Most Memorable Scene: Shadowhunters Opening Scene

I don't know, I just love the opening scene in the Shadowhunters season 1 first episode The Mortal Cup. It's just so dramatic with Alexander "Alec" Lightwood, his sister Isabelle "Izzy" Lightwood and their brother Jace Wayland tracking a shapeshifter (or possible demon, it's been a while since I've watched the show). Anyway, they didn't have to do half of the things they did to keep eye on the shapeshifter. Which includes the coordinated backward flips down to the ground.

Yes, I just love it. It's all so over the top especially when they are basically invisible to humans due to the use of one of their magical tattoos (or runes). Which is why it was all surprising and dramatic that Clary Fray was able to see Jace after he bumped into her. But back to them being invisible, none of the things they did were necessary especially since no one except for the shapeshifter (who wasn't really paying attention) to notice them. Which is why all of this during the opening scene just makes this so memorable.

Most Memorable Scene: Magnus Bane Interrupts Alec Lightwood and Lydia Branwell's Wedding (Shadowhunters)

This wedding scene from Shadowhunters first season 12th episode Malec remains one of the best. There is nothing from the show that can beat this scene. Although Alexander "Alec" Lightwood and Lydia Branwell were only getting married for convenience/political/business reasons it was still a beautiful wedding nonetheless.

Anyway, what makes this a most memorable scene is all the drama and suspense when Magnus Bane showed up at the absolute last minute. This scene was perfectly played out as you held your breath waiting for Alec's response to Magnus showing up. Will Alec go through with the wedding or will he follow his heart? And the response couldn't be more spectacular.

What did you think of the series finale of Shadowhunters? I thought it was so good, I'm still processing it and I'm also going to have to watch it again to see if there was anything I might have missed and so I can write something about it.

I loved Magnus and Alec's wedding, it was so perfect and romantic and even though I'm not a big fan of Clary and Jace's relationship (I think they lack chemistry), it was an interesting ending for them with a nod to how they first met. So overall, I thought it was a wonderful ending to one of my favorite shows.

With the good news that Lucifer was saved from cancellation by Netflix hopefully some other network will save Shadowhunters as well. Three season really is not enough time given to this show there are still too many stories left to tell.

Shadowhunters: Malec Photo Booth Pictures: #1

I simply adore Shadowhunters' Magnus Bane (Harry Shum, Jr.) and Alec Lightwood (Matthew Daddario). They are not only two of my favorite characters but also one of my favorite couples. These Freeform photo booth pictures are so adorable but since there are so many of them (there are 12 in total) I posted the first six today and will post the rest of the pictures tomorrow.

I just love when actors do fun and ridiculous stuff like this for the fans.

Shadowhunters Trailer and Sneak Peeks for S2 E15: "A Problem of Memory"

It's Shadowhunters Monday and that means a new trailer and sneak peeks. After the last episode, Simon doesn't seem to be able to deal with what happened with Clary and Jace. And it looks like he might be drowning his sorrows in blood.

From the sneak peak it looks Magnus' past is finally going to be shown and hopefully discussed between him and Alec. I really want to know what Sebastian is up to, he is such a creep. I can't wait to see this episode.

Shadowhunters Trailer and Two Sneak Peeks for S2 Ep13: "Those of Demon Blood"

I know I said this last week but this episode looks really good. From the sneak peek it looks like Jace is now in charge of the New York Institute instead of Alec. That sucks because Jace is far too unqualified and reckless for the job and I bet he goes on a power trip too.

I can't wait to see the fight scene between Maia and Jace because how can he expect the werewolves to accept getting tracking chips implanted in them. And I'm sure there is no way Magnus is going to hand over one lock of hair to the Shadowhunters, who knows what they would do with it. I can't believe Jace would lock up Simon what could that nerd have possibly done to warrant that. I wonder if jealousy is clouding Jace's judgment towards Simon for dating Clary.

Shadowhunters are not better than the Downworlders just because they have angel blood. And it seems to be that Shadowhunters are the ones who cause a lot of the problems with their arrogance, prejudices, etc. which is unfortunately aimed at the Downworlders. I have to see how this episode will end, hopefully with Jace being fired with Alec getting the job. But we'll see.

Shadowhunters S2 E212 Extended Trailer: "You Are Not Your Own"

Who's watching Shadowhunters tonight? I can't wait to see this episode because poor Magnus, he's trying to get everyone to believe that he's really not Valentine. And unless Harry Shum, Jr. is leaving the show then I'm sure someone will stop or delay the execution so they can find out the truth.

I hope that Alec will at least notice if "Magnus" is acting strange or appears different and also not to trust Jace's bad advice. It looks like it will be a good episode.

Pride Month: Day #1: Favorite Couple: Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood

With June being Pride Month, I thought it would be a great way to show my continued support for the LGBTQ+ community with a Pride Month challenge. I will post something about my favorite characters, some artwork, favorite couples or couples that should have been, etc.. And to kick off the challenge, I decided to start with two of my new favorite characters from the Shadowhunters TV series, Magnus Bane and Alexander "Alec" Lightwood and their relationship.

Magnus and Alec have a natural and physical chemistry that resonates on screen and that's due in part to actors Harry Shum, Jr. and Matthew Daddario who are fantastic in their roles. Magnus is a proud, fun loving bisexual and an extremely powerful centuries old warlock while Alec is a very serious minded 20-something (although initially closeted) gay Shadowhunter. It took Alec some time to finally become comfortable with who he was.

What I hope will happen on Shadowhunters 2B?

I'm sure as fans, we are going to be in for a quite a few surprises for the second half of Shadowhunters season two. And from doing a quick search, I see that fans have been guessing as to what will happen on the show and with the characters. And that got me thinking about what I would like to see happen.

For the show, I hope that at some point Idris will be shown. The Shadowhunters' home world has been mention quite a few times on the show and I would love to see it. I wish the werewolves and vampires were more ferocious to give the Shadowhunters more of a fight and I want to see more demons. Now as for some of the characters here's what I hope to see for them:


Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara)

I hope Clary will be less annoying and less idiotic for the rest of the season. She has the potential to be a great character but the way she's been shown for season 1 and the first half of season 2 is really off putting. She has a tendency to be selfish, extremely naïve but at the same time try to take control of situations she is clearly not ready for. I want Clary to continue with her art because her interest in that should not be sidelined now that she's a Shadowhunter.
