Fashion Meets Comics - Guy's Edition: Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali (The Big Bang Theory)

I just adore Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali, he's a lovable science dork who is not afraid to get in touch with his feminine side. Raj has come a long way from needing his best friend Howard to speak for him because he was too afraid to talk to women himself. However, his colorful wardrobe is one thing that hasn't changed.

He's usually shown wearing his typical "uniform" which consist of a track jacket, sweater vest, button down shirt, khaki pants and slip on sneakers.

Fashion Meets Comics - Guy's Edition: James "Bucky" Barnes (Captain America: The First Avenger)

Captain America: The First Avenger didn't strike me as a movie you could find a lot fashion inspiration from that is aside from Peggy Carter's wardrobe. However, after rewatching the movie a few weeks ago, I couldn't stop looking at this blue jacket as well the entire outfit that Sergeant James "Bucky" Barnes was wearing. I thought he looked rather stylish for going into a war.

With this outfit as an inspiration, I approached this Fashion Meets Comics post in a different way. I knew looking at that jacket that it was going to be difficult to find something with that many details. Although, I still wanted to keep the overall consistency of the outfit I decided to go with a more modern look and feel. For the jacket, I simplified it by going with a standard peacoat, as for the pants I went with a combination of cargo and regular pants. Now for the boots, I found four really nice pair that I couldn't decide between so I included them all.

I think I did a really good job with this outfit, what do you guys think?

Fashion Meets Comics - Guy's Edition: Clark Kent's Ties (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman)

When watching an episode of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman it's hard not to notice Clark Kent's ties. They stood out because of the bold colors and patterns, however, they were not so busy that they were distracting.

For this Fashion Meets Comics, I thought about what would work for today's Clark Kent. As a reporter, he is very busy with running around chasing down leads, conducting interviews and typing up articles. He's professional but certainly not boring and stuffy. With that in mind, I chose to stick with bold patterns for that eye-catching effect but I tried my best to avoid anything that looked too 90s.

Fashion Meets Comics: Naruto Uzumaki (Guy's Edition)

I don't post a lot of Fashion Meets Comics for the guys, so I thought I would post one today.

When most people think of the colors orange and black they think of Halloween or a certain prison TV series but Naruto fans generally think of Naruto Uzumaki, the little ninja who dreamed of becoming the Hokage.

Naruto's outfit may work in his fictional world but open toe boots and short pants probably wouldn't go over too well in the real world.

To make his outfit more realistic, I gave it a everyday real world look. I kept the orange and black color scheme but tweaked the outfit a little bit. Instead of an orange and black sweater, I found a nice all black sweater and paired it with a black t-shirt and orange corduroys.

To complete the look, all you would have to do is put on a nice pair of black boots.

Fashion Meets Comics: Conner Kent (Guy's Edition)

I was recently asked by a male reader if I could include some fashion stuff for guys. Yeah, I didn't realize that I didn't post any before but I will do my best to add more. Which is why today's Fashion Meets Comics is Conner Kent a.k.a. Superboy.

Conner's style is very casual, mainly with jeans and a t-shirt. It's hard to go wrong with that look. I took the fact that he doesn't have a lot of money into consideration when putting together this post (hey, the Kents don't exactly have Wayne money).

I found a great pair of jeans and four shirts that would be perfect for someone of his slim yet muscular build.
