On My List: August 15th

Okay, it's been a while since the last time I posted On My List and I'm going to make sure to post something weekly.


Books I Want to Read:

On My List are three middle grade books that I really want to read that focus on babysitting, Indian mythology and the supernatural. How could I not want to read these books? They each seem like a good read.

Book: Best Babysitters Ever (Best Babysitters Ever book #1) by Caroline Carla

Description:

A funny new middle grade series about three 12-year-old best friends who start a babysitting club in their small California town. Perfect for fans of series like Whatever After and the Dork Diaries.

Once upon a time, a girl named Kristy Thomas had a great idea: to form The Baby-Sitters Club with her best friends. And now twelve-year-old Malia Twiggs has had a great idea too. Technically, she had Kristy’s idea. (And technically, little kids seem gross and annoying, but a paycheck is a paycheck). After a little convincing, Malia and her friends Dot and Bree start a babysitting club to earn funds for an epic birthday bash. But babysitting definitely isn’t what they thought it would be.

Three friends. No parents. Unlimited snacks. And, okay, occasionally watching other people’s children. What could possibly go wrong?

DVD Tuesday: Batman: Assault on Arkham and Muppets Most Wanted

Two DVDs that are out today that I want to pick up are:

Batman: Assault on Arkham

Even though Batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy) is the headliner, the real focus will be on The Suicide Squad. Amanda Waller (voiced by C. C. H. Pounder) has tasked the group to infiltrate Arkham Asylum which of course they will eventually meet up with Batman.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this. It just have to be better than the last DVD Batman and Son, because that movie was awful. I highly doubt both Kevin Conroy and C. C. H. Pounder would attach themselves to a losing project.



Muppets Most Wanted

I didn't get a chance to see this when it was in the theatres but I really want to. Who doesn't love the Muppets? They're just so wacky and crazy.

Well, for this movie Kermit is arrested for a crime that he didn't commit but his friends have no idea because in his place is the notorious criminal pretending to be him.


So, if I don't pick these up today then maybe this weekend.
