How's everyone's day going? I've really been enjoying the day so much that I nearly forgot to post Sunday's Weekend Film, 14 Love Letters. It's a Hallmark movie centered around mystery love letters, isn't that romantic? This looks like it's going to be a cute movie, it'll be interesting to see who Kallie ends up with. So, who's watching this tonight?
14 Love Letters 9:00 PM EST Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Director: Amy Force
Writer: Jennifer Snow
Description:
After historic love letters start anonymously appearing in Kallie Sharp's mailbox, the hobby farmer searches for her secret admirer and opens herself up to love.
The description for Scritch Scratch by Lindsay Currie really caught my attention because what would you do if a ghost started following you and other weird and strange things started happening. This seems like a really interesting book, I have to add it to my list because who doesn't love a good ghost story? I really want to read this.
Book:Scritch Scratch by Lindsay Currie
Description:
For fans of Small Spaces and the Goosebumps series by R.L Stine comes a chilling ghost story based on real Chicago history about a malevolent spirit, an unlucky girl, and a haunting mystery that will tie the two together.
Claire has absolutely no interest in the paranormal. She's a scientist, which is why she can't think of anything worse than having to help out her dad on one of his ghost-themed Chicago bus tours. She thinks she's made it through when she sees a boy with a sad face and dark eyes at the back of the bus. There's something off about his presence, especially because when she checks at the end of the tour...he's gone.
Claire tries to brush it off, she must be imagining things, letting her dad's ghost stories get the best of her. But then the scratching starts. Voices whisper to her in the dark. The number 396 appears everywhere she turns. And the boy with the dark eyes starts following her.
Claire is being haunted. The boy from the bus wants something...and Claire needs to find out what before it's too late.
What can say about the new movies out this weekend? Well, there's two romance movies: A Splash of Love, a hallmark romantic comedy centered around whales and Purple Hearts a Netflix romantic drama about a marriage of convenience that may turn real. There's also DC League of Super-Pets, an animated DC Comics movie about Krypto the Super Dog and the other super pets. And last is Vengeance, a mystery comedy centered around a podcaster trying to possibly solve a murder.
So, what movies are you watching this weekend?
A Splash of Love 8:00 PM EST Hallmark Channel

I know I'm a little late posting something for 10th Anniversary for Step Up 4: Revolution, Wednesday (July 27th) was the actual date. Anyway, I'll post a celebratory post tomorrow until then here is Timbaland featuring Ne-Yo video Hands in the Air which features dancer and actress Kathryn McCormick who was also the lead actress in Step Up 4. Funny enough, Ne-Yo is one of the stars in the Step Up: High Water TV Series.
I love this scene in the 9-1-1: Lone Star 2nd season 7th episode Displaced where Carlos Reyes holds his boyfriend Tyler Kennedy "T.K." Strand while T.K. talks about how he somehow got on his Paramedic co-worker Nancy Gillian's bad side at work. T.K. had recently become a Paramedic after transferring over from being a Firefighter and at the time, I don't think he realized he was giving Nancy a bad first impression.
Because to Nancy it seemed like T.K. was trying to impress their Paramedic Captain Tommy Vegas and bonding with her which made Nancy feel like she was being pushed aside and slighted. It really didn't seem like he was being a team player which wasn't T.K.'s intention, he just didn't realize he was doing that. I like that Carlos gave T.K. some good advice to make him see things from Nancy's perspective and to see how he was making her feel.
Total side note, I love how these two dorks take turns holding each other. It's really sweet.
I love finding bookish things and I'm constantly on the hunt for anything and everything bookish or geekish. And I'm sure my fellow bookworms do as well. Which is why I love sharing the things I find such as this really cute Bookshelf tote bag by Out of Print. I like that it's colorful and has the titles of classic books on it.
I admit I've been slacking a bit with posting my finds but I'll make sure to post more of the bookish and geekish things I find.
Artwork:Lady Sif - Thor: Love and Thunder concept art by John Staub
I would love for Sif to get either a movie or TV series. Because after her appearances on shows Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Loki and in the movie Thor: Love and Thunder it has only shown how much she needs more screen time.
Who else thinks Sif needs her own TV series or movie?
I love this trailer, this looks like another good season of Never Have I Ever. I'm really looking forward to watching this along with seeing the new characters this season. I do wonder if Devi and Paxton's relationship is going to work? I guess I'll have to wait and see. The new season premieres Friday, August 12 on Netflix.
I was doing a little online browsing and saw that Her Universe has some new items. There are a few pieces I'm thinking of getting such as the Star Wars Ahsoka Tano leggings, Star Wars Logo Droids Raglan T-Shirt, Disney Aladdin Carpet Ride Dress and this really cute Star Wars Endor Ewok Dress. I love the adorable print, it's cute and goes so perfectly with the classic silhouette and color of the dress. I'm obsessed, I have to get this dress, it's just so cute.
I could see wearing it with a pair of cute sandals or flip-flops and a lightweight sweater or blazer. How would you wear or style this dress?
When I first watched this scene from the 9-1-1 fifth season 11th episode Outside Looking In, I remember noticing Christopher Diaz's Star Wars backpack and water bottle. No surprise since I'm a big Star Wars fan. I love how on the show, Christopher's interests are constantly shown such as dinosaurs, sea animals, space/solar system, art, etc. in either big or little details.
I believe this episode introduced his interest of Star Wars with the backpack and water bottle. Chris' backpack was shown again in the fifth season finale Starting Over when his father Eddie was packing it before they left to take Chris to school.
(Christopher and Eddie Diaz 9-1-1 season 5 episode 11: Outside Looking In)
As a fan, it's so cool to see actor Anirudh Pisharody's career really starting to take off. It was recently announced that he's going to be playing recurring character Luke on the upcoming third season of the ABC TV series Big Sky. He also has another recurring character Des who will appear on the upcoming third season of the Netflix TV series Never Have I Ever. As well continue his recurring character Ravi Panikkar on the FOX TV series 9-1-1. I do hope that one of his next roles will be as a lead in a big romantic comedy.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is an absolutely stunning teaser trailer. I love that it also feels like a tribute to Chadwick Boseman because the late actor really did an amazing job of portraying King T'Challa/Black Panther. And I hope this movie will both honor him and showcase all the other equally amazing characters. I can't wait to see Wakanda Forever (and not to mention Namor and Ironheart are in this), it's scheduled to be released Friday, November 11th.
I love when I find a book that I immediately want to read. Too bad this isn't out until next month. Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood seems like a fun little nerdy romance. With Bee getting the job of her dreams but having to work with her rival and nemesis, Levi. However, it just might lead to romance. I guess I'll find out if love and science are a good mix, I can't wait to read this.
Book:Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood
Publication Date: August 23, 2022
Description:
From the New York Times bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis comes a new STEMinist rom-com in which a scientist is forced to work on a project with her nemesis—with explosive results.
Like an avenging, purple-haired Jedi bringing balance to the mansplained universe, Bee Königswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering project—a literal dream come true after years scraping by on the crumbs of academia—Marie would accept without hesitation. Duh. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward.
Sure, Levi is attractive in a tall, dark, and piercing-eyes kind of way. And sure, he caught her in his powerfully corded arms like a romance novel hero when she accidentally damseled in distress on her first day in the lab. But Levi made his feelings toward Bee very clear in grad school—archenemies work best employed in their own galaxies far, far away.
Now, her equipment is missing, the staff is ignoring her, and Bee finds her floundering career in somewhat of a pickle. Perhaps it’s her occipital cortex playing tricks on her, but Bee could swear she can see Levi softening into an ally, backing her plays, seconding her ideas…devouring her with those eyes. And the possibilities have all her neurons firing. But when it comes time to actually make a move and put her heart on the line, there’s only one question that matters: What will Bee Königswasser do?
I love this trailer for Shazam!: Fury of the Gods, this looks amazing. I love the new costumes. I really can't wait to see this, it's scheduled to be released on Saturday, December 25th. I thought the first Shazam! movie was really good, which is why I'm hoping this sequel will be even better. This looks so good and funny and of course action-packed. Again, I can't wait to see it.
Hey movie lovers, what are you watching this weekend? Well, I have three movies that might interest you: Christmas in Toyland, Nope and The Gray Man.
Looking for a little holiday romance, why not watch the Hallmark romantic comedy Christmas in Toyland. Or perhaps you're looking for something a little creepy and scary, you might to watch the horror movie Nope. Or maybe something with a little more action, there's the Netflix action movie The Gray Man.
So whether you're going to the theatre or staying at home, what movies are you watching?
Christmas in Toyland 8:00 PM EST Hallmark Channel
Starring: Vanessa Lengies, Jesse Hutch, Lara Amersey, Elena V. Wolfe, Jane Moffat, Benjamin Sutherland, Imali Perera, Beatrice Schneider, Elva Mai Hoover, Emily Watt, Tavaree Daniel-Simms and more
Director: Bill Corcoran
Writers: Courtney McAllister and Kate Pragnell
Description:
A toy store data analyst attempts to save hundreds of jobs right before Christmas to help keep the in-store experience alive.
I'm a big Teen Wolf fan, however my enthusiasm for the Teen Wolf movie has drop considerably after finding out the behind the scenes stuff with how poorly Arden Cho was treated and as well as seeing this lackluster teaser trailer. I don't even understand why it looks so awful. It's obvious from this trailer they weren't given a bigger budget and it shows.
I also don't understand why the writers are rehashing the villains (the Nogitsune and the Oni) from the third season instead of creating new ones. And since they went with these particular villains it's obvious that Arden Cho's character Kira Yukimura was going to be important to the story yet again since she (along with Dylan O'Brien's character Stiles Stilinski) were back in the third season. But for some reason they thought they could pay her less than her co-stars and she understandably passed. I would have too. Why would you offer to pay her less than the rest of her co-stars? And I can't believe her co-stars didn't stand up for her and make sure she was offered the money she deserved?
Anyway, I can't believe they brought back Allison Argent, who was killed in the third season finale Insatiable protecting her friends. Why bring her back? It makes absolutely no sense. I also can't believe the writers made Mason Hewitt a police officer. There is no way he should have ended up as a deputy. He is such a smart character, they could have made him a teacher, a writer/journalist, a scientist, etc. absolutely anything instead of a cop.
So far, there has been no news of a release date but the Teen Wolf movie will air on the streaming service Paramount+. I was really excited to see this movie but now not so much.
Teen Wolf: The Movie (Paramount+)

I found a thriller that seems really interesting, Confessions on the 7:45 by Lisa Unger. Selena believes her husband is having an affair with their nanny and makes this confession to a stranger on a train. Somehow, the nanny goes missing. It makes wonder if the husband had something to do with it or the mysterious woman Selena made her confession to or in a twist perhaps Selena did it? I don't know, it would be interesting find out and what else is going on in this story.
Book:Confessions on the 7:45 by Lisa Unger
Description:
From master of suspense Lisa Unger comes a riveting thriller about a chance encounter that unravels a stunning web of lies.
Selena Murphy is commuting home on the train when she strikes up a conversation with a beautiful stranger in the next seat. The woman introduces herself as Martha and soon confesses that she’s been stuck in an affair with her boss. Selena, in turn, confesses that she suspects her husband is sleeping with the nanny. When the train arrives at Selena’s station, the two women part ways, presumably never to meet again.
Then the nanny disappears.
As Selena is pulled into the mystery of what happened, and as the fractures in her marriage grow deeper, she begins to wonder, who was Martha really? But she is hardly prepared for what she’ll discover…
I am loving the return of wide-leg pants. They're stylish but also really comfortable and flattering to wear. While attending the Audi and Noma Restaurant event, actresses Ariana Debose, Jurnee Smollett and Lupita Nynog'o were each wearing this fashion staple. From Ariana's matching mauve (or is it brown) vest and pants to Jurnee's dark blue and Lupita's pink jumpsuits, they each look amazing.
9-1-1 fans, here's a fun little video Jennifer Love Hewitt posted transforming into her character Maddie Buckley. Anyone, excited for the upcoming sixth season?
I can read pretty much anywhere. Which is why similar to Gilmore Girls' character Rory Gilmore, who is one of my favorite fictional bookworms, I take book with me nearly everywhere I go. It makes it easier to get in a little extra reading time. However, I prefer to read at home where I can be comfy either sitting in chair or on the couch. That way I can really relax and totally become immersed in whatever I'm reading.
I can't believe I forgot to write something yesterday for the 27th Anniversary of Clueless. This is truly one of my favorite movies, it has an amazing story that follows the "clueless" Cher Horowitz who think she knows what's best for everyone in her life. Alicia Silverstone was pefectly cast as Cher as well as the rest of the cast.
I think the movie was a wonderful modern adaptation of Jane Austen's classic novel Emma (which is also a really good book). I can't forget about the fashion, although the movie was released in the 90s, the fashion doesn't feel dated. There are so many iconic outfits in this movie that it's impossible to overlook. Clueless is a fun, fashionable and thought-provoking movie that is a delight to watch. Happy 27th Anniversary, Clueless!
This is so cool, I had to post it. Natalie Portman with a really amazing group of musicians playing "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses. Also, not to be forgotten is the really cute pink dress she's wearing.
Wow, I can't believe it's the 14th Anniversary of The Dark Knight movie. It was released in theatres July 18, 2008. It's one of my favorite movies and one of best movies out the director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. I like the first movie Batman Begins but the third movie The Dark Knight Rises was so awful, I can't even bother to rewatch it, it's just so bad.
However, The Dark Knight, was so chaotic, fun and interesting to watch with Batman not only trying to stop the Joker but also Two-Face. It felt like a Batman movie especially since the director Christopher Nolan (who also co-wrote the movie) at times seemed to forget that he was making movies about comic book characters. You don't need to make the movies realistic, where's the fun in that. For what it's worth, despite the realism take, the first two movies are still good and I really enjoy watching them. I also like that it didn't seem as if he was trying too hard to tell a good story. Unfortunately, the third movie is truly terrible with the story being all over the place. Anyway, Happy 14th Anniversary The Dark Knight the best movie in the Nolan Batman trilogy.
Remember as a kid when summer really was a break? Do you remember being bored during summer break? I remember not really having or thinking of anything to do. Boredom was inescapable but I loved when I would eventually pull a book off the shelf that I hadn't read and start reading it. Or I'd go outside and watch the clouds and see what shapes or images I might see. Or draw or use my imagination and think of something to do. Being bored and just doing nothing was actually good because sometimes it would eventually lead to something interesting. However, other times I'd think of nothing to do and would just be bored.
I look back at that time as fond kid memories because as an adult, life feels so busy and doing nothing seems like the best thing ever. Now when I find myself with a little downtime, I enjoy it. At times it can be difficult because I start thinking about all the things I should be doing. But I make myself do absolutely nothing. I'd just sit there and do nothing for at least 10-20 minutes and enjoy the peace and quiet. Then I might grab my book and read or watch an episode or two of a show. But the main thing is to do nothing.
I never understood the complaints against digital, audio and comic books/graphic novels, they're all books. There really is no one way to read. It doesn't matter if you like hardcover or paperback, fiction or non-fiction; digital, audio or print, all that matters is that you enjoy what you're reading.
I wanted to know how your weekend was going? Hopefully, you're having a good day.
As for me, this morning, I went to see Thor: Love and Thunder and since I was already out, I figured I'd make a day out it. So after the movie, I stopped by the bookstore. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, I really just wanted to go and browse through the aisles and see what was on the shelves. The section I went to first is the mystery section (which is no surprise to anyone who knows me or visits this blog). I absolutely love reading mystery books and trying to see if I can solve the mystery before the big reveal. I walked around the bookstore browsing through various sections for at least an hour or a little more. I really lose track of time whenever I'm in a bookstore, it just feels like I'm in my own little world.
Anyway, I ended up buying two books: Star Wars The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance by Sean Williams and Body and Soul Food (A Books & Biscuits Mystery book #1) by Abby Collette. I would love to say I'm going to read these books soon. But I have an ever growing list of books that already need to be read, so who knows when I'll get around to reading these two new books. But I am still glad I bought them.
Once I left the store, I didn't really want to go home just yet, so I walked around for a little bit until I ended up where a few food trucks were. Then since it was a little after 1:30, I figured while I was there I'd go ahead and get lunch to go and a dessert since there was a dessert truck there as well. All in all, so far I'd say today was a pretty good day. I watched a movie, bought a couple of books and now I'm eating some really good food for lunch.
Happy Saturday and I hope everyone will have a happy weekend!
Yay, it's the weekend! Although I'm going to see Thor: Love and Thunder today, there are three new movies that I still want to watch: Campfire Christmas, Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank and Persuasion. The first is a Hallmark Christmas movie it's a romantic comedy that centers around a group of friends celebrating the holiday at camp. I'm still not in the Christmas spirit, so I'll tape it and watch it later.
Second is the animated movie Paws of Fury about a dog who wants to become a samurai. This looks like a fun movie, can't wait to see it. Last is the Netflix movie Persuasion which is based on the classic Jane Austen novel. It does seem like there a few changes from the original novel but it still seems like an interesting movie.
So, what movies are you watching this weekend?
Campfire Christmas 8:00 PM EST Hallmark Channel
Starring: Tori Anderson, Corbin Bleu, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Caitlin Stryker, Matt Hamilton, Alec Santos, Enid-Raye Adams, Quinten James, Aleksandra Cross and more
Director: David I. Strasser
Writer: Anna White
Description:
Romance rekindles for Peyton and her closest friends during a holiday themed reunion which Peyton's parents decide to host in their family owned summer camp before selling it.
Attention to my American readers here's some important information, starting tomorrow July 16th, anyone in the U.S. can text or call the new national suicide prevention hotline number 988 to reach trained counselors. They will be able to help you deal with mental health emergencies. So, please call the number if you need help.
I had some additional thoughts about the video, The Story of Christopher Diaz that I posted yesterday and wanted to share them. First, I like that this video included Christopher's mother Shannon Diaz because I thought she was not a good mother and it's okay to say so. That doesn't mean she didn't love her son, but she was not equipped to be a mom, not everyone can handle being a parent. During the scene in the second season episode Haunted when she was in Christopher's bedroom looking at a picture of him and seeing how much he had grown, she asked her estranged husband Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz if Chris had asked about her. Eddie gave her a roundabout answer as to why Christopher didn't talk about her.
Then later in that same scene, when her and Eddie were in the living room, she asked if she could see Christopher. All I could think of is why didn't she ever contact her son in the nearly two years she had been gone? She could have called him, had weekly video calls, e-mailed him, wrote and mailed him letters, sent postcards, sent him presents that included notes or letters or did absolutely anything else to have continued communication with her son. Instead it just felt like she truly gave up on him and didn't see the point in communicating with him.
With Disney making so many Star Wars shows, I wouldn't mind a Maz Kanata or a Yoda miniseries. Can you imagine all that they have seen living for as long as they have especially Maz since she's still alive. If not a miniseries for either character than at least something like this artwork with the two having tea and possible sharing stories, that would be interesting.
I found this really amazing fan made video by Killiarious Youtube that includes scenes from 9-1-1 that focus on Christopher Diaz as well as his parents Eddie and Shannon (and Evan "Buck" Buckley). Since it's Disability Pride Month, I wanted to post this video of one of my favorite characters. It's a little long (over 30 minutes) but it's really good. One thing I like about 9-1-1 is the writers don't ignore Christopher's disability but it's not the only thing they focus on for him.
Christopher is an interesting character because he's a well-rounded and complex character. He's allowed to be a smart, funny, caring, thoughtful, creative and wonderful kid. Which is why I like that this video also included scenes of Christopher being upset and angry because no one is happy and positive all the time. I'm really looking forward to seeing how his story will continue in the upcoming sixth season.
Although some of the fall shows have already started filming there are still new shows continuing to air this summer. Here's the latest, Everything's Trash, it's a comedy about Phoebe, a 30-something still trying to find her way and trying to figure out life. It's interesting watching characters that don't have their lives together because not everyone does. This seems like it'll be a fun and smart show, I'll be tuning in.
Everything's Trash will premiere the first two episodes tomorrow night on Freeform and the episodes will be available the next day on Hulu.
Everything's Trash 10:00 PM EST Wednesdays on Freeform
Starring: Phoebe Robinson, Jordan Carlos, Nneka Okafor, Toccarra Cash, Moses Storm, Brandon Jay McLaren and more
Creator: Phoebe Robinson
Based On: the book Everything's Trash, But It's Okay by Phoebe Robinson

For anyone who doesn't know, the third season of the Harley Quinn animated series will premiere on Thursday, July 28th on HBO Max. I wish the title of the show was Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy especially since Ivy is a rather prominent character in the show. Anyway, I can't wait for Harley Quinn to return.
Update: I forgot to add the Harley Quinn animated series is not for children.
Did you know that simply reading inspiring words can motivate you and help you work towards whatever you're trying to achieve. If you need some encouragement, why not write down inspiring and empowering quotes or saying on sticky notes.
Can't think of any? Why not write down quotes from family, friends, your favorite characters, shows, books, movies, etc. Make sure to place the sticky notes where you'll see them throughout the day to help you stay motivated.
I just came back from a really nice walk, it was just what I needed. Prior to my walk, I was feeling stressed and anxious and I wasn't able to focus. However, going for a walk and being out there in nature was so relaxing. When I'm walking I don't like to take any pictures or listen to music, I like being fully present in nature and listening to all the sounds around me. I know it sounds a little hippie but I like it.
One of my summer goals is to spend more time outside and I've been trying to do that. But sometimes, life is a little busy and I don't always remember to go outside but I'm trying. Some time later today, I want to read my book outside. It's a really nice and sunny day and I want to enjoy it as much as I can. I know there are chores I need to do but it's nice to just take time and relax and to enjoy the great outdoors.
Looking at this picture, feels like a fan caught a perfectly candid moment between actors Ronen Rubinstein and Rafael Silva today at the Dream It Not At Home Convention in Paris, France. This is an amazing shot.
Happy Weekend! Do you have any plans for the weekend? Do any of them include watching new movies? Well, I have two for you: My Grown-Up Christmas List and Thor: Love and Thunder.
Although, I'm not even remotely in the Christmas spirit but I know a lot of you who are, there's a new Hallmark Christmas movie premiering tonight. My Grown Up Christmas List is a romantic dramedy that centers on the relationship between Taylor and Luke that grows over time. Since, I'm not a Christmas in July sort of person, I'm going to tape this and watch it later.
As for the second movie, Thor: Love and Thunder, I really want to see this movie. I know I was being a little negative about it when the teaser trailer was first released but I've since changed my mind about it. And I really do want to see it, however, I won't be able to see it today since I didn't buy a ticket in advance and the theatre is sold out for today and tomorrow. I'm going to try and see if I can go sometime during the week or next weekend. So until then, I'm going to have a mini MCU marathon throughout the week where I'll watch all three Thor movies and the two Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
So, what movies are you watching this weekend?
My Grown-Up Christmas List 8:00 PM EST Hallmark Channel
Starring: Kayla Wallace, Kevin McGarry, Cory Lee, Colton Royce, Susan Hamann, Lindsay Merrithew, James M Jenkinson, Dave Rose and more
Director: Andrew Cymek
Writers: Bryar Freed and Shawn Riopelle
Based On: the song My Grown-Up Christmas List by Amy Grant and David Foster
Description:
Taylor Nichols, a journalist, and Luke Luke Malone, in the military, share a special bond that grows between them over the course of several Christmases that they spend together and apart.
Natalie Portman surprised fans at the Rome, Italy Premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder, how cool is that? I will admit, initially I haven't been that excited to see this movie. However, lately I've started to change my mind because I'm actually looking forward to seeing Thor: Love and Thunder. It might be really bad but it could also be really good, and as a Thor fan I want to know how the story will unfold. Will the MCU now have two Thors or will it somehow end with only one? So I think it'll be at least interesting to see the outcome of this story.
I found this book Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger and it seems really interesting. It follows Sophie, a telepathic girl, who is trying to understand who she is and the new world that she found herself in. I wonder what the secrets are that she need to remember as well as if Fitz will be someone she can really trust? I'm going to add this to my list because I want to read it.
Book:Keeper of the Lost Cities (Keeper of the Lost Cities book #1) by Shannon Messenger
Description:
In this riveting series opener, a telepathic girl must figure out why she is the key to her brand-new world before the wrong person finds the answer first.
Twelve-year-old Sophie Foster has a secret. She’s a Telepath—someone who hears the thoughts of everyone around her. It’s a talent she’s never known how to explain.
Everything changes the day she meets Fitz, a mysterious boy who appears out of nowhere and also reads minds. She discovers there’s a place she does belong, and that staying with her family will place her in grave danger. In the blink of an eye, Sophie is forced to leave behind everything and start a new life in a place that is vastly different from anything she has ever known.
Sophie has new rules to learn and new skills to master, and not everyone is thrilled that she has come “home.” There are secrets buried deep in Sophie’s memory—secrets about who she really is and why she was hidden among humans—that other people desperately want. Would even kill for.
Ana:There's Sheila and Charlie Burns in El Paso, Sheila and Charlie Young in Phoenix, and Sheila and Charlie Watts of Santa Fe. It's him, the same kid every time, just with different last names and different cities.
Eddie:Charlie did say they moved around a lot. That would explain the different accounts and different cities, but not the different names.
Carla: What did his mom say his illness was?
Eddie:She didn't. Not really. Said it was autoimmune.
Carla:Well, that's awfully general. Charlie did say he goes to a lot of different doctors. Could be doctor shopping. Which is what you do when you're not really sick, you're just looking for a doctor to say that you are.
Eddie:You think she's lying?
Ana:Well, we wouldn't be the only ones. Most of the Fund Me pages were shut down, but the comments are still up.
Eddie:"This woman is a fraud and a scammer. Do not trust her". "She's a con artist looking for money and attention". Oh, God.
Carla:What?
Eddie:"I think she's making her kid sick."
~ Eddie Diaz, Dr. Ana Flores and Carla Price, 9-1-1 season 4 episode 13: Suspicion
I think this scene is one of the few times, the writers made Dr. Ana Flores seem interesting with her uncovering important information about Charlie and his mother Sheila. Because throughout the fourth and early part of the fifth season they really didn't give the actress Gabrielle Walsh much to work with. And Ana ended up appearing on screen as little more than a cardboard cut out (which I think was intentional). The other times Ana was even remotely interesting were when she was first introduced in the third season 12th episode Fools and in her final scene in the fifth season 3rd episode Desperate Measures. Those were the rare instances where she was able to stand out in a scene.
However, I think the purpose of Dr. Ana Flores was for Eddie to get back into dating following the death of his wife Shannon. He needed to see what he want and didn't want in a relationship. I don't think Ana was supposed to really stand out because if she was the writers would have done that. It makes me think that this was a relationship between them that was never going to work out and that Ana was supposed to be rather bland and invisible. I think that was a point the writers were trying to make because although, Dr. Ana Flores seemed like she would be perfect for Eddie but in truth she was not what he was truly looking for romantically.
My point in writing this, was that I really liked this scene with Ana, Eddie and Carla figuring out that Charlie's mom Sheila was intentionally making him sick in order to get money. This was just a good scene especially in its entirety that showed Ana actually getting a chance to be interesting.
I know this is an ad for a British insurance company but I just adore Valkyrie. And this video makes wish there was a Valkyrie short film that could be included as a feature or extra for the Thor: Love and Thunder DVD/Blu-ray. Especially since there's not a lot of fun extras for DVD/Blu-rays anymore. Anyway, watch this commercial that feels like the beginning of a short film.
Happy Monday, Fourth Day of the Month (formerly known as the 4th of July)!
I'm not feeling the holiday spirit which is why I'm not celebrating Independence Day or the 4th of July. Because what is there to celebrate? It's become meaningless especially with the steady and continuous loss of our rights. That doesn't seem like something to celebrate, does it? That certainly doesn't feel like independence to me. This is a sentiment, I've seen expressed a lot online. And many are saying they are going to do some of the following instead of celebrating:
- Boycotting the holiday
- Wearing either green or black to lament the loss of our rights
- Going to protest around the country
- Going to go on a monetary strike (by not buying anything today, tomorrow and even longer)
Since I'm celebrating Monday, the Fourth Day of the Month, I created a Geeky Holiday List to celebrate. It features the fourth episode of each season of several shows. I couldn't list all the shows in Labels, so scroll through and see if it's something on here you might want to watch.

It's the weekend! What movies are you watching? There's two new ones that I'm interested in seeing: Minions: The Rise of Gru and Mr. Malcolm's List. I absolutely love the minions, I never get tired of them. Which is why I want to see the latest movie, Minions: The Rise of Gru, it's a prequel to the Despicable Me movies. And it seems like it'll be really good.
As for the second movie, Mr. Malcolm's List, although it's based on the book of the same title written by Suzanne Allain, it has a Jane Austen feel to it. The trailer really has me interested in seeing it because the story seem very intriguing.
What movies are you watching this weekend?

The untold story of one twelve-year-old's dream to become the world's greatest supervillain.
This summer sure is flying by. I can't believe it's already July and not to be overlooked, July is Disability Pride Month!
Society has a weird way of treating certain people as if they're invisible and disabled people are very much included in that. And it doesn't help that a lot of buildings and cities are not as accessible as they should be. Where is the equality for disabled people?
Which is why Disability Pride Month was created, it's a way to promote visibility, honor the diversity within disability and celebrate the uniqueness and the positivity within disability. I really love that more disabled characters are being shown in various media because being disabled is normal. And some writers are doing a good job of showing the joy and happiness in their lives and not just the everyday struggles and hardship. Because you know what, everyone in the world goes through all of that, whether abled or disabled.
Which is why I want to wish everyone especially my disabled readers a very Happy Disability Pride Month!
