I have been waiting for the return of Elsbeth, I just have to wait one more month until then. I just love this show, it follows Elsbeth Tascioni, a wacky and inquisitive lawyer (with an equally wacky wardrobe) who moved to New York City for a job to monitor (investigate) Captain Charles Wagner and the officers at their NYC precinct. And while she was doing that, she was also helping (whether they wanted her to or not) to solve a lot of very interesting cases with Police Officer (and aspiring Detective) Kaya Blanke.
By the end of the first season after Elsbeth's investigation had ended, she was let go from her job, however, she was offered a new job I believe by Captain Wagner to investigate corruption within the department. And of course she's going to continue solving cases.
Looking at the trailer, the second season looks like it's going to bring even more interesting cases and more of Elsbeth's wacky fashion. This looks like it's going to be a good season, I can't wait to see it. The second season of Elsbeth will premiere on Thursday, October 17 at 10:00 PM EST on CBS.
I guess it's officially the end for 9-1-1: Lone Star. I know a lot of us fans were hoping something might happen to save the show since FOX at the time hadn't officially released a statement. But I guess not. So, now this fifth season is the final season and from this First Look, it looks like it's going to be a good one. There's a huge train crash that might lead to even more danger and disaster. And not to mention, the little glimpses of personal life drama that was shown.
I do want to know how the writers are going to explain why Grace Ryder is not there? I just hope they don't kill her character off, that would be so disappointing if that was the way they write off her character. Other than that, I'm sad that this will be the end of the series but I'm excited to see how it will end. The fifth and final season of 9-1-1: Lone Star will premiere Monday, September 23rd at 8:00 PM EST on FOX.
In keeping with the Father's Day theme, there's a new show Poppa's House premiering this fall on CBS that I'm interested in seeing. It's a sitcom that centers around "Poppa" a talk radio host who is dealing with being challenged at work with a new co-host. As well as dealing with his adult son who doesn't seem to have his life together.
If Poppa has been doing his radio show alone for years, then adding in a new co-host is probably going to cause problems for him. Especially since he will have to adjust to working with someone who more than likely will have differing opinions. As for dealing with his son, I guess parenting never truly ends, so maybe he's going to try to help his son figure out his life or since this is a TV show help make it worse. Who knows? Which is why I'm interested in seeing this. Poppa's House will premiere Monday, October 21st at 8:30 PM EST on CBS.
Poppa's House
Description:
Legendary talk radio host and happily divorced Poppa has his point of view challenged at work by a new co-host. While at home, he finds himself still parenting his adult son, a brilliant dreamer who is trying to pursue his passion while being a responsible father and husband.
I initially had mixed feelings about watching the upcoming new series Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage and that was mainly because I wondered if these characters needed a spinoff. I know we are in the era of reboots, remakes, spinoffs, etc. and this new show is a spinoff of Young Sheldon which is a spinoff of The Big Bang Theory. So, I was wondering if a spinoff needed a spinoff.
However, I did change my mind about the Georgie & Mandy spinoff by the end of Young Sheldon's seventh and final season. And after watching this video of the cast and crew answering questions about the show, I'm even more interested. I want to see what the Showrunner and writers will have in store for these characters. While watching Young Sheldon, I wasn't a fan of how Mandy's mom Audrey McAllister kept interfering or manipulating things because she thought her way was best. Mandy and Georgie are adults they need to figure things out their way but I guess it wouldn't be a TV series if someone wasn't causing some sort of trouble.
Anyway, I loved watching The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon and I hope I will love watching this new show as well. Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage will premiere on Thursday, October 17th at 8:00 PM EST on CBS.
The promotion of Fall shows are really starting to get rolled out. And here's the First Look at the new lifeguard show, Rescue: Hi-Surf. The more I see of this show, the more I can't wait to see it. I'm really looking forward to getting to know these characters and all the drama they will get into as well as seeing all of these amazing rescues.
Rescue: Hi-Surf will have a two-night premiere starting on Sunday, September 22nd tentatively scheduled for 8:00 PM EST (after the football game) on FOX. The show will continue the following Monday night (Edit to add: at the regular scheduled day and time) at 9:00 PM EST after 9-1-1: Lone Star.
Shall we start the countdown now? We have a little over two months before the fourth and final season of Superman & Lois will premiere. It's going to be a two hour premeire on Thursday, October 17th at 8:00 PM EST on The CW. This is probably one of my most anticipated shows for the fall season. I know they are going to bring Superman/Clark Kent back, it's just Lois, her sons, the world and us viewers are going to have to deal with his death before it happens. I really want to know how the writers are going to bring him back. Anyway, I can't wait to see this season.
I'm not ready for the beginning of the end of the Superman & Lois TV series. I really wish it wasn't ending. Anyway, here's the teaser trailer for the upcoming fourth season and it's totally piqued my interest. Now I wonder if Clark/Superman is going to return from the "dead" as he does in various stories or are the writers going to create something a little different? As stated in this teaser, the full trailer will be released next Saturday, July 27th. I can't wait to see what else will be shown.
The fourth and final season of Superman & Lois will have a two hour back-to-back episode premiere on Thursday, October 17 at 8:00 PM EST on The CW.
- 9-1-1: Lone Star fans we don't have to wait too much longer for the fifth season (which may also be the finale season). The new season will premiere Monday, September 23rd on FOX. I'm still wondering what the Showrunner and writers are going to do about Grace Ryder and how they will explain her not being there. I know the show is going to open up with a train derailment emergency but I wonder what else is in store for all the characters?
A new show airing this fall on FOX is Rescue: HI-Surf. It centers around the personal and professional lives of lifeguards from the North Shore of O'ahu. Looking at the trailer it seems like a missed opportunity to air it during the summer. It just feels like the perfect summer show. Anyway, this looks good. It definitely reminds me of Baywatch which is understandable since it was a big and popular lifeguard show back in the 90s.
I'm looking forward to watching this new show, it looks like it's going to have a lot drama and suspense and hopefully some cool rescues. Rescue: HI-Surf will air on Monday nights at 9 PM EST following 9-1-1: Lone Star which will return with its fifth season at 8 PM EST.
The more I watch Found, I'm not sure I want Lacey to find out about Sir. I don't know if she will be able to handle knowing the truth. But with the way she's being overly suspicious, she may find out the truth soon. As for Sir, I feel like he is running some sort of mental game with Gabi and is still testing her. Anyway, tonight seems like it's going to be another good episode. And I can't wait to see it.
Found season 1 episode 9: Missing While Scamming 10:00 PM EST NBC
Description:
A social media influencer is kidnapped for ransom. As they search for clues, it becomes apparent the case is more complicated than anticipated. Lacey confronts Gabi about their faltering friendship. Sir remembers troubling moments from his past.
I'm totally late posting this but here is tonight's trailer for the new Found episode.
Found season 1 episode 7: Missing While Indigenous 10:00 PM EST NBC
Description:
Native American school teacher Denae Wagon decides to deliver her baby on the tribe's reservation in Virginia but disappears before she can make it home. The search is complicated by a tense family dynamic and Denae's high-risk pregnancy.
Found keeps getting better and better. The drama keeps building as well as Sir's manipulation tactics towards Gabi. I like the missing person cases the Crisis Management team takes on. Because everyone who goes missing should be seen as a priority and not just a certain few. As the show goes on, I wonder what will happen to Gabi and Lacey's friendship if Lacey found out the truth about Sir. That he's imprisoned in Gabi's basement. Especially since Lacey is still nervous thinking that Sir is out there some where, possibly still abducting people.
He had abducted both her and Gabi when they were younger and had got away instead of being arrested. So if she ever found out that Gabi has known where Sir is and that he has been helping with their missing person cases, I think she is going to feel hurt and betrayed. But I don't think their friendship would be irreparable, just broken and would need time to heal. Because they are both traumatized from being abducted but they deal with it in different ways. Anyway, I can't wait to see tonight episode.
Found season 1 episode 6: Missing While Addicted 10:00 PM EST NBC
Description:
When Gabi takes the case of a missing man on behalf of his mother, it causes disagreement among the team. Her dogged pursuit of the truth leads to a shocking revelation.
After last week's intense episode of The Irrational, it seems like the show is back to a more light-hearted one. It looks like Alec is going on a date (and solving a mystery) with Rose Dinshaw (who if I'm remembering correctly is a lawyer that has something to do with Crisis Management), she was introduced in the fourth episode Zero Sum.
I know Alec is going to be good at solving the mystery but I wonder how the date will go? I'm still hoping that Alec and Marisa will get back together at some point because they have great chemistry. But until then I'll see how Alec and Rose's date will go. I wonder if it will be a one off thing with her in the end making him acknowledge he still has feelings for his ex-wife. I don't know, I'll just have to see how this date will turn out.
As for the second plotline, I'm happy to see that Alec's sister Kylie is getting more screen time. And it looks her and her former sister-in-law Marisa will be trying to reconnect. A divorce doesn't just affect the couple but their family as well, so it will be interesting to see them hanging out together. And hopefully more often in more episodes.
The Irrational season 1 episode 7: The Real Deal 10:00 PM EST NBC
Description:
Alec's first date with Rose turns into a 24-hour excursion when they find themselves taking on an investigation involving a forged masterpiece. Marisa and Kylie attempt to revive their friendship, which has faltered since Alec and Marisa's divorce.
The ending for last week's episode of Found was so devastating for Gabi because she always tries to do everything she can to help. And in trying to rescue an abducted little boy from traffickers, the traffickers shot at them. Which resulted in a teen boy, who unfortunately was helping the traffickers (although I believe he may have been forced to but I'm not really sure) was shot by the traffickers. He didn't die but he's in a coma.
The father of the teen was mad at Gabi because he felt like she prioritized saving one boy over the other. Which is not what she did at all. She was trying to save both boys even if the teen was part of the trafficking. The traffickers are the ones who injured his son and the father should be mad at the them. Maybe once his anger dies down he'll hopefully see that. But I feel like this is going be brought up at some later point probably used to make Gabi's Crisis Management team look bad.
As for tonight's episode, the team is trying to find a missing young woman but somehow it's going to lead to them uncovering something really important. From the trailer, it looks like Sir is probably going to go after Gabi. He really can't be trusted and it's getting dangerous leaving him in her basement. Sooner or later, she's going to have to figure out another plan for containing Sir before he tries to escape and harm her in the process.
Found season 1 episode 5: Missing While Undocumented 10:00 PM EST NBC
Description:
When the team mobilizes to trace the last steps of 21-year-old Satcha Moncado before she disappeared. Their search uncovers a greater threat that nearly claims the life of one of our own.
Last week's episode of The Irrational was a fun sort of filler episode with Alec, his sister Kylie and his two grad students Phoebe and Rizwan in Las Vegas trying to help one of his former students who is professional poker player. While tonight's episode looks like it's going to be a very heavy yet interesting episode.
I do wonder what decision Marisa will make in regards to the bombing investigation. Maybe she'll take a break from the case because it's starting to become all consuming or she's planning on increasing her investigation?
The Irrational season 1 episode 6: Point and Shoot 10:00 PM EST NBC
Description:
Alec agrees to testify as an expert witness in a wrongful death trial for a friend of Kylie’s. As he faces an old nemesis, he discovers competing emotions around an accidental shooting. Marisa reaches a decision about the bombing investigation.
I know that Gabi Mosley said she was in control in regards to Sir. But in last week's episode, he quickly manipulated her into thinking she was the reason Lacey Quinn had been abducted. He might be reluctantly helping her with cases but he is still very dangerous. As for tonight's episode, in the trailer it makes it seem as if the boy who has gone missing is due to human trafficking. But I wonder if that truly is the case? Or if it has something to with his parents? I can't wait to see how this unfolds.
Found season 1 episode 4: Missing While a Pawn 10:00 PM EST NBC
Description:
When 13-year-old Matthew disappears from church, the team springs into action. Gabi endeavors to keep the divorced parents focused on the search. Gabi is forced to make a devastating choice. Lacey makes a keen observation about Gabi.
Tonight' episode of The Irrational has the team going to Las Vegas to take on a case centered on a poker player. In a subplot, I wonder what FBI Agent Marisa Clark found? Does it have something to do with the Las Vegas case or the continued search into the old bomb case? Either way it will be interesting to see what she found.
To side note but I know it's too early in the season/series for Professor Alec Mercer and his ex-wife Marisa to get back together. But I do hope that they eventually will. They have really good chemistry and it would be a waste not to eventually put them back together. But for now they (mostly Alec) need to work on the issues that broke them up in the first place before they can even think of reconciling.
The Irrational season 1 episode 5: Lucky Charms 10:00 PM EST NBC
Description:
Alec and the team head to Las Vegas to help Camille, a former colleague turned expert poker player who's been lured into danger. They must take some risks to solve a gambling mystery before Camille gets hurt. Marisa makes a significant discovery.
What are your thoughts on Found? I really like this show and I think each episode is getting better as the show goes on. The Crisis Management team are definitely each dealing with various forms of trauma and issues. And it's both helping them with solving these missing person cases while at times also exacerbating their issues as well. As I said last week, I think Gabi Mosley is taking a big risk trying to work with her abductor because it's starting to feel like Sir is manipulating her.
Tonight's mystery centers around a missing man. I do wonder what happened to him? I also wonder who the person Margaret Reed is hoping to repair her relationship with? And I wonder if the issue will be fixed in this issue or sorted throughout the season?
Found season 1 episode 3: Missing While Widowed 10:00 PM EST NBC
Description:
The team launches an investigation for widower Reggie Moore at Cliff’s request, the doorman at Reggie’s building. Gabi comes to a realization about her time with Lacey. Margaret hopes to repair her relationship with someone important from her past.
Are you guys watching The Irrational? It's a really good show and I'm enjoying watching it. From the smart and clever writing and to the interesting characters and mysteries that I'm enjoying finding out more about. Tonight's episodes seems like it's going to have a twist to it because as Professor Alec Mercer said why kidnap someone who couldn't afford the ransom? I can't wait to see how this end.
The Irrational season 1 episode 4: Zero Sum 10:00 PM EST NBC
Description:
Alec and the team take on a kidnapping case at the request of a desperate father; their investigation is hampered by a complicated family dynamic that slowly reveals everyone's hidden motivations.
I'm cutting it a little close posting the trailer for tonight's episode of Found. I thought the first episode was good, Gabi Mosely is taking a big chance keeping Sir captive in her basement. Especially since Sir is dangerous and manipulative and I'm sure at some point he's going to try to escape.
Tonight's episode looks good because the Crisis Management team is trying to find a missing woman. And since she's an escort that probably factored into her not being seen as a priority to look for her. I'm sure they will find her but I wonder if it's connected to something bigger? I guess I'll see once I watch it.
Found season 1 episode 2: Missing While Sinning 10:00 PM EST NBC
Description:
The team mobilizes to search for Jinny Coe, a personal escort who disappeared near her apartment. News anchor Joy-Ann Reid launches a nationwide search for "Sir," who abducted Gabi and Bella when they were young. Dhan makes a breakthrough with Zeke.
