It's been a while since I've rewatched Teen Wolf. I did rewatch a few episodes prior to watching the movie back when it premiered in January. And since that been ages, I really want to rewatch the entire series. I'm just not sure I want to rewatch the movie, that was not good.

As for this quote, I love this scene. While Scott, Allison and Stiles met in the library to go over their research on the Kanima, Stiles revealed his geeky side. You can tell he was so proud of being part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures. That is until Allison's reaction, she only gave online gaming as a random excuse to Lydia Martin as a way to explain why she needed her to translate the bestiary. However, from her reaction, Stiles realized that online gaming doesn't seem that cool to her which caused his smile to falter. To me, it doesn't matter what someone thinks of your hobby, as long as you like it, who cares.

Malia Tate and Scott McCall still should've been together in Teen Wolf: The Movie

I know I'm not the only one who liked Alpha werewolf Scott McCall and were-coyote Malia Tate together but it just feels like it. The Teen Wolf movie should have kept them together instead of having Scott rehash a romance with his once dead now revived ex-girlfriend and hunter Allison Argent. I knew as soon as it was announced that actress Crystal Reed was returning for the movie and reprising her character Allison that Malia would be pushed aside as Scott's girlfriend. Scott and Allison's romance was done and over with before she even died back in the third season. During the time she died, Allison was dating werewolf Isaac Lahey and Scott was starting to get to know kitsune Kira Yukimura. Both Scott and Allison had moved on, there was no point on centering a movie around bring her back to life just to put them back together again.

Allison being back and the return of the Nogitsune were not an interesting plot points and the story instead should have been a continuation from the Teen Wolf series finale that had hunters worldwide out there still targeting supernatural beings. However, that's a discussion for another post. I have way too many thoughts about Teen Wolf: The Movie some good and some bad, but back to Malia who was one of the good things about the movie. She's a fun, wild and unexpected character and her and Scott had really good chemistry and their relationship should have continued. Although, they were broken up in the movie, there was a scene where they reunited in the woods (before they went to resurrect Allison) which showed there was a little awkwardness between Malia and Scott. What I liked is that despite that, they were still very much worked well together throughout the movie. I also liked that Scott seemed concerned about Malia after Allison (who didn't quite have all her memories) attacked her at the hospital.

I always thought Malia and Scott were so much more interesting and real than what Scott had with Allison which always felt like obsessive infatuation coupled with insta love. And in the movie, it made absolutely no sense to put Malia together with Deputy and Hellhound Jordan Parrish. That truly felt like the writer Jeff Davis had no idea what to do with Malia and Jordan so he just put them together in a sort of friends with benefits situation.

Anyway, just posting my thoughts about Malia and Scott's relationship and her as a character. It's still disappointing that the writer got rid of their relationship for Teen Wolf: The Move just to continue the Scott and Allison relationship that didn't need to be continued.

Why is Teen Wolf's Scott McCall hated by fans for his mistakes?

I've been thinking of rewatching Teen Wolf, it's one of my favorite shows. It may not have been perfect nor had a big budget but the show had an interesting supernatural story to tell. Something, I noticed within this fandom is that Scott McCall, the titular teen wolf, is unfairly hated. Yes, he's made some bad mistakes and decisions throughout the series but so have all the other heroic characters.

I don't know why his mistakes are held against him, while many fans seem to gloss over the other characters' mistakes. Scott was a teenager when he was bitten by a werewolf and had quickly found himself in the supernatural world. Since this new experience as a werewolf (as well as the supernatural) didn't include an instruction manual, Scott and his friends/pack mates were sort of making it up as they went along. They might have gotten some help every now and then but ultimately it was up to them to figure out what to do and lot of times included making bad decisions and a lot of mistakes.

I know as the leader of his small yet ever growing pack, Scott was supposed to know what to do but truly none of them knew what they were doing. Which is why I don't understand why so many fans put so much fault on Scott when he was just as clueless as the rest of his friends in dealing with the supernatural.

Most Memorable Scene: Scott McCall and Jackson Whittemore: "Where are you getting your juice?"

In Teen Wolf's season 1 first episode Wolf Moon, Scott McCall was so clueless, he had absolutely no idea what Jackson Whittemore was talking about in regards to "juice". I always think about how funny this scene is because Scott's confusing response was "my mom does all the grocery shopping". Honestly, I would be just as clueless too if someone asked me "where are you getting your juice?". The first thing I would think of to say is the grocery store.

At the time, Scott had no idea he was turning into a werewolf and he was benefiting from all his newly enhanced abilities which Jackson figured it was do to steroids or some other sort of enhancement. Jackson trying to find out Scott's secret would be a recurring thing for him throughout the season.

I love Teen Wolf, this is a fantastic supernatural show filled with ridiculous humor paired with drama, horror and plenty of camp. If you haven't watched this series, please do.

Why I'm happy Teen Wolf ended before the Main Characters went to College

I still love watching Teen Wolf but I am happy the series ended before Scott McCall, Lydia Martin and Stiles Stilinski attended college. Scott was accepted to UC Davis (University of California, Davis) with plans to become a veterinarian, while Lydia was accepted to MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) most likely to study math and science and Stiles was accepted to George Washington University with a goal of studying law enforcement. As for Malia Tate, I found it very realistic that the show didn't have her getting accepted or planning to go to college, that would not have been the right choice for her character especially since she was more interested in traveling.

I'm sure at some point, we have all done something stupid that a friend has suggested. But going into the woods at night to look for half of a dead body should not be one of the suggestions you go along with. Yet that's exactly what Scott McCall did when he decided to listen to his best friend Stiles Stilinski. And no surprise something bad happened with Scott getting bite by a werewolf.

Those two were complete idiots.

As an Alpha Werewolf, Why was Scott McCall so Weak?

I know Teen Wolf is officially over but I have a question that was never answered. Why was it when Scott McCall became a True Alpha werewolf, he never gained the Alpha strength? Aside from the fact that Scott's eyes turned red there was nothing that really changed once he became an Alpha.

Maybe being a True Alpha doesn't really bring any significant change because by the end of the series he was still relatively at the strength level he was in the first season. He certainly wasn't as strong as Derek Hale, Peter Hale or any of the other Alphas shown throughout the series. Even once Derek and Peter lost their Alpha status they were still stronger than he was. I don't know if it's because they were older born werewolves and he was a teenage bitten werewolf either way he never gained the strength. But that doesn't explain why Liam Dunbar (who was Scott's Beta and also a teenage bitten werewolf) was stronger than him. I do wonder if Liam's strength may have had something to do with his anger issues (he was diagnosed with having Intermittent Explosive Disorder).

Regardless, why didn't Scott get the power boost that comes with being an Alpha. The only time an increase in his strength was really shown was in the 4th season finale episode "Smoke and Mirrors" when he fought against Peter. But his extra strength felt like a residual from when he was temporarily turned into a Berserker.

At the end of the first half of season 5 (5A), I never understood why Scott was shown not really defending himself against Liam who had been manipulated by Theo Raeken into killing Scott. Even though Scott had been temporarily weakened by Theo (who had secretly triggered Scott's asthma into returning with a wolfsbane infused inhaler), as the Alpha, Scott still should have been able to easily put an end to the fight. Yet the writers chose to show a Scott who pretty much stood there and let Liam nearly claw him to death. Thankfully, Mason Hewitt was able to stop Liam before he killed Scott but he was unable to stop Theo who decided to finish what Liam had started.

After being revived by his mother, Scott's wounds were slow to heal which didn't make any sense. He should have immediately begun to heal, it wasn't like in season 3 (3A) when he had still been a Beta werewolf on the cusp of becoming an Alpha. He had fully embraced being an Alpha and should not have had the extreme difficulties he dealt with at the end of 5A.

Now that the show has ended, I guess I will never get the answer to my question. It's too bad because it really stands out that Scott's powers especially his strength never increased and it would have been interesting to know why. Regardless of the issue of his Alpha powers, Scott was an effective leader and if the series had continued for another season or two I do believe he would have become even better.

Characters Reading: Scott McCall (Teen Wolf)

For some reason in the Teen Wolf fandom, there is this perception among some fans that Scott McCall wasn't very smart. He might not have been as smart as perhaps Lydia Martin (who was a genius) but he wasn't a dummy either. His grades were not the best for his sophomore year but what I like is that during the summer before his junior year he picked up some new study skills and a new found love of reading. Throughout the series his grades continued to improve and by his senior year (season 5) he was even taking AP Biology.

The start of his new academic progress can be seen in the first episode of season 3 ("Tattoo") where Scott was shown doing one-arm pull-ups while reading the classic "The Call of the Wild" by Jack London. This is a book that I haven't read, perhaps I'll add it to my wishlist. In that episode, they also made a point of showing a stack of additional classics that he read over the summer. I found it interesting that he was even using a "Word of the Day" online site to help increase his vocabulary. You could tell that this was someone who had discovered they have a love of learning and was reveling in it.

Scott may have started out a little clueless and having difficulties in his classes but I like that he made an effort to improve himself.

I think a scene like this between Kira and Scott might have happened later on in Teen Wolf perhaps at another black light party. But it would not have happened at the party in the episode Illuminated (season 3 ep 16) because everything was still so fairly new between them.

I really liked these two together, they were so cute and adorable.

Why I Think Teen Wolf's Scott McCall and Malia Tate Are Great Together

When the second half of the sixth season of Teen Wolf began, I was surprised to find myself interested in seeing if Alpha werewolf Scott McCall and werecoyote Malia Tate were going to be in a relationship.

Despite there being only 10 episodes left of the series, I was glad that the show slowly built up a romantic connection between Scott and Malia. However, before I describe why I like these two being together, I think their past relationships need to be addressed because you do learn something from being in them.

Teen Wolf 6B Sneak Peek Lacrosse Scene

Back when MTV first released the trailer for 6B I had wondered where Coach Finstock was, it's good to see him back. This is an interesting scene and I'm really surprised to see Scott as the Assistant Coach. Especially since it's hard to imagine anyone wanting to work with Finstock that man is way too intense.
