Happy Fourth Day of the Month! (+ a Geeky Holiday List)

Happy Fourth Day of the Month (formerly known as the 4th of July)!

This is the second year celebrating this new holiday. I used to celebrate Independence Day or the 4th of July but how can I when it continues to be meaningless especially with the steady and continuous loss of our rights. So, now I celebrate the Fourth Day of the Month, it gives me time to reflect and simply enjoy the day. Also, spend time with my family and friends and eating good food. I'm not sure if I'm going to enjoy some of the Fourth Day of the Month's sales but I might see if there's something I want to get.

I noticed that many others are not celebrating the former holiday as well and some of the things many said they're doing are:

- Boycotting the former holiday
- Speaking out against our constant loss of our rights
- Going on a monetary strike (by not buying anything today)

Since it's the Fourth Day of the Month, I created a Geeky Holiday List to celebrate. It features the fourth episode of each season of several shows.

What are five underrated shows?

I've seen this question, what are five underrated shows? asked a lot and I figured I'd go ahead and answer it. There are more than five shows that I think are underrated and I'll probably write another list. But for now, here are five shows I think are underrated:

1. Beauty and the Beast (2012-2016   The CW)

I always felt like Beauty and the Beast was such an amazing show that had an interesting take on the old fairy tale but it was also one of the most underrated shows on The CW. And when it aired, I found it was barely promoted compared to how The CW promoted the channel's other shows. It was also a loosely based reboot of the 1980's Beauty and the Beast TV series.

New fans are finding the show "Into the Badlands"

I noticed online that there a lot of new fans that have found and started watching the show, Into the Badlands. I don't know what brought on this resurgence but as a old fan I'm happy to see new fans embracing the show. The show originally premiered November 15, 2015 on AMC and ran until May 6, 2019. Into the Badlands, really was a good series that was an action packed, character focused post-apocalyptic story that had a complex and very brutal narrative. Unfortunately it was cancelled after three seasons.

So many of us fans were hoping it would be renewed for a fourth season but it wasn't. Well, at least we have these three seasons to enjoy and now so do new fans.

Happy first day (or is it night) of Spring!

I love creating On My List, it's where I get to share some of the books, shows and movies that I want to read and watch. And here is my latest:


Books I Want to Read:

From a new romance to a hero trying to save her neighborhood, these are three books that I really want to read. I love reading different genres of books and I'm loving all the wonderful picks that are out there.
