Most Memorable Scene: Owen interviewing firefighters for the 126

I really like this scene from the first season pilot. It shows newly hired Fire Captain Owen Strand and his son Tyler "T.K." interviewing firefighters (Paul Strickland, Marjan Marwani and Mateo Chavez) for the 126. I love that from the begining you got to see who they were.

Paul the inquistive detective, Marjan the daredevil and Mateo the endearing optimist. They each brought something special to the team including Judson "Judd" Ryder who at this point wasn't quite ready to return to active duty. Especially after being the sole survivor after the original 126 firefighters died in a raging fire.

Most Memorable Scene: Marjan Marwani's speech at the grocery store (9-1-1: Lone Star)

Happy 9-1-1: Lone Star Tuesday!

I do wonder when the premiere date for the fifth season of 9-1-1: Lone Star will be announced. So far the only thing that's been announced is that the show will air sometime in fall 2024. Well, until then I'll try to post more including some of my favorite or Most Memorable Scenes.

I love this scene of Marjan Marwani and Paul Strickland in the episode Negative Space (season 3 episode 12). Marjan was rightfully angry that crooked, corrupt murderous former Deputy Roy Griffin wasn't in prison. Instead he's living his life and working as if he wasn't a horrible person. Edit because I forgot to mention that Roy not only tried to kill Marjan after she witnessed him murdering someone. He also tried to kill Owen Strand and stranded migrant workers during the freak winter storm that had hit Texas (season 3 episodes 1-4). So, yes, he should be in prison.

So, Marjan took a bold approach and announced to everyone in the grocery store who Roy Griffin really was. This scene is funny while also feeling very satisfying and justifiable.

Happy 9-1-1: Lone Star Tuesday!

I really like this artwork, it's based on the bar scene from the first season pilot episode. And the quote is from the fourth season 16th episode A House Divided.

Quote: Nancy Gillian, Fundraiser Donor Guy and Mateo Chavez (9-1-1: Lone Star)

It's 9-1-1: Lone Star Tuesday. And I'm still surprised how Nancy Gillian and Mateo Chavez's relationship had totally grown on me. I went from feeling like "why are they together?" to they are quickly becoming one of my favorite couples. I just find them to be quirky, weird and adorable.

For the scene below, I wonder how much the Fundraiser Donor Guy was going to donate to the Stand Up to Cancer charity because Mateo's comment comparing the wine to reading books by Dostoyevsky really sold the guy into wanting to make a donation.

Nancy: Fun fact, this was actually donated by the oldest winery in the Hill Country.

Fundraiser Donor Guy: The Hill Country? But it's so nuanced, so mature.

Mateo: Familiar, yet unexpected. It's kinda like reading Dostoyevsky in the original Russian.

Fundraiser Donor Guy: Yes, exactly that. What did you say your name was?

Mateo: Mateo

Fundraiser Donor Guy: Mateo. Your palate is inspired. I'll be right back. My wife has my checkbook.

Nancy: Babe? You read Dostoyevsky? I love Dostoyevsky. How have we not discussed this?

Mateo: Oh, because I don't. I heard Cap say that last week while he was sipping Moscato. I thought it sounded good.

Nancy: Oh.

9-1-1: Lone Star thoughts on Carlos and Gabriel Reyes in the 4th season finale

It's still 9-1-1: Lone Star Tuesday and I thought the final two episodes (#17 Best of Men and #18 In Sickness and in Health) of the fourth season were so heartbreakingly good. The writing was so emotional and impactful, I don't know how many times I found myself crying. For one thing, I was not expecting Carlos Reyes' father Gabriel to die. Unfortunately, he was murdered and by the end of the finale the killer was still never identified or arrested. I feel like since they made a point not to show the killer's face, that this has to mean something. I do hope that the investigation into Gabriel's murder will continue in the fifth season.

As expected, it truly devastated the Reyes family. Carlos had become so unhinged that he nearly made a truly awful mistake that would have cost someone their life and him his freedom. One good thing in regard to Gabriel's death is that I'm glad that Carlos and his father had a chance to talk after they had a disagreement following Carlos not wanting to accept a job offer with the Texas Rangers. If it wasn't for Carlos' fiancé and soon to be husband T.K. Strand meddling and sort of tricking Carlos by having Carlos' mother Andrea meet him for lunch at their favorite food truck. Because Andrea helped Carlos see his father in a different light and it gave him just the right push to go talk with his father.

And if it wasn't for that little bit of meddling from both TK and Andrea, Carlos probably wouldn't have had the chance to tell his father how much he was proud of him and that he was proud to be his son. He wouldn't have got to find out a few more little things about his father that he didn't know such as his father enjoyed doing puzzles. As well as he wouldn't have been able to tell his father that he was the best man he knows and ask him to be his best man for his wedding. It's just so sad that Gabriel who so excited to be in the wedding never got a chance to be there.

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: Donors

It's 9-1-1: Lone Star Tuesday! This new episode has some good storylines with Grace Ryder and Carlos Reyes trying to stop a organ trafficking ring. And it looks like Grace is going to find herself in danger. Also, Owen and T.K. Strand having family visit and it looks there may be some sort of health issue that gets revealed. I can't wait to watch tonight's episode.

Not to be forgotten, congratuations to 9-1-1: Lone Star being renewed for a fifth season. I really like 9-1-1: Lone Star and although both 9-1-1 shows won't be on the same network anymore, I'm still going to be tuning into Lone Star on Tuesday.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 15: Donors                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: Tongues Out

It's a new episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star and from the trailer it looks like Owen Strand's girlfriend Kendra murdered her husband. But I'm sure since Paul Strickland is helping Owen solve the mystery, they'll probably find some random person that's behind it. As for the second story, I was wondering how Tommy Vega's relationship with Pastor Trevor was going since they haven't shown him in a while. I guess their relationship is going to be the gossip that going around the church. I wonder if they'll break up or simply ignore the the gossipers and keep dating. I guess I'll see in a few minutes.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 14: Tongues Out                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Description:

Owen enlists Paul's help in proving Kendra's innocence. Tommy deals with church gossipers over her relationship with Pastor Trevor.

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: Open

It's almost time for a new episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star and it looks like Owen Strands new girlfriend Kendra has way too many secrets including a husband. To me it looks like the husband was murdered and made to look like he died in that cryo tank. I wonder if Kendra killed him or someone else. I wouldn't be surprised if she also seeing someone besides Owen.

As for the second story description, it's not shown in the trailer but Grace Ryder's father is in the hospital. And I wonder he had a heart attack while she was confronting him about cheating. I also wonder if their conversation was from a new cheating incident or were they just having a talk that ended up triggering a heart attack. However he ended up in the hospital, it will be interesting to see if he makes it.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 13: Open                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Description:

Owen is shocked by a secret Kendra has been keeping from him. Grace confronts her father about his past infidelity.

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: Swipe Left

I am so posting this late but here is the trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star. It's interesting that this fourth season seems to be about love for each of the characters. And tonight's episode has Marjan Marwani possibly finding love. Well, I'm going to tuning in.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 12: Swipe Left                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Description:

The 126 helps Marjan enter the dating world through a series of chaperoned dates. Owen and the team are called to the rescue when a pregnant woman takes her anger out at a motel where she suspects her husband is cheating on her.

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: Double Trouble

Last week's 9-1-1: Lone Star episode Sellouts was fun with the 126 Paramedics (Captain Tommy Vega, Nancy Gillian and TK Strand) having to deal with Paragon Medics and former 126 Paramedic Pearce Risher. However, it was disappointing that the city of Austin would rather partner with a dishonest company such as Paragon Medics and then have them overseeing the medical emergencies instead of relying on the city's trained paramedics. That was such a down grade for the health industry but I'm glad in the end it looks like that partnership may not continue especially if Pearce goes through with his lawsuit.

As for the rest of the episode, I wasn't that interested in Owen Strand's storyline because it made no sense that the rich lady (I can't remember her name) that he met at the cancer charity event and kept hooking up with didn't realize how it looked when she kept giving Owen money with no explantion given. How was he supposed to know that money (two separate payments which added up to $140,000) was for the cancer charity and the animal charity instead of making it seem as it she was paying him for sex? Now that she's Owen's new love interest, I hope she doesn't take up too much screen time going forward. Total side note, I'm glad the Showrunner and writers decided to cut that Mateo Chavez and Nancy scene from the ninth episode Road Kill that possibly implied that Mateo may have feelings for Marjan Marwani. Because I found Nancy and Mateo to be rather adorable in Sellouts, their relationship has truly grown on me.

Tonight's episode Double Trouble, looks like it's going to be good. I love that the 126 Paramedics have been getting more storylines. This arrow through the neck emergency definitely seems interesting and I'm hoping the it was an accident and not those boys targeting that lady. I'm happy that Mateo is finally getting a storyline this season, I can't believe it's taken this long. I wonder if his cousin Marvin (see 9-1-1 season 2 episode 2: 7.1) will get himself in trouble and Mateo will do something drastic to help get him out of it. Anyway, I can't wait to see tonight's episode.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 11: Double Trouble                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Description:

The 126 races to rescue a woman with an arrow shot into her head. Judd is doubly surprised by news Wyatt shares and Mateo helps a family member in need and comes to regret it.

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: Sellouts

Last week's 9-1-1: Lone Star episode Road Kill was amazing with Marjan Marwani in a fight for her life trying to get away from a killer. That was an interesting twist with the little girl at the end. I know both 9-1-1 shows don't usually focus too much time on the characters' recovery process for injuries (I'm surprised Buck is getting so much time on 9-1-1). However, since Marjan nearly died and lost a lot of blood, I wonder if she'll be back to work on tonight's episode?

And speaking of tonight's episode, I'm really looking forward to seeing the 126 Paramedic Team (Tommy Vega, Nancy Gillian and TK Strand) having to deal with Paragon Medics. Back at the beginning of the third season, Tommy, Nancy and TK worked at Paragon Medics after the 126 fire station was burned down and officially (yet thankfully temporarily) closed. And if I'm remembering correctly Paragon Medics wanted the Paramedics to use more pharmaceutical drugs regardless if they were needed in emergencies. Which wasn't something Tommy or her team didn't do despite the company's manager (I believe) strongly suggested they do. Anyway, once the 126 fire station was rebuilt and re-opened, 126 Paramedics no longer had to work for Paragon Medics.

As for the second part of the tonight's description, I'm not looking forward to yet another Owen Strand love interest who always seem to end up sucking up more screen time than they deserve. Because his last girlfriend Catherine got a lot screen time during the third season which could have gone to some of the main characters who rarely get enough screen time. Hopefully this new lady will either only be in tonight's episode or she will just get the bare minimum of time throughout the fourth season if she's there for more than one episode. Anyway, I can't wait to see tonight's episode.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 10: Sellouts                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Description:

Tommy faces off against her former employer, Paragon Medics, as they deal with emergencies. While Owen hits it off with a beautiful woman he meets at a fundraiser.

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: Road Kill

Quick post because this will be on in a few minuts. Tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star looks like it's going to be intense with Marjan Marwani trying to get away from the abusive boyfriend of a young woman she helped in last week's episode. Marjan help get him arrested and now he's targeting her. This is going to be a good episode and I have to know how this will end?

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 9: Road Kill                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Description:

On her way back to Austin, Marjan is in for the fight of her life when she is targeted by a killer.

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: Control Freak

I know I keep saying this but I'm really enjoying this fourth season of 9-1-1: Lone Star (I also enjoy last night's episode of 9-1-1 more on that in another post). Tonight's episode Control Freak has the return of Marjan Marwani and it looks like she's finds herself trying to help a possible traveler in trouble. As for the emergency, I'm interested to see the car accident because how did the car get up there. I also can't wait to see the wedding planning because I'm sure Owen Strand is going to have way too many ideas and probably take over the wedding planning entirely.

Anyway, can't wait to see tonight's episode.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 8: Control Freak                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Description:

The 126 must rescue a father and son involved in drivers ed lesson gone haywire. A self-help guru who has lost his self-control. Owen helps plan T.K. and Carlos' wedding. Marjan is suspicious when she meets a couple on her road trip.

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: Tommy Dearest

Aside from the FBI/biker gang/terriorist plot that was stretched for six episodes, I'm really enjoying this fourth season of 9-1-1: Lone Star. I feel like this show needs more attention because it's really good and I can't wait to see tonight's episode which is on now.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 7: Tommy Dearest                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Description:

The 126 help a husband whose wife "dies" when she is not upside-down. Grace takes a 9-1-1 call from a pizza delivery driver who is in for the shock of his life. While, Tommy is worried Trevor's young daughter is a bad seed.

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: This Is Not a Drill

I really enjoyed last week's episode Human Resources and I'm hoping that Marjan Marwani's journey won't keep her away from the 126 for long and that she will be able to get her job back. But I like that Marjan stood by her principles and wouldn't let that couple who were obviously scamming use her and her followers to get money. I also enjoyed seeing Grace Ryder who as a 9-1-1 dispatcher being on the other side of an emergency when she helped a little boy's mother. I like that Grace was nervous and out of her element and calling her friend Paramedic Captain Tommy Vega for help. Grace trusted her instincts that something was wrong and she ended up saving someone's life.

As for tonight's episode, This Is Not a Drill, despite what Owen Strand said in the trailer, I do hope this is the end of this FBI/biker gang/terrorist storyline. What started out as an interesting plot has really started to drag and slow the pacing of the story down. I really hope this ends with tonight's episode and if it doesn't then it will be wrapped up by the 7th episode.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 6: This Is Not a Drill                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Description:

Owen reveals to the 126 he has been working with the FBI to help bring down a domestic terrorist group with his motorcycle gang. Then the 126 respond to a bomb threat at the State Capitol and put a stop to the terrorist deadly plans.

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: Human Resources

This probably the latest I've ever posted for 9-1-1 Tuesday but I can't wait to see tonight's episode. Since I don't have enough time to write out my thoughts for last week's episode Abandoned (which was a really good episode) I'll post something for it another time. As for tonight's episode, I wonder if Marjan Marwani will really quit? And if she does, I wonder how many episodes will there be before she returns? Because I can't see her quiting for good. And for Grace Ryder, I'm sure she will help the little boy how keeps calling 9-1-1 but I do wonder what his emergency will be.

I'll make sure to post early for next Tuesday.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 5: Human Resources                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Description:

Owen helps defend Marjan when a rescue complaint forces her to make a challenging ethical decision. Grace befriends a young boy who becomes a frequent 9-1-1 caller, but when she discovers he may be in some real danger she must step in.

Trailer for tonight's episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star: Abandoned

It's a new episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star on tonight and it looks like Carlos Reyes is in for a terrible experience after the end of last week's episode. I'm glad he believed Iris Blake's story of being abducted but he shouldn't have gone back to the house they found her in alone. It will be interesting to see if he'll figure out a way to rescue himself or if someone will come to his rescue.

I wonder how long the showrunner and writers are going to drag out the Owen Strand and the biker gang storyline. Yes, it's interesting but not that interesting that the storyline needs this many episodes. I like that Owen is a trusting person but he keeps trusting the wrong people and they end up double crossing him. I guess as this storyline continues to progress to see if Ty O'Brien truly double crossed Owen or if he was playing some kind of long game with investigating the biker gang.

What irritants me about this story is that the FBI Agents decided to use Owen to investigate this biker gang in the first place. He has no idea what he's doing, evident by what happened at the end of the last episode. Anyway, I really just hope this storyline will end soon. Because I want to see more of the other characters who so far haven't gotten a lot of screen time this season: Paul Strickland, Marjan Marwani, Grace and Judd Ryder, Mateo Chavez and Nancy Gillian. I'm really looking forward to seeing tonight's episode.

9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 episode 4: Abandoned                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 FOX

Description:

As Owen wears an FBI wire for his meeting with O'Brien, The Honor Dogs crash the meet-up and let them know there's an infiltrator in their midst. A frantic TK desperately searches for a missing Carlos, who is being held captive.
