Nesting: Set Tour of Julie James' Home for I Know What You Did Last Summer

Jennifer Love Hewitt and entertainment reporter Tommy DiDario gave fans a small set tour of Jennifer's character Julie James' home for the upcoming movie I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot/sequel/revival (I consider it to be all three). Well, it wasn't quite a set tour more like showcasing the mantel. As well as giving us a look at one of Julie's outfits and a little information about the character. And not to mention gifting Tommy that t-shirt. I'm a little jealous, I'd love one of those t-shirts with the iconic line "What are you waiting for?!"

Okay, aside from the items Jennifer talked about (that artwork is amazing), some of the things I noticed were:

1. The books stored in the fire place and up high on the shelves near the celling. I figure since Julie is now a Professor, the set designer probably wanted to highlight that with all the books.
2. Her diploma on the wall. I find it interesting that it almost blends into the wall.
3. From what little of Julie's house we see, it has a very old, slightly dark academia feel to it. Which includes the little knick-knacks placed around the mantel.

As a fan of the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise, I can't wait to see this movie which will be in theatres Friday, July 18th. I'll be honest, I'm not that interested in the new characters, I'm sure they're probably interesting (at least I hope so). However, the real draw to seeing this movie for me is Julie and Ray Bronson. I wish the movie had just been centered around them but hopefully, Ray and Julie will have a good story and a good amount of screen time. Because I want to know what happened in their lives and if they will hopefully survive.

Fandom Friday: Random Fandom Thoughts #28: I Know What You Did Last Summer, Evan Buckley, Lupita Nyong'o and Binge Watching

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's already the end of the week, time is moving along way too fast. It's already a new month. Anyway, here are some of my fandom thoughts. What are yours?

- I would love another I Know What You Did Last Summer movie starring the original cast: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe and from the sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer: Brandy and Mekhi Phifer. I don't really care how it happens, they can totally be new characters who are tourists on vacation and the plot could be similar to the first movie with the six characters some how got involved in an accidental death and have to deal with a killer seeking revenge. I really don't care what the plot would be, I just want another movie with this cast.

It's Jennifer Love Hewitt's 43rd birthday! Imagine having a career in entertainment that spans more than thirty years, that takes a lot of skill and talent especially without having any crazy scandals. I'll admit I'm a big fan of JLH even though I haven't seen all of her movies and shows but I think she's a versatile actress who is great in comedy, drama and horror. Entertainment News #6: Cancelled, New and Reboot Shows, Lewis Tan

- It's been reported that the Amazon Prime TV series I Know What You Did Last Summer has been cancelled after one season. The show has received mixed reviews from viewers with a lot of them leaning towards the negative. I did notice that in some of the positive reviews many stated how they liked the new take on the story. However, I don't think a lot of the viewers enjoyed how the story unfolded which is probably why the show was cancelled. I do wonder if viewers are starting to get tired of reboots?

As for this show, I can't give my opinion on it because despite being a fan of the I Know What You Did Last Summer book and the first two movies, I haven't gotten around to watch the show yet. Even though it's cancelled, I'm still going to watch it to see if it's good or bad.

It's the 24th Anniversary of I Know What You Did Last Summer!

I can't believe it's the 24th Anniversary of I Know What You Did Last Summer! The movie was released October 17, 1997 and starred Jennifer Love Hewitt as Julie James, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Helen Shivers, Freddy Prinze Jr. as Ray Bronson and Ryan Phillippe as Barry Cox. It was adapted from the book of the same title written by Lois Duncan and although the movie had quite a few changes from the book, it still had the same terrifying feeling.

The movie follows four friends who had a tragic accident and from there continued to make the situation worse every step of the way. Thinking they were free from the incident they soon realized they were being stalked by a killer. Despite Julie, Helen, Ray and Barry constantly making non-stop terrible decisions, I Know What You Did Last Summer is one of my favorite movies. So I say Happy Anniversary to an iconic film which had characters that truly never made good decisions.

Entertainment News #3

- The 9-1-1 fifth season will premiere September 20th on FOX and according to reports the firefighters will be dealing with a citywide blackout that will take place over the first three episodes. Which will also include them dealing with escaped zoo animals that are running wild throughout Hollywood Blvd.

Review:

Despite the difference from book to movie with the movie adaptation adding in more horror scenes this was very good. It's filled with plenty of drama and suspense.

The story follows Julie James, Ray Brunson, Helen Shivers and Barry Cox as they deal with the consequences of a terrible act that they committed. Although it was an accident, everything that happened afterwards were choices (mainly bad ones) that they made.

Those choices left forgotten for a year, was suddenly being brought to forefront by someone who knows what happened and is going after them with a vengeance.

It's a race for them to figure out who is behind this as they come to terms with what they did.

I enjoyed reading this (even with the groovy 70s slang that was hilarious), I thought the author did a splendid job of creating a creepy setting while keeping the suspense going.

I have another Lois Duncan book that I found at the thrift store, I hope it will be as good a read as this one.

Currently Reading: Batman: Arkham Unhinged vol #2 and I Know What You Did Last Summer

I loved the first volume, the writing was so good and I love the artwork. Can't wait to read this.
