What's On Tonight: Lopez vs Lopez, The Cleaning Lady, Will Trent, Alert: Missing Persons Unit and The Rookie

Happy Tuesday! What are you watching tonight?

First is the comedy Lopez vs Lopez, as much as I find Josué to be an interesting love interest. I feel like it's too soon for Rosie and him to be engaged. Although Rosie said that her and Josué have been dating for six months (secretly), however, we as the viewers have only seen him for three episodes up until this point. It just feels way too soon. Plus, he just seems too good to be true. And in tonight's first episode, it looks like George thinks Josué is hiding something and I'm interested to find out what it is. The second episode centers around the family having a therapy to sort of out some issues.

Now for the dramas and procedurals: The Cleaning Lady, Will Trent, Alert: Missing Persons Unit and The Rookie are back tonight with new episodes. Since I'll watching Lopez vs Lopez, I'll tape The Cleaning Lady and Will Trent. The Cleaning Lady is always intense but it's such a good show and I just love how quirky and annoying Will Trent is. I can't wait to watch both episodes later. As for the last two: Alert: Missing Persons Unit and The Rookie, I need to figure out which one to tape or watch. I love watching both shows but I'll figure it out.

8:00 PM EST

Lopez vs Lopez season 2 episode 9: Lopez Vs Confessions                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 NBC

Description:

George thinks Rosie's fiancé might be hiding an unholy secret, so he goes undercover to get him to confess and expose the truth. With wedding bells in the air, Chance puts pressure on Mayan and Quinten about why they're not married.

My New Buck and Eddie Blog

I love watching 9-1-1 and Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz and Evan "Buck" Buckley are two of my favorite characters. As well as being one of my favorite ships (even if they are currently non-canon) and the little family they created with Eddie's son Christopher. Which is why I created my new blog, Truly Outrageous Buck and Eddie. I created it because I didn't want to overload Book Girl with so many Eddie and Buck posts. However, I will still be posting stuff about them on here. It's just that the majority of my posts will be over there.

Since, I created Truly Outrageous Buck and Eddie yesterday, it's going to take me a little while to build it up. It's a work in progress. However, I do have a few posts there already. So, I just thought I would let you know and you can check it out if you want to.

(9-1-1 season 5 episode 1: Panic)

Video: When Tony Stark Met "Natalie Rushman" (Iron Man 2)

In Iron Man 2, this scene was Natasha Romanoff a.k.a. Black Widow's first appearance in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). She was working undercover at Stark Industries as Natalie Rushman. I love this scene because despite Tony trying to appear intimidating, Natasha didn't let it bother her at all. And as skilled of a fighter as she is, it was second nature to quickly take down Happy. He really thought he was going to teach her something about boxing or self-defense. I guess he learned a lesson about underestimating someone.

When you're taking a break from being online, how do you like to spend your time?

Sometimes you just need a minute (or two) to unplug. Whether it's five minutes, 10 minutes or a few hours, taking time away from the internet is a good thing. So, when you take a break from being online, what are some of the things you enjoy doing?

Below are 10 things I like to do when I take a digital break:

1. Get cozy on the sofa while reading a book. Along with drinking a hot cup of tea.

2. Go for a walk or exercise. Walking is usually good enough for me but there are times when I want to lift some weights or do resistance training.

3. Hang out with friends. During the weekend, I like to meet up with my friends for coffee (well tea for me) and lunch and catch up.

4. Watch a movie or a few episodes from a TV show.

5. Self-care. From giving myself a manicure to putting on a face mask it's good to make time to pamper yourself.

6. Listen to music. Sometimes, I just sit down, relax and listen to some of my favorite music. Or find new or different songs or artists to listen to.

7. If it's the weekend, I like to go to the museum. I like to take my time and walk around and look at all the beautiful art.

8. Hobbies. I don't always have to time to draw or paint but taking breaks from being online totally gives me time to focus on one of my favorite hobbies.

9. Journal or meditate. Sometimes, I just have to clear my mind. So I will either write down all my thoughts or meditate to quiet my mind.

10. Bake cookies. I love to bake cookies whether from scratch from a recipe or with pre-made dough. For me, baking cookies is so relaxing and your home smells nice. Plus, I have snacks for #4 when I watch movies and shows.

Entertainment News #50: NCIS: Hawai'i and Tracker

- CBS has cancelled NCIS: Hawai'i after three season. This is yet another show the network has recently cancelled. Although, my favorite out of the NCIS franchise was NCIS: Los Angeles but Hawai'i was quickly becoming one of favorites. I'm sad to the see the show end, it was a good addition to the franchise. I'm starting to wonder what's the point of having the Paramount Plus streaminng service if CBS can't move some of their shows over there instead of cancelling them?

I wonder if the show's creator can try to get the show saved by another network or streaming service, probably not. So this is most likely truly the end for this show. The season will end with a two part finale, the first part airs tonight with episode Spill the Tea at 10:00 PM EST on CBS. And next Monday (May 6th) will conclude with the final episode Divided We Conquer (which is now the series finale).

- Continuing with CBS, actor Jensen Ackles has been cast as a guest star for the 12th episode of the TV series Tracker. He will play Russell Shaw, the brother to main character Colter (played by Justin Hartley). The episode Off the Books will air Sunday, May 12th on CBS. I've never watched Tracker which is based on the Colter Shaw book series by Jeffery Deaver (who also wrote the Lincoln Rhyme book series). Maybe I'll start watching it this week, so I'll be caught up for the new episode on Sunday.

(Tracker season 1 episode 12: Off the Books)

Quote: Maddie, Buck and Eddie (+ a mini Fashion Meets Fandom Costume Analysis)

Maddie: Why are you dressed like that?

Buck: Uh, it was a-a themed party.

Maddie: What was it, pastel and puke?

Buck: No, '80s. I'm Crockett. He's Tubbs.

Eddie: He's Tubbs. I'm Crockett. And this isn't my puke. I don't think.

Maddie: Okay, whatever, can you just go and get changed. You're over half an hour late. Uh... Where's Chimney?

Buck: It's complicated.

~ Maddie Buckley, Evan "Buck" Buckley and Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz, 9-1-1 season 7 episode 5: You Don't Know Me

I still can't get over Buck and Eddie not only showing up late to Buck's sister Maddie Buckley and Howard "Chimney" Han's wedding. But looking like that (see gifs below). However, most importantly they somehow lost Chimney. And from looking at the trailer for the sixth episode (which airs on Thursday), I guess they partied way too hard during Chimney's bachelor party to notice he wasn't even with them. But if they knew the wedding was the next day, why did they choose to go all out like this? They were partying as if it was their bachelor party and not Chimney's. I hope when the time comes for Buck and Eddie to get married, Chimney will throw them a big bachelor party and celebrate as if it was his own party.

Currently Reading: From Twinkle, with Love

After finishing the sci-fi book The Fever Code by James Dashner, I wanted to read something different. Still in the young adult range but this time I'm going with the romantic comedy, From Twinkle, with Love by Sandhya Menon. It follows Twinkle Mehra, who is an aspiring filmmaker trying to create a movie for a film festival. And according to the description, she may find romance with a mysterious guy or with her friend Sahil. So, this has the arts and romance, hopefully both experiences will lead to something good for her. I really can't wait to start reading this.

Book: From Twinkle, with Love by Sandhya Menon

Description:

Three starred reviews for this charming romantic comedy about an aspiring teen filmmaker who finds her voice and falls in love, from the New York Times bestselling author of When Dimple Met Rishi.

Aspiring filmmaker and wallflower Twinkle Mehra has stories she wants to tell and universes she wants to explore, if only the world would listen. So when fellow film geek Sahil Roy approaches her to direct a movie for the upcoming Summer Festival, Twinkle is all over it. The chance to publicly showcase her voice as a director? Dream come true. The fact that it gets her closer to her longtime crush, Neil Roy—a.k.a. Sahil’s twin brother? Dream come true x 2.

When mystery man “N” begins emailing her, Twinkle is sure it’s Neil, finally ready to begin their happily-ever-after. The only slightly inconvenient problem is that, in the course of movie-making, she’s fallen madly in love with the irresistibly adorkable Sahil.

Twinkle soon realizes that resistance is futile: The romance she’s got is not the one she’s scripted. But will it be enough?

Told through the letters Twinkle writes to her favorite female filmmakers, From Twinkle, with Love navigates big truths about friendship, family, and the unexpected places love can find you.

Art of the Day: X-Men

Artwork: X-Men by Stephen Byrne

Actor David Walton gives his thoughts on 9-1-1's Eddie Diaz (and the connection to New Girl)

If you're a New Girl fan do you remember the episode Wedding Eve (season 5 episode 21)? Throughout the episode Jess Day thought her boyfriend Sam Sweeney was going to propose but in the end they ended up breaking up. When he asked why she didn't want to marry him, Jess gave a simple answer that she didn't know. Sam said that she knew but didn't want to say it. But she was still adamant that she didn't know. So, while Sam was in the elevator and as the doors were closing, he told Jess the truth, "its Nick." I posted the scene below.

I still remember when I first watched this episode and that scene. I recall gasping because I couldn't believe he said that to her. Although, we as the viewers know that Jess has feelings for Nick. She had been doing her best to ignore or deny it. But hearing that from Sam, it caught her totally off guard. And she was just stunned standing in the hallway. I guess deep down Sam knew that her heart was with Nick and not him. And she needed to know that.

Okay, I mention all of this because David Walton, the actor who played Sam responded to someone's cameo question about 9-1-1 character Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz. I posted the video below. Eddie truly is in need of his own elevator moment to realize where his heart is. And that's with Evan "Buck" Buckley. David pretty much said what so many of us Eddie fans have been saying because Eddie does so many things out of obligation or what he think is best for his son Christopher.

He only married his late wife Shannon because she got pregnant. And he only dated Dr. Ana Flores because his son liked her since she was Christopher former English teacher. And Marisol, I feel like he's only with her because his Tia Pepa made him feel like he was lonely and he needed to start dating so he didn't wind up alone. And Marisol was just some random woman he reconnected with at a hardware store believing he found something "magical".

Eddie has truly never been in love with any of the women he's been with. And from the story the show has been telling, the only person Eddie has been all in with is Buck. That is where his heart truly is and I hope that the 9-1-1 Showrunner and writers will stop wasting so much time on this bland and lackluster relationship between Eddie and Marisol. It's really dragging down Eddie's seventh season storyline. A more compelling storyline for Eddie would have been him as a 30-something trying to figure out his sexuality. Which would explain why he never seems to truly connect romantically with women. I would truly love to know where Eddie's story is going during this seventh season because so far it's been a complete dud.

What's On Tonight: S.W.A.T.

Happy Friday! What are you watching tonight?

There's only one new show for me tonight: S.W.A.T. I can't believe this will be David "Deacon" Kay final episode. Unless, Deacon changes his mind about retiring. I'm sure the cast and crew had no idea CBS would renew the show for an eighth season especially after it was saved from being cancelled. So unless all those actors wanted to leave the show, I do hope some of the characters will return for the eighth season.

8:00 PM EST

S.W.A.T. season 7 episode 10: SNAFU                               8:00 PM EST                                          CBS

Description:

The squad scrambles to track down a cold-blooded sniper terrorizing Los Angeles. Tan finds himself questioning his leadership abilities. Powell and Alfaro compete in a classic game of S.W.A.T. tag.

Art of the Day: Barbie

Most Memorable Scene: Highway Fight Scene (Captain America: The Winter Soldier)

I absolutely love Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It's been forever since I've seen this movie and I can't believe it's been 10 years since it was released in theatres on April 4, 2014. It's just crazy how time just flies by. But you know what, it still holds up as an amazing movie. Anyway, this is the perfect spy/espionage thriller. It follows as Captain America, Nick Fury, Black Widow and Falcon uncovering a terrifying secret that Hydra was in control of S.H.I.E.L.D. and as well as having infiltrated the US government.

Now for this scene, the highway scene was so unexpected because they were totally ambushed by Hydra. And Hydra was going to do whatever it took to take them out. It didn't matter if there were people around they were nothing more than casualties. Which is sad but not unexpected. Despite Captain America, Black Widow and Falcon being out numbered and dealing with a lot fire power, that didn't stop them. Which unfortunately they were temporarily captured by Hydra but it didn't last long thanks to Maria Hill. I'm really going to have re-watch this movie.

What's On Tonight: Young Sheldon, Ghosts, So Help Me Todd and Elsbeth

It's Thursday, what are you watching tonight?

For me, it's the same as last week, another CBS line up. On Young Sheldon, I hope Georgie and Mandy can save up enough money to get their own place. I really don't like Mandy's mom and her passive-aggressive behavior towards Georgie. On Ghosts, I wonder just how much Pete's new powers will change things. And if he can now go out into the world, it's definitely going to be a rude awakening for him.

I still can't believe So Help Me Todd is cancelled, this is such a good show. Anyway, Margaret and Todd are going to be helping a guy who somehow was declared dead, when he's not. I wonder what the motive is for this and who is behind it. And finally on Elsbeth, a very well know plastic surgeon is murdered. Which will have Elsbeth investigating the crime.

8:00 PM EST

Young Sheldon season 7 episode 9: A Fancy Article And A Scholarship For A Baby                               8:00 PM EST                                          CBS

Description:

Sheldon's published paper leads to a frenzy of grad school recruiting. Georgie tries to speak more properly in front of his daughter.

Quote: Maddie Buckley (9-1-1)

I don’t think you’re a fraud. I just think that maybe you’re not sure of your own feelings yet. And if there’s something you need to tell Eddie, you will. In your own time.

~ Maddie Buckley to her brother Evan "Buck" Buckley, 9-1-1 season 7 episode 5: You Don't Know Me

I really hope Maddie's words are foreshadowing for Buck in him realizing he has feelings for Eddie. And that at some point it will eventually lead to them going canon.

Video: 9-1-1 cast try to guess the season of the episode

Here is a fun video of some of the cast from 9-1-1 trying to see if they can correctly guess the season for each episode. I'm surprised they got so many wrong. But I guess as fans, we probably remember the episodes and seasons they aired in more than the actors probably do. To them it's a job. While for us fans, it's our favorite show and we remember so many things about it. Something, I found funny was that none of them could remember the season for Home Invasion which was the episode that the transphobic actress who plays Marisol first appeared in. Maybe they wanted to forget about her as well.

Watching this video now has me totally excited for when some of the cast will be on an upcoming episode of Celebrity Family Feud that will air this summer. I wonder who they will be playing against and if they will win? Hopefully, they will be better at answering the questions on the game show than they were at guessing the seasons to 9-1-1 episodes.

What's On Tonight: Walker, Not Dead Yet and Animal Control

Happy Wednesday! What are you watching tonight?

I'm going to make sure to post these What's On Tonight posts earlier and not so close to when the shows air. Okay for tonight, it's just three shows: Walker, Not Dead Yet and Animal Control.

On Walker, the Jackal case is going to be a big undertaking and it just might cause trouble between Walker's friendship with Captain James. I wonder what shocking realization Stella is going to have. I'm sure it has something to do with whomever is stalking her. As for Not Dead Yet, it's the season finale and it looks like in these back-to-back episodes, Nell is going to try to save the newspaper from being sold. And finally for Animal Control, Shred is going to meet a mysterious woman. I wonder if this is going to be a new love interest? I guess the show is going with an extremely slow burn with Shred and Emily but I wish it wasn't taking forever but I understand the writers are trying to build something slowly between them. So it will probably be some time before they go canon. I just have to wait (which I don't want to).

Again, I'll make sure to post my What's On Tonight posts early.

8:00 PM EST

Walker season 4 episode 4: Insane B.S. And Bloodshed                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 The CW

Description:

Walker's lies about the Jackal case finally catch up to him, testing his friendship with his old partner, Capt. James. Cassie works a lead in the Jackal case alongside Detective Luna and learns a hard lesson. Stella makes a shocking realization.

What's On Tonight: Lopez vs Lopez

Happy Tuesday! What are you watching tonight?

There is surprisingly only one show that's new tonight, Lopez vs Lopez. This show is so funny, I love how this show centers around this fun disfunctional family. And despite any issues or ridiculousness they find themselves in, they can always count on each other to help. Or to make the situation worse but turn it around to help fix whatever issue or problem they made worse.

In tonight's back-to-back episodes, the Lopez family seems to be dealing with a lot of romance issues: George possibly jealous of Rosie's new boyfriend in the first episode. While George has a new possible love interest in the second episode. Meanwhile, it looks like Chance may be a genius and his parent may not know how to deal with it. And in the second episode, Chance seems to be protective of his grandmother Rosie. I wonder if he is being protective because he think his grandmother is spending more time with her new boyfriend and maybe not as much time with him. I can't wait to watch tonight's episodes.

Do you watch Lopez vs Lopez?

8:00 PM EST

Description:

When George's vivid dreams reveal he has feelings for Rosie, he avoids sleeping and gets distracted at work. When Chance tests at a genius-level IQ, Mayan and Quinten fear that they're a couple of dum-dums.

8:30 PM EST

Lopez vs Lopez season 2 episode 8: Lopez vs Lisa                            8:30 PM EST                                           NBC

Art of the Day: Maddie, Jee-Yun and Chimney (9-1-1)

Artwork: Maddie, Jee-Yun and Chimney by buckleyhan-art

As much as I'm looking forward to Maddie and Chimney's upcoming wedding, I just wish for once 9-1-1 didn't have to make everything so dramatic and out there. I wish Chimney and Maddie got to have that beautiful dream wedding instead of the typical disastrous one with apparently Chimney possibly being abducted and they have to try to find him.

I know The Rookie somewhat recently had a wedding episode The Hammer (season 6 episode 2) with Bailey Nun and John Nolan getting married. And the wedding was absolutely sweet and lovely and romantic. So the 9-1-1 writers probably don't want to go in that direction and plus the show isn't usually know for having normal moments. I wouldn't be surprised if Maddie and Chimney probably end up getting married at the hospital after Chimney is found. I guess I was hoping that their wedding day would be romantic and special. These two have been through a lot and having something that wasn't a complete disaster would have been wonderful for them. I'm sure the writers are going to give them an interesting wedding but I just wish it wasn't going to be in the usual 9-1-1 fashion.

Most Memorable Scene: The Avatar Returns (Avatar: The Last Airbender (Netflix))

I'm usually not a big fan of live-action versions of animated shows and movies but I'm trying not to be stodgy or set in my ways because I just might miss out on something. Anyway, I'm really glad I gave the live-action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender a chance because it turned out to be a really good adaptation. I'm looking forward to seeing what they will do with the second and third seasons.

I like this scene from the first episode because although it's a different take on how Sokka and Katara found the ice bubble that held Avatar Aang. And how he was freed, in the animated series Katara hit the ice bubble with a weapon. While in the live action, I think it was due to her waterbending to try to get their boat. Either way, Katara was the reason he was freed from the ice, it was just a bit more dramatic in the animated series.

Entertainment News #49: Cancelled Shows, S.W.A.T. and Book Adaptation

- It's disappointing to hear that CBS has cancelled So Help Me Todd and CSI: Vegas. I love watching So Help Me Todd it's just a fun and quirky mystery series. Although, I haven't been posting my What's On Tonight for Sunday (I will), I have been really enjoying watching CSI: Vegas. I don't understand why both of these shows are simply cancelled instead of just moving them over to Paramount Plus.

Both shows have fans and viewers that love these shows so why just outright cancel them. Instead of just relocating them which would continue to give the shows more time to gain more viewers. These are two good shows that I'm sad to see cancelled. Unrelated (or is it?) but I feel like with so many shows constantly being cancelled, this is one of the reasons so many viewers have been watching and rewatching old shows. Why get invested in new shows if these networks and streaming services won't allow them time to grow.

Comparison and Foreshadow: Tim and Lucy (The Rookie) and Buck and Eddie (9-1-1)

I love when similarities are pointed out between characters or relationships. These scenes are just so interesting from the similar phrases to the way they were filmed. I want to thank livelovecaliforniadreams for putting these scenes together.

The phrasing of Timothy "Tim" Bradford words to Lucy Chen in The Rookie episode Day in the Hole (season 4 episode 22) was so right on the nose. It was foreshadowing, that's for sure. Although, Tim was talking about them being better prepared for undercover work. It perfectly fit their then current situation where their relationship was slowly progressing towards something romantic. However, they needed more time for it to develop which would give it more depth and meaning. They would eventually go canon in the fifth season.

The same can be said for the phrasing of what Evan "Buck" Buckley said to Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz in the 9-1-1 episode You Don't Know Me (season 7 episode 5). Buck might have been referring to Eddie being at work early but it also perfectly goes with Eddie being too early as Buck's love interest. Although, Buck recently realized he was bisexual, Eddie still hasn't figured out his sexuality just yet. So unfortunately it's still too soon for them to get together. But I really hope this is foreshadowing for Buck and and Eddie and it will eventually lead to them going canon.

Weekend Films: Abigail, Sasquatch Sunset, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Falling in Love in Niagara

Happy Saturday! What movies are you watching this weekend?

Abigail is definitely a must see for me. They kidnapped a little girl that turned out to be a vampire. Sasquatch Sunset looks so weird and ridiculous that I have to see it. I've been hearing that it's a gross movie but so are horror movies, so it shouldn't be an issue. As for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, it looks like an interesting action movie that's set in World War II. The last movie, Falling in Love in Niagara is a romantic comedy that follows Madeline who was dumped before her wedding possibly finding love on her would be honeymoon to Niagara.

All of these movies look good but I don't know if I have time today to go to the theatre. I'm going to try and see if I can go tomorrow. But I'm definitely going to watch Falling in Love in Niagara tonight.

Fashion Meets Fandom Video: Mayan Lopez selling her unwanted gifts from her mother (Lopez vs Lopez)

I wonder if there are a lot of mothers and daughters who have similar styles. I know my style is different from my mom's, it's not drastic but it's still different. Which reminded me of the Lopez vs Lopez episode Lopez Vs Swap Meet (season 2 episode 3). In that episode, Mayan Lopez wasn't very honest with her mother Rosie about how she's not fond of her mother's style. Which is the opposite with Rosie, she quite often tells Mayan she doesn't like her style and is always trying to suggest ways to "upgrade" her daughter's style.

And from the video below, you can see that over the years her mother has given Mayan a lot of very interesting fashion pieces with most of them in various animal prints. I would describe Rosie's style as being a very bold, flamboyant sophistication. And her wardrobe consists of mostly dresses, pencil skirts, belts, blazers and tops in bold colors (there are surprisingly a few neutral colors), patterns and prints (animal and dark florals). And all of that paired with heels and boots (chunky, platform and stiletto). While Mayan's style is casual chic with mostly jeans, sweaters, flowy dresses, cute tops, jackets and gym shoes. So their styles are very different.

What I liked about this story is that by the end of the episode they both learned a little something about each other and Mayan also learned about being honest. Especially after Mayan's son Chance not only told his grandmother what his mother thought of her fashion style. I just love his line "we're selling the whole zoo", that's so funny. But he also told his mother that he no longer liked their "cool" secret handshake which kind of hurt Mayan's feelings. But she got a better understanding about being truthful. Which she should have been with her mother instead of trying to sell all of those unwanted fashionable gifts at a swap meet.

What's On Tonight: Young Sheldon, Ghosts, So Help Me Todd and Elsbeth

It's Thursday, what are you watching tonight?

For me, it's just the CBS line up because the other shows I watch are either repeats or are not being shown. So for tonight it's Young Sheldon, Ghosts, So Help Me Todd and Elsbeth.

So for Young Sheldon, I can't believe Sheldon is going to represent his grandmother. Well, she was conducting illegal gambling, it will be interesting see how much law information Sheldon gains to try to help her. On Ghosts, I doubt Sam and Jay will have a relaxing and romantic weekend getaway but we'll see. On So Help Me Todd, Todd and his brother Lawrence are on a case and I wonder if it's connected to their mother's. And finally Elsbeth, there's murder in the world of tennis. I really love how the mysteries unfold it's so much like Columbo. And if you're a fan of the old detective TV series, I think you'll really enjoy watching a modern take on it.

This is what I'll be watching, what shows are you watching?

8:00 PM EST

Young Sheldon season 7 episode 8: An Ankle Monitor And A Big Plastic Crap House                               8:00 PM EST                                          CBS

Description:

Sheldon studies to be Meemaw's lawyer when she is put on house arrest. The Coopers have a plumbing emergency.

Fashion Meets Comics - Costume Analysis: Lois Lane (Superman & Lois)

I don't know how I missed actress Elizabeth "Bitsie" Tulloch posting Superman & Lois behind the scene pictures on Instagram last month (well Instagram is pretty wonky with not always showing posts). Anyway, she posted some upcoming fourth (and final) season outfits for Lois Lane. I believe both outfits are for a flashback episode or scenes.

Edit to add: Happy 86th Anniversary, Lois Lane and Clark Kent/Superman. Thankfully, this time I didn't completely forget.

Throwback Thursday: Scarlet Witch and Vision vs Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive (Avengers: Infinity War)

I remember when I saw Avengers: Infinity War in the theatre and seeing Scarlet Witch and Vision being so caught off guard and not being able to really go up against Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive. But it was like a total pin drop when Captain America, Falcon and Black Widow showed up to save them. I think it was a combination of seeing Wanda and Vision losing so terribly to the shock of seeing who showed up to help them. Avengers: Infinity War is still one of my favorite movies, it was just so fantastic.

Most Memorable Scene: Eddie understanding Buck (9-1-1)

Eddie: Show-off.

Buck: I had to do it.

Eddie: I know you did.

~ Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz and Evan "Buck" Buckley, 9-1-1 season 4 episode 5: Buck Begins

I just love this scene and moment between Eddie and Buck, because these simple little words really showed how much Eddie knows Buck and why he does the things he does. Even more so when what he's doing is dangerous. In the episode Buck Begins, Buck defied Incident Commander Fire Captain Jeshan Mehta's orders to evacuate. He heroically risked his life in order to find and rescue the last remaining worker, Saleh who was trapped in a raging fire in a hand sanitizer factory. And bad turned to worse, when Buck and Saleh became trapped. But just when it seemed like it was the end for both of them, Buck's team, the 118, with Eddie in the lead reached him and Saleh in time to rescue them.

To me it doesn't go unnoticed that Eddie really knows and understands Buck and what drives him to do what he does. To know and love someone on such a deeper level, that's just simply wonderful. See this is why I have been and will continue to root for these two to get their chance to go canon. They're really perfect for each other.

What's On Tonight: Walker, Not Dead Yet, Abbott Elementary and Animal Control

Happy Wednesday! What are you watching tonight?

I think tonight's episode of Walker looks good. I know Walker is giving his daughter Stella space to figure things out on her own. But she's dealing with a lot and he might want to check on her. Especially since it seems like someone might be stalker her. I wonder if his son August is going to regret joining boot camp, I bet it's way more intense than he thought it would be.

On Not Dead Yet, it looks like Nell, Lexi, Cricket and Sam are having girls' night to celebrate Sam's divorce. I hope the writing will give Sam time to be single before they eventually introduce a new love interest. In the second part of the description, it says that Nell is making plans for her future. I wonder if that means she looking for career advancement with maybe seeing if she can write an occasional news article. Or is it something to do with her love life which at the moment she doesn't really have one. So, maybe she's looking to start dating again. I guess I'll find out.

On Abbott Elementary, I really don't want Janine to take the job at the District full-time. I miss her being at Abbott Elementary but if this is the path they want her character to go, I hope she will still show up at Abbott more often. I also will continue to hope that Janine and Gregory get a chance to go canon. Their chemistry is just too good to pass on.

And last is Animal Control, I can't believe Frank is going to let Emily set him up on a date. I still wish back in the first season, the writers had let Frank and the Hot Vet (a.k.a. Dr. Summers) at least go on a date to see if there could be a potential romance or something between them. I thought they would have been great but the writers made sure to end all possibilities of this ever happening. And so far it doesn't seem like Dr. Summers is in the second season, so I not sure who Frank will end up with in the series. Probably Victoria but I just see them more as friends.

8:00 PM EST

Walker season 4 episode 3: Lessons From The Gift Shop                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 The CW

Description:

Trey and Liam try to help Walker figure out his next steps with Geri. Liam confides in Walker that he's worried about Stella. Stella and Sadie look into recent events. August begins his bootcamp training and it is not what he expected.

Art of the Day: Station 19

The seventh season of Station 19 has been so good which makes it so frustrating that this show was cancelled. The writing, the storylines, the acting, eveything has been amazing. I really wish another network or streaming service would pick this show up. It's far too good to stay cancelled.

Here is the link to the Save Station petition and it's currently at over 86,000 signatures and counting. Please, sign and share it.

What's On Tonight: Lopez vs Lopez, The Cleaning Lady and Alert: Missing Persons Unit

Happy Tuesday!

What are you watching tonight? There's only three shows that are new and since I want to watch something funny tonight, I'm going to watch Lopez vs Lopez. I'll tape The Cleaning Lady and later I'll watch Alert: Missing Persons Unit. I really love watching all three of these shows, which is why I hope they will all be renewed.

8:00 PM EST

Lopez vs Lopez season 2 episode 5: Lopez vs Let It Go                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 NBC

Buddie Week: Day #7: When Buck Met Eddie

I wasn't sure how to close out my first Buddie Week, so I figured I would go back to the beginning with the 9-1-1 season 2 first episode Under Pressure. This is the episode that not only introduced Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz to the show but also through Evan "Buck" Buckley's point of view.

Throughout the episode Buck's jealousy was on full display and he was being a jerk towards Eddie instead of welcoming him to the team. Buck might have felt threatened about his position on the team because during the early parts of his probationary period, he was a bit of a screw up. And probably thought someone as competent as Eddie was being described would be much better at the job than him. But there was no need to take out his issues on Eddie. As Eddie said, they were on the same team.

Fashion Meets Fandom: Rugrats "Cynthia" Sweatshirt

I feel like you can never have too many cute sweatshirts. Especially cute fandom sweatshirts. Yes, I know, I don't need any more fandom clothes but how cute is this Rugrats sweatshirt. You can really tell Angelica Pickles really loved her Cynthia doll because of all the wear and tear, it's missing a lot of hair. I guess that's what happens when kids really love their toys.

Anyway, this is a cute sweatshirt and you can pair it with shorts, pants, jeans, skirts and leggings. I just wish there was a picture of a model shown wearing it to see how slouchy the sweatshirt is supposed to be.

Buddie Week: Day #6: Buck and Eddie: Dating Without Realizing It

Buck: You guys are... dating each other.

Chimney: That's crazy. We're... Friends who hang out.

Maddie: Yeah. Just hanging out.

Buck: No. Y-You're always talking or texting each other. You sing karaoke together. You do Buffridays, you finish each other's sentences. Guys, come on, you're a couple.

~ Evan "Buck" Buckley, Howard "Chimney" Han and Maddie Buckley, 9-1-1 season 2 episode 8: Buck, Actually

I wish Buck would remember his own words and realize that him and Eddie are a couple. Or at least have Maddie and Chimney remember and point it out to him. I love this gif set by Vic (bilosan) because it highlights Buck and Eddie's relationship and ties it back to what Buck said about Maddie and Chimney dating without realizing it. Which means according to his words, him and Eddie have been dating for quite some time. Now they just need someone to point it out to them so they can see it. And hopefully do something about it, such as finally start dating.

Weekend Films: Arcadian, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, Sting and Legend of the Lost Locket

Happy Saturday!

When do you like going to the movie? Are you a morning or evening movie goer? I love to get up early and go to the theatre. It's just something I enjoy, watching a movie early in the day. I'll go watch movies in the evening or at night but I just prefer going in the morning or as early as possible.

Anyway, what movies are you watching this weekend? There are four I want to see: horror (Arcadian and Sting), a comedy (Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead) and a romantic comedy (Legend of the Lost Locket). I love that horror movies are year round movies instead of mainly being released in the fall. Both Arcadian and Sting look creepy especially Sting since I don't like spiders but that's not going to stop me wanting to see it. I wonder what the creatures are in Arcadian? Are they mutated animals, people or something else? It will be interesting to find out.

As for the other two movies: Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead and Legend of the Lost Locket. I love watching the original Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead and this new one looks just as fun. Can you imagine being a kid trying to figure what to do after your babysitter died? I always thought the older sister did as best as could trying to take care of her siblings and work a demanding crazy job. So, yeah, I can't wait to see this. And finally, Legend of the Lost Locket is a romantic comedy (more like romantic quest) that follows an antiques expert who is looking for a special locket that supposed to bring true love. This looks like a cute movie, I can't wait to watch it tonight.

Theatre

Arcadian

Starring: Nicolas Cage, Jaeden Martell, Maxwell Jenkins, Sadie Soverall, Samantha Coughlan, Joe Dixon and more

Director: Benjamin Brewer

Writer: Mike Nilon

Description:

A father and his twin teenage sons fight to survive in a remote farmhouse at the end of the end of the world.

Buddie Week: Day 5: Art of the Day

Artwork: Buck and Eddie by Majel

Because, Evan, you came in here the other day and you said you thought it would have been better if it had been you who was shot. You act like you're expendable. But you're wrong.

~ Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz, 9-1-1 season 4 episode 14: Survivors

Fashion: A Cute Red Dress

With summer quickly approaching, I've been looking for cute summer clothes. I'm not really looking to buy a lot a just a few little pieces. This morning, I was scrolling through a few stores and saw a lot of cute things. But the only thing I ordered was this fit & flare red cami mini dress. I'm not an impulsive shopper (okay, well sometimes) but I thought it was so cute I just had to order it. It's a simple dress that I could easily see pairing it with a few of sweaters and jackets. I really hope it will look as cute on me as it does on the model. Maybe I'll post of picture of when it arrives.

Are the 9-1-1 season 7 post episode articles pointing towards a bigger story for Eddie and Buck?

I don't usually read a lot of post episode interviews and articles because I like to base the story on what is being shown on screen. However, I read through a few of the ones for 9-1-1 after the seventh season mid-season finale aired last night. I'm starting to get a sense that something big storywise is going to be happening for Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz and it will have nothing to do with that terrible relationship he's still stuck in with Marisol. Because despite trying to start over with her, I feel like this relationship will eventually end. Because yet again he's not following his heart, he's trying to force a romance with the wrong person. And despite trying to start over, it's already been shown that this relationship doesn't work. So when the relationship does finally end, I feel like Eddie is really going to be figuring out something about himself.

Buddie Week: Day #4: Video: Buck and Eddie: This is not a temporary love

This is one of my favorite fan edits of Buck and Eddie, it truly shows their connection to each other and to Christopher. If they ever went canon, I think this would be one of the most amazing relationships because you would have two best friends who have already created this beautiful bond while co-parenting Eddie's son. And adding a romance between them would only make their relationship even better. I just hope one day they will finally get a chance to go canon.

What's On Tonight: Young Sheldon, 9-1-1, Ghosts, So Help Me Todd, Elsbeth and Station 19

What are you watching tonight?

I thought last week's episode of Young Sheldon was going to be Georgie and Mandy's wedding but I guess it was just to build up to it. So tonight is finally the wedding. I love watching Ghosts because I love seeing all the ghosts still be able to live their lives in some compacity. So Help Me Todd is back tonight with what looks like an interesting opera murder mystery.

I'm really enjoying Elsbeth, the way the mysteries are set up remind me of the TV series Columbo. Although, I'm taping 9-1-1 to watch later, regardless of when I watch it I really don't want to see any of the scenes with Marisol, I hope she will be gone soon. I really hope there will be a scene where Eddie is starting to realize he has feelings for Buck. As for Station 19, tonight is the 100th episode and it looks like it's going to be tough for everyone. I hope Vic will seek help for her growing mental health issues. I can't wait to watch tonight's episode, which means I'll have to tape Elsbeth to watch later.

Buddie Week: Day #3: Eddie and Buck being Co-Parents in Future Tense

This scene from the 9-1-1 episode Future Tense (season 4 episode 3) has always been one of favorite scenes. Because it feels like a scene from a family sitcom showing a cozy domestic night between a couple, Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz and Evan "Buck" Buckley and their son, Christopher Diaz.

When Chris asks Buck if they can go to his apartment to play video games, Buck doesn't answer right away, instead he looks over to Eddie for him to answer the question. Which is understandable since Eddie is Chris’ father. However, Eddie doesn’t answer, instead he looks over at Buck and gives him a silent cue to answer the question in a responsible parental way. Eddie didn't want to be the "Bad Cop" this time. It was time for Buck to be the stern parent in this parental discussion.

Looking at this scene, it felt like I was watching two parents dealing with their son instead of a parent and his best friend. This scene really shows how the three of them have created this wonderful little family. It's just so interesting that whether they realized it or not at the time, Eddie and Buck had become co-parents to Christopher. And in this scene, Eddie is giving Buck equal parental responsibility to guide Chris and let him know that they will be going along with Eddie's decision in wanting to take a little break from using the internet. So, the only games that Chris will be playing are board games.

I can't wait for Eddie and Buck to go canon, so the three of them can officially become the family they are.

What's On Tonight: Walker, Not Dead Yet, Abbott Elementary and Animal Control

Happy Wednesday! What are you watching tonight?

Walker looks like it's going to be a fun episode with them trying to deal with a little old lady. It seems like she's going to give them so much trouble in trying to keep her safe. I'm adding Not Dead Yet to my Wednesday line up, I got caught up over the weekend. So, I'm ready to watch the new episodes. I'm happy that Abbott Elementary is finally back with new episodes. However, it's on at the same time as Animal Control which will feature Ken Jeong as weird dog trainer.

With Chicago Fire showing a repeat, these are all the shows that I'm going to watch or tape to watch later.

8:00 PM EST

Walker season 4 episode 2: Maybe It's Maybelline                                 8:00 PM EST                                                 The CW

Description:

When Maybelline, an 80-year-old grandmother and witness, is in crucial need of protective custody, Walker, Cassie and Trey are charged with keeping the acerbic matriarch safe. Meanwhile, Cassie grapples with a big decision and asks Geri for help.
