Happy Election Day! (+ a Geeky Holiday List)

If you haven't already, please make sure to vote today. Also, if you haven't registered to vote check to see if you live in a state that allows you to register and vote on the same day. Go to vote.org to find all the information about voting.

Today and probably the next few days are going to be stressful. Here's a quick reminder that it’s okay to take a break from all the election news. Don’t keep checking or scrolling through the news all day. So, to give yourself a break, put down or turn off your phone. Don't watch the news or election result shows. Here is a small list of things you can do: watch shows and movies that interest you. Spend time out in nature or go for a walk. Listen to music that interest you. Draw or knit. Hopefully, you will find something to do that interest you so you're not stressed.

Election Day is a stressful day, eventually we will know the results, so until then, take a deep breath (or several) and try your best to relax. And as always don't forget to vote. Below is a small Election themed Geeky Holiday List, for more, here are my other lists: (1, 2 and 3).

Happy Election Day! (+ a Geeky Holiday List)

I know it's been said countless times but it's really important that we vote and elect people who will make good changes to protect people, the environment and so much more. There are a lot of candidates who want to harm so many people and take away even more of our rights. That's why you have to really know who you're voting for and not just for President. Which is why the Mid-Term Elections are also very important.

I hope everyone who can, will vote or have voted earlier. These elections are too important to sit out. To add a little fun to the day, I have a Geeky Holiday TV List of political or election episodes. For more shows and movies, here are my other two lists (1 and 2).

Happy Election Day!

Happy Election Day!

This feels like one of the biggest elections, I've ever experienced. I really hope everyone either voted early or will vote today because this election is too important to not participate in.

In honor of the day, I created a list of TV shows and movies that either center on an election or politics is at it's core such as the Star Wars Prequel trilogy (which is on the list). If you're looking for more shows and movies to watch, you can also check out my list from 2016.

It's Election Day!

Today, I hope everyone will go out and vote or have already voted through mail-in ballot or early voting. I really wish today was considered a national holiday, so everyone would have the day off to vote. It would make it easier for people so they don't have to worry if they can get to the polls in time without being late to work or going after a long day of work.

With that said, please make sure you vote.

Happy Vote Day! (+ My Vote Day Watch Party List)

Today, I will be going to vote (I hope you did or will be) and since I'm sure the lines will be long, I will be taking my favorite Voting Day reading material Batgirl: The Greatest Stories Ever Told. I love all the stories in this book and there are several that feature Barbara Gordon running for Congress. She believed that going into politics would give her a bigger opportunity to make a difference and not just in small ways as being a superhero.

Throughout the day to avoid stressing out over the poll results I'm going to have a Vote Day Watch Party. I will be watching a few political themed movies, a miniseries and a few episodes from some of my favorite shows. I may not get to watch everything but I'll do my best. I already have plenty of snacks in the kitchen all I have do is figure out what to watch first.

Hopefully by the end of the evening, I will be a more calm and relaxed person when the election results are in.

Here's my list and please, don't forget to go VOTE:
