Entertainment News #20: Power Rangers 30th Anniversary Special, Gossip Girl, M3GAN, K.C. Undercover, Bel-Air

- The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always 30th Anniversary Special will premiere Wednesday, April 19th on Netflix. According to reports, the special will have the Rangers reuniting to deal with a familiar threat from the past. In the midst of a global crisis, they are called on once again to be the heroes the world needs.

Starring in the special are David Yost (Billy Cranston/Blue Power Ranger), Walter E. Jones (Zack Taylor/Black Ranger), Catherine Sutherland (Katherine "Kat" Hillard/Pink Power Ranger), Steve Cardenas (Rocco "Rocky" DeSantos/Red Power Ranger), Karan Ashley (Aisha Campbell/Yellow Power Ranger) and Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam Park/Black Power Ranger).

The special will also feature Barbara Goodson (who was the voice of Rita Repulsa), Richard Horvitz (who was the voice of Alpha 5) and a surprising new character Minh (played by Charlie Kersh) who is the daughter of original Yellow Ranger Trini Kwan.

Happy New Year's Day (+ a Geeky Holiday List)

How is everyone's first day of the New Year?

So far, it's off to a good and relaxing start. I wanted to continue the New Year's celebration by ringing in 2023 with a Geeky New Year's Day Holiday List which features the first episode of several shows. You ever notice how sometimes a first episode or pilot can be so fun, interesting and good that you can't wait to see the next episode. While other times, the first episode could be bad or mediocre and you're just hoping that the show will only improve from there.

Happy Easter and Passover (Belatedly)

With the current state of the country and the world, at time it may seem difficult to feel happy let alone for the holiday. Which is why I want to wish everyone a Happy Easter and a Happy belated start to Passover (which I should have posted something for it sooner). No matter how you're celebrating the holiday, from indoor egg hunts to calling or video chat with family and friends, I really just want everyone to be happy and safe.

With nearly everyone continuing to stay home, I figured it would be a good time to include a fun list of Easter and Passover TV show episodes and movies. I do have two on this list that are probably stretching it holiday wise but I chose episodes from the 1960s Batman TV series the feature the villainous Egghead and the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark because Dr. Jones was looking for the legendary religious artifact the Ark of the Covenant.

Art of the Day: Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl)

I've really been thinking about rewatching Gossip Girl, I used to love watching this show and it's been ages since I've seen it. Blair Waldorf is still one of my favorite characters and Leighton Meester stole every scene she was in playing the Park Avenue Princess.

Toy Corner: Funko "Gossip Girl" Figures

When I found out Funko had created Gossip Girl figures for some of the characters I had to post it. According to the company's website, these figures will not be available until May, sorry no specified date has been released. So be on the look out, who knows when they will be in stores and online.

I definitely know that I want to get the Blair Waldorf and Dan Humphrey figures since they were two of my favorite characters. I'm not sure about the other characters but I'm thinking about getting them all to have a complete set. I wonder if Vanessa Abrams will get a Funko figure too?

Happy Vote Day! (+ My Vote Day Watch Party List)

Today, I will be going to vote (I hope you did or will be) and since I'm sure the lines will be long, I will be taking my favorite Voting Day reading material Batgirl: The Greatest Stories Ever Told. I love all the stories in this book and there are several that feature Barbara Gordon running for Congress. She believed that going into politics would give her a bigger opportunity to make a difference and not just in small ways as being a superhero.

Throughout the day to avoid stressing out over the poll results I'm going to have a Vote Day Watch Party. I will be watching a few political themed movies, a miniseries and a few episodes from some of my favorite shows. I may not get to watch everything but I'll do my best. I already have plenty of snacks in the kitchen all I have do is figure out what to watch first.

Hopefully by the end of the evening, I will be a more calm and relaxed person when the election results are in.
