I've been reading about the terrible news about Nex Benedict, a 16 year old nonbinary student who died after being severely beaten by classmates in an Oswasso High School's bathroom. Why is there so much hate towards the LGBTQ+ community? It's truly sad that incidents like this keep happening. There is so much hate and divisiveness in this world. From politicians to everyday people, it feels like hate is everywhere. It's so sad that Nex is dead and so far it doesn't seem like anyone has been changed with this crime. The students who did this, should turn themselves in but I doubt they will. I wouldn't be surprised if they will ever be charged?
This is why I have been so disappointed with the executives who run ABC and the 9-1-1 TV series for continuing to have that transphobic actress on the show. Why are they choosing to stick with someone with such a hateful point of view towards trans people? As well as continue to ignore fans' complaints about it?

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful and restful weekend. I wanted to post a few things that are On MY List:
Books I Want to Read (But Just Haven't Bought Yet):
This week's group of books are comic books and graphic novels. First, is a Princess Azula one-shot/stand-alone Avatar: The Last Airbender story. Second, is the fifth volume of Heartstoppers and last is the first volume of Wonder Woman by George Pérez. All three are books that I really want to read.

Happy National Coming Out Day!
I want to say that no matter if you’re out, considering coming out or in the closet. As an ally, I want to let you know that you are so worthy of being celebrated, loved and appreciated.
Coming out is however you decide it to be. It's an undertaking of accepting who you are in this world. Today's holiday is to celebrate the power of figuring out and celebrating who you are. There is no timeline or set date to coming out. And no one should ever make you feel forced to do so. The main thing is you make the decision.
As a reminder, it's okay if you're not ready or ever feel like your ready, to come out. Again, it should be your CHOICE. I feel like no one should feel or be forced to share their sexuality with anyone. It may be National Coming Out Day, but I want to specifically send some love to anyone who is not ready (or will be able to) come out today. Don't feel pressure to come out, you should only do it when you're ready. There is also the option of never coming out. Again it's your decision.
Whatever you choose to do. Do it for yourself and in your own time. Happy National Coming Out Day!

On My List: September 10th
Happy Sunday!
Before I post about On My List, I wanted to send all my love to the people in Morocco after the devasting earthquake. Every little bit of news I hear is just so awful. I truly hope that all who have survived will be able to rebuild their lives and mourn all that have died. This is such a difficult to segue from but here On My List.
Books I Want to Read (But Just Haven't Bought Yet):
In this week's group of books is a board game centered mystery (I believe this is a cozy mystery), a supernatural romance and an unexpected celebrity romance. All three books seem interesting.

On My List: September 3rd
Happy Sunday!
How is everyone's weekend? I hope you're having a good one. I was wondering what's on your list? What books, shows and movies have you found or caught your interest? On My List, I have a few books and a couple of shows that I have been interested in. So, what's on your list?
Books I Want to Read (But Just Haven't Bought Yet):
I guess I'm still in a romantic sort of mood and the first two books center around love, crushes, friendship and life. The third book is centered around a creepy house with someone trapped in it. Although, I just bought a few new books, I really want to get these three.
Book: Give Me a Sign by Anna Sortino

Romance was never on the agenda, and Lilah’s not positive Isaac likes her that way. But all signs seem to point to love. Unless she’s reading them wrong? One thing’s for sure: Lilah wanted change, and things here . . . they're certainly different than what she’s used to.

I love a good horror movie and book which is why I'm super excited for this soon to be published (as in on Tuesday) book You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight by Kalynn Bayron. It seems like an interest take on the Friday the 13th movies, can you imagine a fun summer job turning into a fight for your life? Happy June and Pride Month!
It's the first day of a new month and I feel good and positive about June. Hopefully this month will be good for everyone. Now as for Pride, I want to wish everyone in the LBGTQ+ community a very happy month especially to any of my readers who may not have to fortune to be able to be out. Every month should be Pride Month because you should be able to love who you are and celebrate your community and not have to deal with all this hate that is directed at your community.
So, happy Pride Month to everyone but most especially to anyone who is: closeted, questioning, afraid to come out, struggling with repression, don't really know what label you want to use, or prefer to be unlabeled, etc. The point is that no matter your struggle or situation you are still celebrated for Pride.
You should feel safe to be yourself in this world. But unfortunately, times are tough and in some places very dangerous right now, but hopefully everyone can continue to fight back against these hateful laws and policies to try to make the world a better place. So please celebrate this month and every month.

On My List: May 2nd
It's been a while since I posted On My List which is a fun post where I let you know about some of the books, movies, TV shows and music that I'm interested in. Since, I have an ever growing list of things that I want to read, watch and listen to, I'll never run out things to share.
For this list, I have three books that I want to read, a TV show I watch rewatch, a new show that I want to watch and a new movie that I want to watch.

I guess I'm in a romantic sort of mood and these three books which center around love and life are On My List. From politics to writers' retreats to missed opportunities, love has an interesting way of finding you. I haven't bought any new books in a while, I really want to get these three.

Book of Interest: The 99 Boyfriends of Micah Summer
Happy Sunday! How is everyone's day going so far?
I just pre-ordered this book The 99 Boyfriends of Micah Summer by Adam Sass which is something that I don't usually do. That's because I've been trying not to buy too many books so that I can read the ones that I already have that have been sitting on my shelves unread for way too long. I've been doing pretty good because the only other book that I recently bought was The Ink Black Heart (Cormoran Strike book #6) by Robert Galbraith.
Anyway, back to this Book of Interest, The 99 Boyfriends of Micah Summer seems absolutely delightful with Micah being too shy to actually ask a boy out that is until he meets a guy that he can't help but want to connect with. Which according to the description leads to a quest to find his mystery boy. This seems really fun and cute, I can't wait to read it. Maybe, I'll move it to the top of my TBR (To Be Read) List, so I can read it sooner.

I found three interesting books, a music and magic fantasy, a supernatural romantic comedy and a contemporary story about a ballet dancer having to re-evaluate her dreams. These are three books that I really want to read. I really love finding and reading so many different stories.

It's the start of a beautiful new week and I was wondering what's on your list? What books, shows and movies have you found or caught your interest?
I'm going to start posting On My List more often because there are just so many things that interest me. Well, here's my list:
Books I Want to Read
I have three very different books on my list. First is about finding yourself and loving who you are. The second is centers around a cooking competition where the contestants may find love and the third is a fantasy set in the world of magic. All three books seem very interesting.
Book: 30 Things I Love About Myself by Radhika Sanghani

Book of Interest: You Should See Me in a Crown
I have been wanting to read You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson for a while. I need to go ahead and buy it or see if it's at the library because I really want to read it. This just seems like it will be an interesting story with Liz Lighty trying become Prom Queen in order to win a scholarship. However a potential romance might dash her chances of wining. This looks a fun story and I love the cover.

Happy first day (or is it night) of Spring!
I love creating On My List, it's where I get to share some of the books, shows and movies that I want to read and watch. And here is my latest:

From a new romance to a hero trying to save her neighborhood, these are three books that I really want to read. I love reading different genres of books and I'm loving all the wonderful picks that are out there.

Five Books of Interest: February 26th
There's an endless list of interesting books that I want to read. From Young Adult to Supernatural, here are five books I found that I really want to read. I can spend hours searching for books and I'm sure my fellow bookworms probably feel the same way.

Book of Interest: Cemetery Boys
The Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas is one of my most anticipated reads and I love the cover. I'm a big fan of supernatural stories and if they include a little mystery and romance, it like the perfect read. Okay, bookworms who else is planning on reading this?

Books of Interest: The Extraordinaries
What new releases are you interested in reading? For me, it's The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune. I love that this book is going to explore the fan experience and superheroes while also a little romance as well. I love the cover, the art was made by David Curtis, it's really cute and colorful.

Book Club Picks for July: Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda, Batman: Harley and Ivy and Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi: Into the Void
The postponement is finally over, the book clubs are back! We've had a three month break and now it back to reading. For anyone who doesn't know there are three book clubs: The Book Girl's Book Club, Comic Book Club and Star Wars Book Club. The first club is where we read books from all types of genres except for comic books. Which is why we have the second club and the third club is for reading Star Wars books. Feel free to pick from whatever book club or book selection you find interesting or you could read them all.
For this month, I picked Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli for The Book Girl's Book Club. I wanted to read this last month but my reading slump put and end to that plan. So, I thought why not make it a book club pick instead.
For the Comic Book Club, I picked Batman: Harley and Ivy: The Deluxe Edition by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm. It's an anthology that features several stories about the lovable yet deadly duo Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.
As for the Star Wars Book Club, I picked Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi: Into the Void by Tim Lebbon. Despite being a big Star Wars fan, I haven't read a lot of the books. Which is the reason why I started this book club because I wanted to inspire other Star Wars fans to read the books as well. This book is set during the Pre-Republic and although these Legends books are no longer canon, they should still be considered worth reading.
