Nesting: Heartstopper Bookmark

With the Heartstopper movie being released soon (which I can't wait to see), I do plan on getting the books because I know the books probably have a lot more to the story than what was shown in the show. However, until then, I totally want to get this bookmark. It's just so cute. I have a few bookmarks (okay like more than 30 but that's not too much) and I'd love to add this to my collection (which I do use). So, yeah, I'll probably order this sometime today.

Hiatus Watch: Heartstopper Forever Trailer

I have still not read any of the Heartstopper books by Alice Oseman but I have really enjoyed watching the show. I'm a little sad that it's ending with this upcoming movie Heartstopper Forever. But at some point everything does, the movie will premiere on Friday, July 17th on Netflix. I was disappointed when it was first announced that Heartstopper wasn't getting a third season but instead a movie. But looking at the trailer, it looks like it's going to be good.

I do wonder how this is going to end, I hope there is a happy ending for everyone and especially no bittersweet ending. And I really hope that Nick and Charlie are together at the end. I'm really looking forward to seeing this.

Heartstopper Forever (Netflix)

On My List: October 7th: Books and Heartstopper

It's been a while since I've posted an On My List, especially since there are so many things on my list. Anyway, here is a small list of some the books and a TV show that I'm really interested in reading and watching.

Books I Want to Read:

From a dark supernatural fantasy to a foodie cozy mystery to a cozy witchy supernatural romantic comedy, I so want to read these three books. They each seem like such good reads. The first book has magic that's seems like it's haunting and life changing. While the second book has small town murder mystery with the new resident as the prime suspect. And finally, a witch is looking for a new love but is her former love helping or hindering the processes.

Book: The Sun and the Void (The Warring Gods book #1) by Gabriela Romero Lacruz

Description:

Two women embark on a unforgettable quest into a world of dark gods and ancient magic in this sweeping fantasy debut inspired by the history and folklore of colonial South America.

Reina is desperate.

Stuck on the edges of society, Reina’s only hope lies in an invitation from a grandmother she’s never met. But the journey to her is dangerous, and prayer can’t always avert disaster.

Attacked by creatures that stalk the mountains, Reina is on the verge of death until her grandmother, a dark sorceress, intervenes. Now dependent on the Doña’s magic for her life, Reina will do anything to earn—and keep—her favor. Even the bidding of an ancient god who whispers to her at night.

Eva Kesaré is unwanted.

Illegitimate and of mixed heritage, Eva is her family’s shame. She tries to be the perfect daughter, but Eva is hiding a secret: Magic calls to her.

Eva knows she should fight the temptation. Magic is the sign of the dark god, and using it is punishable by death. Yet it’s hard to ignore power when it has always been denied you. Eva is walking a dangerous path. And in the end, she’ll become something she never imagined.

On My List: November 6th

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful and restful weekend. I wanted to post a few things that are On MY List:

Books I Want to Read (But Just Haven't Bought Yet):

This week's group of books are comic books and graphic novels. First, is a Princess Azula one-shot/stand-alone Avatar: The Last Airbender story. Second, is the fifth volume of Heartstoppers and last is the first volume of Wonder Woman by George Pérez. All three are books that I really want to read.

Book: Avatar: The Last Airbender: Azula in the Spirit Temple by Faith Erin Hicks and illustrations by Peter Wartman and Adele Matera

Description:

A brand new stand-alone comics story from the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender!

Azula continues her destabilizing campaign against the Fire Nation and her brother, Fire Lord Zuko.

But after a failed attack on her latest target, Azula finds herself in a mysterious forest temple inhabited by a solitary monk…or is it something more mysterious? Azula must confront her past, and finally face her chance at redemption.

Hiatus Watch: Three shows I'm watching in June

I love hiatus season, there's not a lot of new shows airing which means it's the perfect time to catch up on shows that I've gotten behind on, shows that I haven't seen or shows I want to rewatch. Aside from watching the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries and a few other shows, here are three shows that I'm going to watch this month:

Chicago Fire season 1 (NBC)

I bought the first season of Chicago Fire on DVD late last year and I watched the first two episodes and I really liked them. But for some reason, I never got around to watching the rest of the first season. Which is why during hiatus season, I'll watching this and maybe even get around to watching second season as well.

Starring: Taylor Kinney, Christian Stolte, Eamonn Walker, Joe Minoso, Randy Flagler, David Eigenberg, Jesse Spencer, Anthony Ferraris, Kara Killmer, Yuriy Sardarov, Monica Raymund, Miranda Rae Mayo, Daniel Kyri, Charlie Barnett, Alberto Rosende and more

Creators: Michael Brandt and Derek Haas

Description:

The story of firefighters and paramedics in the city of Chicago, both on a personal and professional level.
