Trailer for LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales

There is a new Star Wars Halloween special, LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales. It will premiere Friday October 1 on Disney Plus. This looks amazing! I love spooky tales and couple that with Star Wars, how could I not want to watch this?

LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales        Disney+

Description:

After the events of The Rise of Skywalker, Poe and BB-8 must make an emergency landing on the volcanic planet Mustafar where they meet the greedy and conniving Graballa the Hutt who has purchased Darth Vader’s castle and is renovating it into the galaxy’s first all-inclusive Sith-inspired luxury hotel. While waiting for his X-wing to be repaired, Poe, BB-8, Graballa, and Dean (a plucky and courageous young boy who works as Graballa’s mechanic) venture deep into the mysterious castle with Vader’s loyal servant, Vaneé.

Along the way, Vaneé shares three creepy stories linked to ancient artifacts and iconic villains from across all eras of Star Wars. As Vaneé spins his tales and lures our heroes deeper into the shadowy underbelly of the castle, a sinister plan emerges. With the help of Dean, Poe and BB-8 will have to face their fears, stop an ancient evil from rising, and escape to make it back to their friends.

Art of the Day: Poe Dameron and BB-8

Artwork: Poe Dameron and BB-8 by The-Black-Panther

I think Poe and BB-8 are a great team and I've always wondered why if BB-8 was Poe's droid then why was BB-8 with Rey so much throughout the sequel trilogy and the LEGO Holiday Special? It would be like R2-D2 being with Han Solo instead of Luke Skywalker throughout the original trilogy. It just didn't feel right. I like to think Rey eventually found a droid of her own at some point.

Fashion Meets Fandom: Poe Dameron's Life Day BB-8 Sweater

Have you watched the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special? If you haven't please do. I love it, it's funny and adorable. Something else I really love is Poe Dameron's festive green BB-8 sweater. It's so cute, I had to see if I could find something that was just as cute as Poe's.

I did find something, it's not a sweater but this BB-8 ornament sweatshirt feel just as festive. And if we didn't have a pandemic, this is something I could see wearing to a Christmas or holiday party. Instead, it could be something I can wear at home while celebrating throughout the holiday.

Star Wars BB-8 Christmas Tree Ornaments Sweatshirt                       $36.90 - $38.90                     Hot Topic (hottopic.com)

Fandom Friday: Random Fandom Thoughts

It's Fandom Friday, what's everyone talking about? Here are a few things I've been thinking of:

- I still think Robbie Reyes a.k.a. Ghost Rider played by Gabriel Luna during the fourth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was so good that I wish he had a movie. No offense to the Ghost Rider movies which starred Nicolas Cage as Johnathon "Johnny" Blaze but Robbie was so unforgettable and his Ghost Rider was absolutely amazing. It just feels like a waste that his character didn't make it into the MCU with a movie.

Quote: Poe Dameron and Lando Calrissian

Poe: I gotta tell you..I don't know how to do this..do what you did. I'm not ready.

Lando: Neither were we. Luke, Han, Leia, me. Who's ever ready?

Poe: How'd you do it? Defeat an empire with almost nothing?

Lando: We had each other. That's how we won.

Finn and Poe Dameron: The Wasted Potential of a Star Wars Love Story

I don't know why Disney is so afraid to show a romantic relationship between Star Wars characters Finn and Poe Dameron and as Oscar Isaac (who plays Poe) said it seems like a "natural progression" between these two characters. Director J.J. Abrams recently stated that there is no romance between Finn and Poe but I have to ask, why not? Especially since the characters have great chemistry and the actors John Boyega and Oscar Isaac both support the idea of their characters being in a relationship.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker "They Fly Now" Clip

This is a cool action packed scene from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker but it's the reaction from C-3PO, Finn and Poe that made me laugh so much. I can't believe after they saw stromtroopers flying using jet packs they each repeated "they fly now". I wouldn't be surprised if Chewbacca said the same thing. Especially, since he said something first.

That little bit of dialogue was so unexpectedly funny that it stood out more than the action. What do you think ridiculously funny or just ridiculous?

Question of the Day: Do You Think Finn and Poe Dameron Should Have a Star Wars Movie or TV Series?

These two pictures from the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker movie makes me wish that Finn and Poe Dameron had their own spin-off movie or TV series. Who wouldn't want to see the space adventures of Finn and Poe? I know I would. I also think it would be cool if Chewbacca and Rose Tico made guest appearances joining the duo in a few of their adventures as well.

I could see a series focusing on Poe and Finn traveling throughout space helping people and fighting against The First Order and also developing a relationship between these two. A series would give the writers more time to expand on the easy and magnetic chemistry between Finn and Poe into a compelling romance.

I always found it fascinating that some Star Wars fans called Finn a coward and a traitor when as a stormtrooper he left The First Order. To me, I consider that to be unbelievably brave that he chose to break free from the brainwashing of the oppressive and hateful regime that he was a part of. Leaving made it possible for Finn to find out who and what he was capable of as well as become a hero. Meanwhile, I find Poe to also be very brave but he's rather impulsive which can lead him to act without thinking and cause huge mistakes. I love that he truly believes in fighting injustice and helping people.

Finn and Poe are such interesting characters and I think if they had a movie or TV series they would get the screen time they deserved and along with more time to explore their story.

Trailer for "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker"

I know most have seen this trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, I meant to post it several days ago but I was still processing it. I'm excited to see this movie, I think it's going to be a thrilling finale to the series. It's really good seeing Lando back and I love that this trailer has a lot of Finn/Poe scenes but it's also sad seeing General Leia and that scene of C-3PO. I hope it doesn't mean this will be the end of the know-it-all droid, he's one of my favorite characters. If it is, I just hope they give him a proper send off.

I can't believe it's the end of this chapter of Star Wars, we all know it's not truly the end of this franchise just the end of the Skywalker saga. The movie will be in theatres Friday, December 20th.

Non-Canon Couples Week: Day #1: Finn and Poe Dameron

It's been three years since I posted my first Non-Canon Couples Week and since I have so many favorites I wanted to post some more. I'm starting the first day with one of my favorite Star Wars non-canon couples: Finn and Poe Dameron.

I have been rooting for Finn and Poe to be a couple since the moment they met in The Force Awakens when Finn (or FN-2187) deserted The First Order to help Poe. However, even more so when they reunited at the Resistance Base because at that point Finn thought Poe was dead. So, he was definitely shocked to find the pilot still alive and not to mention he got to keep Poe's jacket after Poe delivered the iconic line "keep it, it suits you". It's hard to overlook the flirty vibe between them especially with Poe biting his lip while stared at Finn.

Not since Princess Leia and Han Solo in the original Star Wars trilogy have I been rooting for two characters to be in a relationship. Poe and Finn have such a wonderful chemistry that they could have had an equally iconic and amazing love story if given the chance.

As much as I would love for Disney to make FinnPoe cannon, I doubt it will happen because they would have acknowledged or confirmed it in The Last Jedi. So, unless they plan on surprising us FinnPoe fans with something in The Rise of Skywalker, it's most likely won't happen.

Even if it doesn't happen, I don't need it to be official to still be a fan of this would-be couple.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Poster: Finn and Poe Dameron

I envy the fans who were lucky enough to get in to see an early screen of The Last Jedi tonight. What I want from this movie is for Finn and Poe to not only be in plenty of scenes but to have scenes together. These characters are awesome.
