Sydney Park to star in the Netflix movie "There's Someone Inside Your House"

It's being reported that actress Sydney Park, who stars in the Pretty Little Liars spin-off The Perfectionist will star in the Netflix movie "There's Someone Inside Your House". The movie is based on the same titled book that's written by Stephanie Perkins and Park will star as the main character Makani Young.

I heard so many good things about this book and I can't believe I have it sitting on my shelf. I bought it two years ago and I'm going to try to read it before the movie is released which so far Netflix has not announced a release date.

Book

Book: There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins

Description:

It's been almost a year since Makani Young came to live with her grandmother in landlocked Nebraska, and she's still adjusting to her new life. And still haunted by her past in Hawaii.

Then, one by one, the students of her small town high school begin to die in a series of gruesome murders, each with increasing and grotesque flair. As the terror grows closer and the hunt intensifies for the killer, Makani will be forced to confront her own dark secrets.

Stephanie Perkins, bestselling author of Anna and the French Kiss, returns with a fresh take on the classic teen slasher story that’s fun, quick-witted, and completely impossible to put down.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are Separated

I was surprised to find out that Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have officially separated after less than a year of marriage. Romance can be hard and I'm sure they probably worked on their relationship before separating but I guess things just didn't work out for them.

Ending a relationship is difficult enough but imagine being a celebrity and having to deal with everyone knowing about it as well. I wish them all the best and that they are not hounded by the media with annoying and invasive questions.

Lucy Liu to be Honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

I'm so excited to hear that actress and director Lucy Liu will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. From her breakout role as Ling Woo on the Ally McBeal TV series to her amazing role as Dr. Joan Watson on the Elementary TV series, she has been one of my favorite actors for a long time and it's great to see her being honored. I so adore her character Silvermist, who she voiced for all the Tinker Bell animated movies and not to mention her butt-kicking role as Alex in the Charlie's Angels movies.

According to reports, the ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 1st at the corner of Hollywood and Vine with Lucy being inducted by her friends Rhea Perlman and Demi Moore as she receives the 2,662nd star. Her star will be placed next to legendary actress Anna May Wong, the first Chinese American actress to appear in a Hollywood film.

I know not everyone gets the recognition they deserve but it's really good to see when it does happen. Congratulations Lucy Liu, you deserve it.

Why doesn't Jennifer Lawrence star in a Comedy?

I think Jennifer Lawrence is an outstanding actor, I just feel like most of the time she's cast in so many dramas or heavy movies. I think Jennifer and her management team should take a chance and see about getting her cast in a comedy. It really feels like waste of her bubbly personality and comedic skills not to have her star in more comedies, romantic comedies or just anything more fun and lighthearted.

What do you think should she star in more comedies/romantic comedies?

Dylan O'Brien will be the voice of Bumblebee for the 'Bumblebee' Movie

I just saw the news the Dylan O'Brien will be the voice of Bumblebee for the upcoming sixth Transformers movie Bumblebee which will be in theatres December 21. Since the Autobot never really had a voice in all the previous Transformers movies it will be interesting to hear what he will sound like. I think O'Brien is an interesting choice and he does has a distinctive voice which is why I wonder if his voice will be digitally enhanced or not?

So what do you think, is Dylan O'Brien a good choice as the voice for Bumblebee?

Entertainment: No More Superman for the DCEU but what about Lois Lane?

The news has been breaking that Henry Cavill will not be returning as Superman which is sad to hear. Although, I wasn't initially the biggest fan of this version of Superman with how the character was shown in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman but I did like how he was portrayed in Justice League. I thought the character was finally heading in the right direction and that there would be more Superman movies in the works.

However, I guess that's not to be, well at least not with Cavill as Superman. But I can't help wondering what will happen to Lois Lane? Because in all the news that I have seen so far, there hasn't been any word about what will happen to Amy Adams. Which makes me think that she wasn't even a factor in the negotiations between Henry Cavill and Warner Bros. The Superman story is not only about Clark Kent/Superman but Lois Lane as well which is why the negotiation process should not have hinged on making a deal with Cavill without Amy Adams included in the process.

Just because Henry Cavill is out as Superman I don't think Lois Lane and Amy Adams should be discarded because they are both too good to lose. Although, I doubt it will happen but if there is a third Wonder Woman movie it would be so cool if Lois Lane (Amy Adams) was featured in it. As well as featuring her in other DC Comics movies and maybe even giving Lois her own movie.

It's sad to see the end of this world of Superman WB/DC Comics were trying to create but what annoys me is that they were trying so hard to play catch up with Marvel instead of taking their time to create something good that they didn't think things through in regards to the DC Extended Universe. Because it feels like they are now sort of cutting their losses since the DCEU didn't do as well as they expected. And with no more Superman appearing in the movies (at least for now) the only way fans will be able to see Superman and Lois Lane we be on the upcoming Arrowverse crossover on The CW.

What do you think, is this the end for Lois and Clark for the movies? or should Lois continue to be featured throughout the DCEU?

"Crazy Rich Asians" Book Sequel to be Turned into a Movie

Even though I'm currently reading Crazy Rich Asians (I should have the review posted soon), the movie has done amazing at the box office. It's such a huge success that the sequel China Rich Girlfriend written Kevin Kwan will now be turned into a movie.

I don't have the sequel but I will try to get it along with the third book, Rich People Problems.

Book: China Rich Girlfriend (Crazy Rich Asians book #2) by Kevin Kwan

Description:

It’s the eve of Rachel Chu’s wedding, and she should be over the moon. She has a flawless Asscher-cut diamond, a wedding dress she loves, and a fiancĂ© willing to thwart his meddling relatives and give up one of the biggest fortunes in Asia in order to marry her. Then a chance accident reveals his identity. Suddenly, Rachel is drawn into a dizzying world of Shanghai splendor, a world where people attend church in a penthouse, where exotic cars race down the boulevard, and where people aren’t just crazy rich … they’re China rich.

Sophie Kinsella's Book "Can You Keep a Secret?" is Being Adapted into a Movie

It's recently been announced that Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella will be made into a movie. Actress Alexandra Daddario, who most recently starred in the Netflix romantic comedy When We First Met, will not only star as the main character Emma Corrigan but will also be executive producing the movie. Also co-starring in the movie is Tyler Hoechlin, who most recently starred in the dystopian movie The Domestics, he will play Jack Harper.

I do hope this movie adaptation will be better than the one for Sophie Kinsella's Confessions of a Shopaholic because that movie was so awful. And this is one time where the saying "the book was better than the movie" is a perfect fit because it really was terrible.

I have read a lot of Kinsella's books but I have not read Can You Keep a Secret?. I'm going to add this to my wishlist, hopefully I can read it before the movie is released.

Description:

Meet Emma Corrigan, a young woman with a huge heart, an irrepressible spirit, and a few little secrets:

Secrets from her boyfriend: I’ve always thought Connor looks a bit like Ken. As in Barbie and Ken.

Secrets from her mother: I lost my virginity in the spare bedroom with Danny Nussbaum while Mum and Dad were downstairs watching Ben-Hur.

Secrets she wouldn’t share with anyone in the world: I have no idea what NATO stands for. Or even what it is.

Until she spills them all to a handsome stranger on a plane. At least, she thought he was a stranger. . . .

But come Monday morning, Emma’s office is abuzz about the arrival of Jack Harper, the company’s elusive CEO. Suddenly Emma is face-to-face with the stranger from the plane, a man who knows every single humiliating detail about her. Things couldn’t possibly get worse. Or could they?

Keiynan Lonsdale is No Longer a Series Regular on "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow"

According to reports, actor and singer Keiynan Lonsdale who plays Wally West (a.k.a. Kid Flash) on The CW's Flash and Legends of Tomorrow TV series will no longer be a series regular. I've mentioned before that his Wally is one of my favorite versions of the character because he's fun and always ready for an adventure.

Lonsdale put out a message June 6th on Instagram to let fans know about his decision to limit his appearance. I posted it below.

As a fan, it's sad to see him go but at least he will still be a guest star from time to time. Besides appearing on The CW, Lonsdale recently starred in the movie Love, Simon.  Here's the message he posted:
Yo! Soo as a lot of you have now read, I’m not returning next season as a series regular for @cwtheflash or @cw_legendsoftomorrow. It’s definitely not a total goodbye or “see ya never” situation, cause Wally West will still be round when you need him the most! :) It’s just that it won’t be full time anymore.
I’ve changed a lot in the past year (as you’ve probably noticed lol), and for infinite reasons my perspective on life & what I want from it now is just completely different. Because of that, my heart told me it was the right time to continue my journey on an unknown path, and I’m so damn grateful to both shows for honouring & respecting that with me. I love Kid Flash, I love the family I’ve made, & I’m absolutely in love with the invaluable lessons I’ve learnt along the way. Thank you for believing in me & rooting for Wally to thrive, you honestly helped me see that i did indeed deserve to play him, & that shit right there made me a stronger actor.
Anyway, I hope you stick around for the new adventures, the only thing I can promise is Magic.
Love Keiy ⚡️

Kristen Stewart (Cannes Film Festival)

I know actress Kristen Stewart is considered the Fashion Goth Queen but it looks like she diverted from her usual look with this Chanel cropped tweed pant suit she wore at the Cannes Film Festival.

I like how this classic suit is paired with a white tank top and strappy heels to give it a more casual look. The only thing that could remotely be considered goth about this look is her pedicure.

What do you guys think, are you loving this look from the Goth Queen?

Throwback Thursday: Melissa Ponzio

You really can't go wrong with a little black dress, Melissa Ponzio wore one to The Walking Dead's 4th season premiere party at Universal CityWalk (October 3, 2013). I like this dress, the silhouette works for nearly every body type.

Lucy Hale and Aurora Perrineau at the LA Premeire of "Truth or Dare"

I might not be interested in seeing the Truth or Dare movie but I did like the dresses that Lucy Hale and Aurora Perrineau wore to the Los Angeles premiere for the movie.

They both wore lace in two very different ways. Lucy is all dramatic and gothic in her black lace and pearl adorned dress while Aurora's off the shoulder blue lace dress has a very sweet and sophisticated look. I think their dresses look amazing but so does their hair and make up which goes perfectly with their distinctive looks.

What do you think, do you love these looks?

Kaya Scodelario (Harper's Bazaar Malaysia)

It's a sunny spring day and thought I would post these gorgeous dresses Kaya Scodelario wore in Harper's Bazaar Malaysia December 2017 issue.

The first dress, the Huishan Zhang, is a total fantasy because there is no where in my life that I could a wear a dress like that but it's so pretty. However, the second (Erdem) and third (Fendi) which are both floral prints seem like easy to wear cute party dresses. Don't these pictures make you want to go shopping for new spring dresses.

Alisha Wainwright in NKD magazine

Shadowhunters fans Alisha Wainwright is in the April issue of NKD magazine. I love this outfit she's wearing, the soft v-neck sweater paired with a sheer celestial skirt.

Gal Gadot and Amy Adams

Seeing this picture of Gal Gadot and Amy Adams, who were at the 'Night Before' Pre-Oscars party on Saturday (March 3rd), makes me wish they starred in a non-superhero movie together. I really don't care what kind of movie they are in (comedy, mystery, drama, action adventure, etc.) as long as these two get to be the lead actors.

Kaya Scodelario is on the March cover of the UK Marie Claire

Happy Tuesday!

Check out these amazing photos of Kaya Scodelario for the UK Marie Claire. She's featured on the cover for the March issue as well as being the featured story. I love the cover, it's so bright and colorful.

I keep seeing where Scodelario is described as an up-and-coming actress but does that still stand if she's been in several blockbusters and a hit TV series (Skins)? I don't know but here are some pictures from the magazine.

Lupita Nyong'o at the "Black Panther" Los Angeles Premiere

Okay, can we talk about Lupita Nyong'o's dress, it's so beautiful. At the Los Angeles premiere of the Black Panther movie, she wore a Versace purple chiffon dress with embellished harness and Beladora jewelry. It's insane how pretty this is, it's like wearable art.

From the richness of the color to the opulent details, this is truly one of Lupita's best looks.

"The Death Cure" Cast at the Paris Premiere

It appears Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Dylan O'Brien and Kaya Scodelario saved their best red carpet looks for the Paris premiere of The Death Cure. The film's director Wes Ball (in the first picture) also appeared at the event as well.

Kaya looks youthful and radiant in this purple and white floral asymmetric dress and gold strappy heels. While Thomas and Dylan are wearing really nice three piece suits which have a very retro vibe to them. I do have one issue with Thomas' look, the pants are a little short. Since he's rather tall, I wonder if his stylist accidently got the wrong size pants for him.

Whatever the case, they all look amazing.

"The Death Cure" Cast at the London Premiere

Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Will Poulter attended The Death Cure premiere London along with director Wes Ball.

Dylan O'Brien doesn't appear too out of place among his cast mates even though they are more dressed up because they are all wearing similar colors. He's wearing something casual yet he still looks nice and neat. I really like the little black dress Kaya Scodelario is wearing but I'm not sure about the animal print booties. They're cute but I'm not sure they go with the dress. Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Will Poulter suits are nice but Thomas' suit is more stylish.

Edit: Kaya Scodelario was wearing a Luis Vuitton dress.
