Most Memorable Scene: Black Panther End Credit
As we close out this Black History Month, I couldn't help thinking about one of my favorite movies, Black Panther. I absolutely love this movie. I don't know how many times I've seen it both in the theatre and at home watching the DVD/Blu-ray. I just had to post this end credits, I love the creative use of symbols, character designs, colors and the song "All The Stars" by Kendrick Lamar and SZA.

Art of the Day: Okoye, Black Panther and Nakia

Happy belated sixth year anniversary to the Black Panther movie!
This past Friday, February 16th marked the sixth year anniversary of such an amazing movie. Newly crowned King T'Challa didn't really have a chance to get used to the title before having to deal with a rising threat to Wakanda by his cousin Erik Killmonger. When the betrayal and downfall actually happens, you can't help but experience it. Which made T'Challa return so special. As well as Black Panther, Nakia, Shuri and the Dora Milaje's triumphant win in the battle against Erik Kilmonger's Black Panther and the Wakanda deserters. I haven't rewatched this movie in a while, maybe I'll watch it this weekend.

It's Black Panther's Three Year Anniversary!
It's been three years since the Black Panther movie was released in theatres February 16, 2018. It's still one of my favorite movies. And on this anniversary, I want to not only celebrate the groundbreaking movie but the late actor Chadwick Boseman for his unbelievable performance as King T'Challa.
I may not have enough time today to rewatch Black Panther but I plan to watch it sometime this week. Happy Anniversary, Black Panther!

Video: All The Stars by Kendrick Lamar and SZA
I've had this song All The Stars by Kendrick Lamar and SZA in my head for the last few days. It's from the Black Panther movie soundtrack and the song is probably going to be stuck in my head for a while after also rewatching the movie last night. Despite having the Blu-ray, I still sat in front of the TV and watched it on ABC last night followed by the Special on Chadwick Boseman.
Anyway, I just felt like posting the video.

Fashion Meets Comics & Fandom: 3 Summer Looks (Nakia, Pepper Potts and Rory Gilmore)
Summer is about fun, sun and relaxation and not to mention cute summer clothes. I was inspired by Nakia, Pepper Potts and Rory Gilmore to create three summer looks. What I love about each of the characters' outfits is that they are effortlessly stylish from a colorfully printed jumper to a modern hippie look each outfit gives you that feel of summer.
Nakia (Black Panther)
Even while trying to convince King T'Challa that Wakanda could do more to help the world, Nakia looked amazing in this African print green one shoulder jumper. I love this, the jumper has a casual yet sophisticated feel that could easily go from day to night.

DVD Tuesday: Black Panther and The Honor List
What's everyone picking up for DVD Tuesday? Well my two picks are Black Panther and The Honor List.
I don't believe Marvel and Disney thought Black Panther would do so spectacular at the box office. They probably figured it would do as well as any other superhero/comic book movie. But it totally surpassed expectations.
It's easy to see that comic book fans and the general movie audiences were looking for something different than the average comic book/superhero movie. And this movie delivered that. And speaking of something different, I really want to see The Honor List. It's a direct to video movie and the trailer seems interesting with three friends trying to complete a bucket list following the death of their friend. It looks like it will be a interesting drama with maybe a little bit of humor.
Black Panther
Description:
After the death of his father, T'Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T'Challa's mettle as king -- and as Black Panther -- gets tested when he's drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people.
The Honor List
Director: Elissa Down
Starring: Meghan Rienks, Karrueche Tran, Sasha Pieterse, Arden Cho, Lauren Weedman, Ethan Peck and more
Description:
At the start of high school, Piper, Sophie, Isabella, and Honor think they will be best friends forever, so they sink a time capsule in the lake with a list of things they want to do before graduation. But a big falling-out causes them to grow in different directions regarding their hobbies, cliques, and social status, to the point where it’s like their 14 years of friendship never happened.
By senior year, Piper (Meghan Rienks) has turned into the class clown/party girl. Sophie (Karrueche Tran) pledges to stay a virgin until she’s married, and has created a purity app. Isabella (Sasha Pieterse) is the feminist femme fatale who’s the editor of a zine, and Honor (Arden Cho) is the pride and joy of the community. Honor’s dream of being a professional ballerina is taking off, but when tragedy strikes, the former BFFs must reunite and do all the things on the bucket list they made in eighth grade. From setting free the school mascot (Mo the goat) to getting back at some bitchy cheerleaders by disrupting halftime, the list forces them to face up to the real reasons for their falling-out as they navigate body shaming, sex, and the party culture in high school.
Through laughter, tears, and looking life and death right in the eye, they rediscover their friendship and learn to live life to the fullest at every moment, even if it means saying good-bye forever to someone they love.

Fashion Meets Comics: A Black Panther, Nakia and Okoye T-Shirt
As a female comic book fan, it's so hard to find t-shirts because most are in men's or boys sizes. Prior to geek culture becoming mainstream, there were not as many t-shirts in women's, girls or teen girls sizes available. I'm glad things having been changing because I love wearing shirts of my favorite characters.
I like this shirt, it has the Black Panther, Nakia and Okoye on it. I'm really thinking about getting it because it's pretty cool.
