Christmas Countdown Day #5: Curious George and the not quite Christmas morning

In Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas movie, George was so excited for Christmas. However, he was waking up every morning thinking it's Christmas. I like that The Man created a little calendar for George as a way to keep track of the days until Christmas. This is a fun and adorable movie that follows as George and The Man are celebrating Christmas in the city. From getting a tree to The Man trying to figure out what George wants for Christmas there is plenty of stuff happening in this movie.

I found it interesting that Betsy wanted to created a new Christmas song for her Aunt Margaret. And unfortunately her older brother Steve in his attempt to help, kept coming up with bad songs for instance "Do Fish Know When it is Christmas or are they confused?" (it's sung in the tune of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas").

Throwback Thursday: The Curious George Movie

I feel like you are never too old to be a fan of Curious George. I can still remember reading my first Curious George book as I child, the stories were so funny with George somehow always finding himself in unexpected trouble due to his curiosity.

Even though I was no longer a kid when the Curious George movie was released on February 10, 2006, however, watching the movie made me feel like one again. Since then I've seen the movie quite a few times because it's so funny and adorable. I couldn't help thinking the movie was a fantastic way of rebooting a classic.

Throwback Thursday: Curious George Movie Posters

I love the Curious George movie (February 2006), it's so adorable and funny. In this delightful little movie, the man with the yellow hat (or Ted as he's called in the movie) went to Africa in search of a rare statue to display at the museum. However what he ended up finding was one cute little monkey.

George was so happy to have found a new friend that he stowed away on the ship going back to America. That little decision caused so much trouble for both George and the man with the yellow hat.

My love for Curious George goes back to reading the books as a kid so I was excited when it was turned it into a movie. And I loved the movie so much I had even started watching the cartoon series on PBS when it premiered in September 2006.
