Cosplay: Sakura Haruno (Naruto)

Although I think cosplay is so fun and creative, I've never actually done it. But I do love looking at all the amazing costumes and all the hard work and details that are put into creating them. Maybe one day I will consider doing it but for now here is a really cool Sakura Haruno cosplay.

Everything about this costume is awesome, she did a great job putting this together. If there was a live action Naruto movie, this is exactly how I imagined Sakura looking. Again, this is so cool.

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!!!!

It's been a busy day but I'm not going to let that stop me from celebrating one of my favorite holidays.

Since Halloween fell on a Monday, I decided to celebrate in a low key way of doing nothing but watching a bunch of scary movies and gorging on candy. Which is sorry for Gotham, I will not be watching the show tonight, I'm going to have to catch up on it tomorrow on OnDemand.

Non-Canon Couples Week Day #1: Naruto and Sakura

I'm a fan of so many canon couples from Lois and Clark to Billy and Teddy but for this week I wanted to do something different by focusing on some of my favorite non-canon couples. I will be showcasing artwork as well as writing up a few posts about them.

I wanted to begin this week with one of my favorite couples Naruto and Sakura, it's so unbelievable that these two didn't end up together. When I read the manga series it definitely seemed like that's how this was going but I guess that's not the direction Masashi Kishimoto the writer of the Naruto series decided to go with but that doesn't mean I have to stop liking these two being together.

30 Days of Geek Chic, Day 7: Framed Naruto and Sakura Artwork

For fans of Naruto and Sakura (or NaruSaku as some like to call them), I found five very beautiful framed pieces of artwork on Society6 by artist Kaleta.

Although there are eight different frames that you can select from, the artwork is also available to purchase without a frame.

Oh, I love them all and I could see arranging them on my wall as an art display. I do eventually plan to buy them and I want my first piece to be "Under the Same Umbrella". There is just something about that piece that I really like.

Nap Time by Kaleta   $32.00 (for the framed 12" x 10" size)  Also available in an additional size

Haters Gonna Hate by Kaleta    $32.00 (for the framed 12" x 10" size)  Also available in an additional size

Fashion Meets Comics: Sakura Haruno's Boots

Open toe shoes may be the standard footwear in the fictional world of Naruto and though they don't seem practical for ninja they do make them work. I could have taken inspiration from any of the shoes from that series but I decided to go with Sakura Haruno.

Sakura went from someone who although smart, second guessed her skills and abilities to become a more confident person who surpassed her mentor and became one of the best medical ninja around.

Her tall peep toe boots are so unexpectedly chic and edgy but surprisingly very fall. I like how there doesn't seem to be any fashion rules any more and now you have more of a potential to create something that's truly unique. Sakura's outfit is definitely unique but her boots stand out to me the most. They have this aggressive over the top look to them but they're also quite ladylike.

However you wear them, open toe boots are sure to make a statement be it relaxed and casual, sophisticated glam or edgy-cool punk.

There were so many looks that I loved that I had a hard time narrowing it down to the baker's dozen that I selected for this post.
