Most Memorable Scene: Ayesha and Sovereign Chambermaid (Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2)

This post credit scene between High Priestess Ayesha and Sovereign Chambermaid (I don't believe she had a name) from Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 is one of my favorite scenes. And that's because it had just the perfect amount of drama and suspense. It was the perfect set up for the third Guardians movie with teasing the creation of Adam Warlock. I guess, after Ayesha's failed attempt at destroying the Guardians in Vol. 2, she decided to create the ultimate weapon.

I always thought The Sovereign were interesting villains because they take being perfect to an extreme. I wish The Sovereign had gotten a miniseries on Disney+ because seeking perfection has to lead to some opposition. Because there have to be some people who don't want that or to be like everyone else. I don't know, I just think it would be interesting to see if there is some that rejected the idea of perfection.

Anyway, I just really like this scene. It's been a while since I've watched all three Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Maybe I'll watch the trilogy this weekend.

Fashion Meets Comics: Ayesha (The Sovereign - Guardians of the Galaxy)

There is something so creepy about The Sovereign's quest for perfection. They engineer it in the creation of their people because to them Perfection is the key component to who they are as well as to everything in general. Which is why they made such interesting villains in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies because nothing is perfect and their attempt to strive for it makes them scary. By engineering perfection you lose what makes everyone unique. I would like to note that The Sovereign never would have been villains to the Guardians if Rocket hadn't stole some of their batteries. But this is getting away from the point of this post which is Fashion Meets Comics.

Most Memorable Scene: Guardians of the Galaxy vol. #2: The Guardians and The Sovereign

Happy Monday!

I can definitely say that I didn't have a happy weekend. I was sick with a really bad cold (not Covid thankfully) and I didn't do anything all weekend except take medicine and rest. I didn't have the energy to read, watch or write anything which is why I didn't get to post a Weekend Film for Sunday and few other things I had originally plan to post. Here's one, a Most Memorable Scene from Guardians of the Galaxy vol. #2.

If it wasn't for Rocket Raccoon stealing some of the Sovereign's batteries, the Guardians never would have had to try to keep evading the Sovereign. Then Peter Quill wouldn't ended up meeting his biological father (because Yondu Udonta is really his father) who turned out to be yet another terrible being. Anyway, I find this scene interesting because Drax laughing at Rocket was way too obvious that they were up to no good.
