Trailer: A Quiet Place: Day One

Two years ago, I wrote about Lupita Nyong’o being cast for A Quiet Place: Day One in Entertainment News #12 and now it's finally being released.

Okay, this looks amazing! The story is going back to how it all started, I can't wait to see it. This latest installment in the franchise will be in theatres Friday, June 28th. The first two movies garnered critical acclaim and between the characters and the continued worldbuilding, I'm hoping this prequel movie will be just a good.

Fandom Friday: Random Fandom Thoughts #28: I Know What You Did Last Summer, Evan Buckley, Lupita Nyong'o and Binge Watching

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's already the end of the week, time is moving along way too fast. It's already a new month. Anyway, here are some of my fandom thoughts. What are yours?

- I would love another I Know What You Did Last Summer movie starring the original cast: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe and from the sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer: Brandy and Mekhi Phifer. I don't really care how it happens, they can totally be new characters who are tourists on vacation and the plot could be similar to the first movie with the six characters some how got involved in an accidental death and have to deal with a killer seeking revenge. I really don't care what the plot would be, I just want another movie with this cast.

Entertainment News #12: Cancelled Shows, A Quiet Place and The Witcher

- It's being reported that the DC Comics TV series Stargirl has been cancelled and the current third season will be the final season. I was surprised to hear about this cancelation especially since it seems to be a fan favorite show on the network. I never got around to watching Stargirl but I heard it was good. There have been so many shows cancelled recently on The CW, it makes me wonder what programs they actually have that will interest viewers and fans to continue watching. So far, Superman & Lois is the last of the Arrowverse shows that have not been cancelled or will be ending since the upcoming ninth season of The Flash will be the shows final season.

Fashion: Ariana Debose, Jurnee Smollett and Lupita Nynog'o

I am loving the return of wide-leg pants. They're stylish but also really comfortable and flattering to wear. While attending the Audi and Noma Restaurant event, actresses Ariana Debose, Jurnee Smollett and Lupita Nynog'o were each wearing this fashion staple. From Ariana's matching mauve (or is it brown) vest and pants to Jurnee's dark blue and Lupita's pink jumpsuits, they each look amazing.

Beauty: Four Ways to Wear Red Lipstick

I love red lipstick, it's beautiful and totally brightens up your face and makes you stand out which could be a bad thing if you're wearing the wrong shade. There is no one-shade-fits-all red lipstick, you just have to find the one that flatters you. And once you do, you just have to wear it confidently.

You can wear red lipstick a number of ways but here are four examples to get you started: Classic, Glossy, Matte and Sheer. I do have a tip for novice users, try a sheer version first. It will give you a chance to get used to the color without it feeling too bold.

Why am I just now finding out about the Little Monsters movie? It's a horror comedy zombie movie starring Lupita Nyong'o and Josh Gad, why didn't anyone tell me about this? Anyone else interested in watching this movie? It's available on Hulu, it does seem like a fun movie, I will be watching this.

Lupita Nyong'o at the "Black Panther" Los Angeles Premiere

Okay, can we talk about Lupita Nyong'o's dress, it's so beautiful. At the Los Angeles premiere of the Black Panther movie, she wore a Versace purple chiffon dress with embellished harness and Beladora jewelry. It's insane how pretty this is, it's like wearable art.

From the richness of the color to the opulent details, this is truly one of Lupita's best looks.

Wow, it's been a while since the last time I bought a magazine (yeah, like November). So it didn't surprise me when I went to the store this morning and I wound up getting four magazines. What can I say? A girl just need a little something to read.

Glamour has the Women of the Year picks and tons of other great reads while People Style Watch is full of fashion and beauty stuff.

Does anyone else think People magazine made up for last year's Sexiest Man Alive! choice Adam Levine by picking Chris Hemsworth. I still think last year they should have picked Idris Elba but anyway, I'm happy with Hemsworth being picked.

Since I'm not a huge celebrity person, I didn't know that his wife (Elsa Pataky) was the actress who played police officer Elena in the Fast and the Furious movies (5, 6 and she will also be in the upcoming 7th movie). I've seen those movies plenty of times but who knew.
