trying to end her relationship. And finally with Lopez vs Lopez, George is trying to find out what happened to his new appliance. Did someone in his family intentionally break it or was it an accident?

For S.W.A.T., I wasn't sure Nichelle would appear this season, since the actress Rochelle Aytes who plays the character will be starring in a new CBS show, Watson. But I'm glad she's still making guest appearances on S.W.A.T. because I like Nichelle and her relationship with Hondo.
Happy's Place and Lopez vs Lopez are both airing a little later and they are both holiday episodes. On Happy's Place, their health insurance may be at risk of being cancelled but it looks like they may have a way of fixing it. On Lopez vs Lopez, Mayan is trying to find the perfect present for her son while her dad, George is feuding with Santa. And Quinten is trying to help Rosie, who is feeling down.

S.W.A.T. season 8 episode 7: Home 8:00 PM EST CBS

When two students are brutally attacked, 20-Squad contends with a possible honour killing. Hondo and Nichelle have their first parenting dispute while searching for a suitable daycare.
For now my Friday line up is still on and I'm really enjoying these show. But I'm sure they will be going into hiatus soon. For S.W.A.T., I really don't understand why Gamble is being treated so awful and being labeled a cop killer for something that she didn't even do. Why is she being punished by her so-called fellow officers for something her father did 10 years ago? If they're being biased and passing false judgement on Gamble, which again had nothing to do with her, then I wonder how those officers are treating the people they the encounter while out on patrol or during emergencies especially if they think they did something wrong.
Last week's episodes of Happy's Place and Lopez vs Lopez were so funny. On Happy's Place, Bobbie and Isabella were trying to help Gabby who was having a tough time with dating. But it ended with the Happy's Place staff having a heartfelt moment letting Gabby know how much they care about her. And on Lopez vs Lopez, Mayan realized that she didn't have any friends aside from her mother so she ended up hanging out with an old friend from high school. This resulted in Mayan learning something really good about her mother.
Now, I'll just figure which shows to watch, S.W.A.T. or Happy's Place and Lopez vs Lopez.

I'm really enjoying my Friday line up, S.W.A.T. continues to be good. Both Happy's Place and Lopez vs Lopez are very funny. The never ending drama and thrills unfortuantely will be ending tonight with the final episode for this first season (or is this a miniseries) of Joan. If it's not a miniseries, then I hope Joan is renewed for a second season. Anyway, what are you watching tonight?

I was going to watch S.W.A.T. and tape Happy's Place and Lopez vs Lopez. However, Lopez vs Lopez is a Halloween episode that I don't want to wait to watch later. So, I think I'll tape S.W.A.T. and watch the two comedy shows and watch Joan afterwards.

For me it's the return of S.W.A.T. and Lopez vs Lopez, along with the series premiere of Happy's Place. And not to be forgotten is Joan.
Let's see, on S.W.A.T., Hondo added new members to the team, I wonder if there will be any issues? For Happy's Place it a new show that centers around two women finding out their sisters. On Lopez vs Lopez, Mayan and Quinten are planning their wedding and most likely Mayan parents George and Rosie are going to cause trouble. On Joan, she is having a difficult time trying to get her daughter back after putting her in the system to keep her safe. However, what should have been a resource of help for Joan has turned into a fight to try to get Kelly back.
So that's four interesting shows to watch tonight.

The team races to find a group of missing students and their bus driver, Hondo's former high school football coach. Hicks has reservations regarding Hondo's new team addition, Devin Gamble, a cop with a family background deeply entrenched in crime.
I'm a little late posting this but it's still the Fourth Day of the Month (formerly known as the 4th of July)! With the original holiday continuing to lose its meaning, enjoying the Fourth Day of the Month just feels so much more appealing.
With that said, how are you spending this Thursday or the fourth day of the month? Are you relaxing and having a fun day hanging out with your family and friends? Are you enjoying time by yourself? Are you enjoying the sales? However you are spending this day, I hope you have a good one.
Since it's the Fourth Day of the Month, I created a Geeky Holiday List to celebrate. It features the fourth episode of each season of several shows.
- I really didn't want to report that ABC cancelled Not Dead Yet which is why I put off posting it. But yeah, it was such a fun and interesting show that now ends after two seasons which is so disappointing. I'm going to miss watching Not Dead Yet, I loved the concept of journalist Nell Serrano being visited (or haunted) by the ghosts of the people she was writing obituaries for. I really wish more shows got a chance to find more viewers before being cancelled.
Continuing with more cancelled shows, NBC has cancelled Extended Family after one season. I also really enjoyed watching this show. Also cancelled are: Constellation (Apple +), HouseBroken (FOX) and The Other Black Girl (Hulu). With so many shows continuing to be cancelled, it really makes you hesitant to start new shows.
- On to more positive TV news, FOX renewed Alert: Missing Persons Unit for a third season. I've really been enjoying this show and I'm very happy to see that it will continue with a new season. And NBC has renewed Lopez vs Lopez for a third season. This is such a good and funny show, I'm also really happy it was renewed as well. And finally, The Conners was renewed by ABC for a seventh and final season.
First is the comedy Lopez vs Lopez, as much as I find Josué to be an interesting love interest. I feel like it's too soon for Rosie and him to be engaged. Although Rosie said that her and Josué have been dating for six months (secretly), however, we as the viewers have only seen him for three episodes up until this point. It just feels way too soon. Plus, he just seems too good to be true. And in tonight's first episode, it looks like George thinks Josué is hiding something and I'm interested to find out what it is. The second episode centers around the family having a therapy to sort of out some issues.
Now for the dramas and procedurals: The Cleaning Lady, Will Trent, Alert: Missing Persons Unit and The Rookie are back tonight with new episodes. Since I'll watching Lopez vs Lopez, I'll tape The Cleaning Lady and Will Trent. The Cleaning Lady is always intense but it's such a good show and I just love how quirky and annoying Will Trent is. I can't wait to watch both episodes later. As for the last two: Alert: Missing Persons Unit and The Rookie, I need to figure out which one to tape or watch. I love watching both shows but I'll figure it out.

George thinks Rosie's fiancé might be hiding an unholy secret, so he goes undercover to get him to confess and expose the truth. With wedding bells in the air, Chance puts pressure on Mayan and Quinten about why they're not married.
There is surprisingly only one show that's new tonight, Lopez vs Lopez. This show is so funny, I love how this show centers around this fun disfunctional family. And despite any issues or ridiculousness they find themselves in, they can always count on each other to help. Or to make the situation worse but turn it around to help fix whatever issue or problem they made worse.
In tonight's back-to-back episodes, the Lopez family seems to be dealing with a lot of romance issues: George possibly jealous of Rosie's new boyfriend in the first episode. While George has a new possible love interest in the second episode. Meanwhile, it looks like Chance may be a genius and his parent may not know how to deal with it. And in the second episode, Chance seems to be protective of his grandmother Rosie. I wonder if he is being protective because he think his grandmother is spending more time with her new boyfriend and maybe not as much time with him. I can't wait to watch tonight's episodes.

Lopez vs Lopez season 2 episode 8: Lopez vs Lisa 8:30 PM EST NBC
Description:
Mayan worries when George gets into a hairy situation dating a hot hairdresser. Josué gets locked into a competition with the other man in Rosie's life: her grandson, Chance.
I wonder if there are a lot of mothers and daughters who have similar styles. I know my style is different from my mom's, it's not drastic but it's still different. Which reminded me of the Lopez vs Lopez episode Lopez Vs Swap Meet (season 2 episode 3). In that episode, Mayan Lopez wasn't very honest with her mother Rosie about how she's not fond of her mother's style. Which is the opposite with Rosie, she quite often tells Mayan she doesn't like her style and is always trying to suggest ways to "upgrade" her daughter's style.
And from the video below, you can see that over the years her mother has given Mayan a lot of very interesting fashion pieces with most of them in various animal prints. I would describe Rosie's style as being a very bold, flamboyant sophistication. And her wardrobe consists of mostly dresses, pencil skirts, belts, blazers and tops in bold colors (there are surprisingly a few neutral colors), patterns and prints (animal and dark florals). And all of that paired with heels and boots (chunky, platform and stiletto). While Mayan's style is casual chic with mostly jeans, sweaters, flowy dresses, cute tops, jackets and gym shoes. So their styles are very different.
What I liked about this story is that by the end of the episode they both learned a little something about each other and Mayan also learned about being honest. Especially after Mayan's son Chance not only told his grandmother what his mother thought of her fashion style. I just love his line "we're selling the whole zoo", that's so funny. But he also told his mother that he no longer liked their "cool" secret handshake which kind of hurt Mayan's feelings. But she got a better understanding about being truthful. Which she should have been with her mother instead of trying to sell all of those unwanted fashionable gifts at a swap meet.
What are you watching tonight? There's only three shows that are new and since I want to watch something funny tonight, I'm going to watch Lopez vs Lopez. I'll tape The Cleaning Lady and later I'll watch Alert: Missing Persons Unit. I really love watching all three of these shows, which is why I hope they will all be renewed.

Today has been a very busy day and I can't wait to sit back and relax and watch TV. My line up is definitely full now especially since I included Lopez vs Lopez. I watched the first season and the first episodes of the second season and now I'm all caught up for tonight's two back-to-back episodes. This show is so funny, I'm so glad I decided to watch it.
As usual, I'll figure out which shows to tape or watch. For 8:00 PM, I don't know I feel like comedy or drama but I'll figure it out. What are you watching tonight?
