Trailer: Abbott Elementary's Sixth Season Teaser Trailer

Okay, how am I just now seeing this Abbott Elementary sixth season animated teaser trailer. This is so cute and funny. I love this show and can't for it to return which will be on Wednesday, October 7th at 8:30 PM EST on ABC. I have no idea what will happen for these characters but two thing I hope will happen are:

1) That there are no more break up between Janine Teagues and Gregory Eddie. Just let their relationship develop more in the sixth season plus there are other ways to add a bit of tension to relationships without having them break up.

2) I hope that they find some funding for Abbott Elementary. Although this is a comedy, it's so disappointing that real public schools continue to be underfunded.

With that said, if you haven't seen this trailer, please watch it. It is so cute.

In my latest Fandom Friday post, I wrote about Abbott Elementary's Janine Teagues and Gregory Eddie's newfound relationship in the fourth season premeire episode Back to School. As well as how cute and adorable their dates were which were shown in a montage scenes. And thanks to finding this video by BreeStarEdits, I can post it.

So in the montage, Janine and Gregory's dates were of them going: out to dinner, to the museum, the movie theatre and enjoying outdoor dates. All these sweet and romantic moments allowing them to get to know each other as more than just friends. Because being in a romantic relationship will be so much more different than the years of friendship that they had. But what I love about friends-to-lovers, is that their friendship is still there. It's just the romance enhances it.

So many of us fans had been waiting for Janine and Gregory to get together. I didn't think it was going to happen, that is until it finally happened at the end of last season finale. It's just so amazing when one of your favorite non-canon couples finally goes canon. Which is why I can't wait to see how their relationship will continue to develop throughout this new season.

Fandom Friday: Random Fandom Thoughts #44: Superman & Lois, Abbott Elementary and Rescue: Hi-Surf

Happy Friday! Here are a few fandom thoughts that have been on my mind:

- The first two episodes of the fourth season of Superman & Lois are so heartbreaking but oh so good. Lois Lane and her sons Jordan and Jonathan are trying to deal with the death of Superman/Clark Kent while also having to deal with a very vindicative Lex Luthor who is the reason why Superman is dead. I think at some point grief is going to hit Lois hard because right now she's trying to hold it all together but sooner or later she's going to be dealing with it.

I thought Jordan had a good idea of looking for their dad's heart but his twin brother Jon was right that Lex had set a trap. But my thought is that Lex didn't stomp on Clark's heart that was some kind of decoy heart. I believe Clark's heart was in that briefcase or whatever that case or container was that Lex was looking at before Amanda McCoy arrived at Lex's house. I could be wrong but it just seemed too easy to destroy a Krytopian's heart. I guess I'll see how the rest of this final season goes but I think they will get Clark's heart back to be able to revive him.



- I loved seeing the montage of all the cute and adorable dates Janine Teague and Gregory Eddie went on the Abbott Elementary fourth season premiere episode. And the dates they were planning, it's just so cute. I hope we get to see more of their dates as the season continues. I can't wait to see how their relationship will grow and develop further because right now they are still in the early stages. I'm sure they will have a few issues along the way but for now they are sweet and happy getting to know each other.



- I really like Rescue: Hi-Surf and I'm trying to figure when Captain Harlan "Sonny" Jennings is going to get help for his grief. It's getting worse and he truly needs to talk with a therapist about it. I think Emily "Em" Wright and Will Ready (I believe that's his last name) have really good chemistry. And I'm sure at some point they will get together. Which is why I can't see Will getting married to his fiance Julie (I think that's her name). Because what little of their relationship that's been show, I don't see them working out.

Fandom Thoughts #1: Janine and Gregory and Buck and Tommy

I didn't get a chance to post my Friday Random Fandom Thoughts, so I'm posting them today for Fandom Thoughts. These are just a two thoughts I had about romance that have been on my mind:

- I felt like I had to take two to three business days to process my happiness that Janine Teagues and Gregory Eddie are finally getting a chance to be together in Abbott Elementary. That kiss in the season finale episode Party (season 3 episode 14) was so perfect. I love that they put the camera crew out and pulled down the shades. This moment was for them. I just love it so much. I'm so absolutely over the moon happy because I feel like us fans have been waiting forever and now it's finally happening.

I will have so much more to say about Janine and Gregory, I just need to finish processing it. I have been rooting for them and I'm just so happy it finally happened.

- And now for unhappy romance thoughts, I have been avoiding saying anything about 9-1-1's Evan "Buck" Buckely and his latest love interest Tommy Kinard. Well, other than to say he's another bland and boring love interest as well as Buck and him have zero chemistry. I can't get over the feeling that Tommy doesn't really even like or respect Buck. He always has something rude and condescending to say to Buck. Back in the episode Buck, Bothered and Bewildered (season 7 episode 4), the way Tommy had all these plans and was doing all these different things with Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz, it seemed like he was romantically interested in Eddie. However, since he couldn't get with Eddie, he settled for Buck.

At least with Buck's previous love interests: Abigail "Abby" Clark, Taylor Kelly, Ali Martin and Natalia Dollenmeyer, who despite their flaws, faults and levels of being a plot device you could at least tell they were interested in him. I can't say the same for Tommy who seems to tolerate Buck at best.

I also can't get over how he didn't tell Buck he had soot all over his face after they kissed and just let him walk back in to Howard "Chimney" Han's hospital room without saying one word in the episode There Goes The Groom (season 7 episode 6). I don't know why his supposed love interest would choose not to say anything and let him be embarrassed in front of his family and friends? And not to mention being rude and passive-aggressive during and after their first date which didn't go well in the episode You Don't Know Me (season 7 episode 5). Which unfortunately later in the episode had Buck apologizing, when Tommy should have been been the main one apologizing.

I know as a guest/recurring character Tommy is nothing more than a plot device moving Buck's story along. But I wish the writers would let Buck know just because he realized he was bisexual he doesn't have to settle for the first guy that showed any "interest" in him. Especially someone who is condescending and rude. Buck deserves a better love interest than that. I hope when this "relationship" ends, Buck will be the one who will get to end it.
